So, over on the hellbird app there’s this #shareyourRooks thing going on courtesy of @/yaevampp! So, I decided to be crazy and do all of them in the span of like-three days. There’s 14 prompts and I did 13 of them (skipped a day as it was not my cup of tea). So here’s the mega post of them!

Here’s Day 1: Seven words to describe your Rook!

Azure Aldwir— compassionate, sweet, warm, loving, silly, loyal.

Day 2: Who do think your Rook will romance? What would their relationship be like?

Azure, if you couldn’t tell, will be romancing Emmrich (bc this is my self insert essentially therefore I choose the old man). Their romance will be the sappiest and most passionate love affair!! Bc I said so!!

Day 3: What’s your Rook’s relationship with their faction, do they like working with them or were they forced into that life? Why did they join them?

Azure is a Dalish elf who feels knowing the history of their people will help not only his people, but everyone not make the same mistakes. Perhaps it was the fact he was not always Dalish that gave him this perspective, but he is very eager to learn regardless. For this reason his keeper recommended he joined the Veil Jumpers.

Day 4: What’s your Rook’s relationship with Solas? Do they hate the guy or are they chill toward him? Do they agree with his plan to break down the veil or not?

Azure and Solas have a very tentative mentor/student relationship. They both don’t fully trust each other, but both see much of themselves into each other. They both think they can sway the other to see their perspective. Time will tell what happens, but for now they are civil.

Day 6 (skipped 5): Who is your Rook’s best friend(s) in the whole world? Could be another oc or a canon character… their « bird of a feather » as some would call it.

Azure’s closest and dearest friend is Bellara, who befriended him when he first joined the veil jumpers. They play well off of each other’s excitable energy; though they often goof off when paired together for missions.

Day 7: How is your Rook’s relationship with your Inquisitor? Do they find them inspiring or do they think they are something of the past?

My Inquisitor is actually my husband’s self insert so maybe I am biased, but…

Azure and his Inquistor get along very well! Azure is a bit awestruck by him, but he plays it off well so the two plan well together. They have a polite/friendly relationship otherwise.

Day 8: What are your Rook’s favourite activities outside of work? What do they do when they want to relax or have fun?

I think this sums up what Azure likes to do pretty well!

Day 9: Who was your rook’s first love? Their first childhood crush? Who was the person that made their heart sing louder for the first time?

Azure’s first crush was Dhaveira. She has a bright smile and beautiful brown eyes. He was smitten with her despite their ten year age difference. However, she was promised to another clan mate whom she had chosen earlier on in life. The crush died out when he was told, as he just wanted her to be happy.

Day 10: Is your Rook more of a leader or a follower? How did they feel about “joining” the veilguard? Did they choose to join or did it come naturally to them?

Azure has never been a leader despite being trained to take over as keeper. He is often ruled by the heart and does what he must to make sure people are safe as he cares deeply about life as well as the world he lives in. He was honored that his work in the Veil Jumpers had reached Varric’s ear and made him come to the decision to bring him on, Azure has always been a helper. So he couldn’t stand idly knowing his gods were causing harm to the world.
