María Lorena Ramírez, corredora rarámuri que ha conquistado diversas carreras en México y Europa, se convirtió en la portada especial de Vogue México como parte del vigésimo aniversario de la revista.

El número especial es un homenaje a las mujeres en México donde también se encuentran la bailarina Elisa Carrillo y la actriz Irene Azuela, además de Frida Escobedo, Graciela Ángeles, Gabriela Cámara y Abigail Mendoza, entre otras.

“Me gusta ser una mujer rarámuri, me gusta tener esta cultura, estas tierras que estoy pisando, donde he crecido, es un lugar muy bello. Tenemos de todo, tenemos árboles, tenemos muchas cosas aquí en el estado de Chihuahua. Me siento muy feliz de lo que tengo”, dijo María Lorena Ramírez a Vogue.

De acuerdo con El Financiero, la edición especial es un tributo a México cuyo objetivo es compartir las historias de las mujeres que son “las verdaderas líderes de nuestros tiempos”, afirmó Karla Martínez, directora editorial de Vogue México y Latinoamérica.
