I need to stop putting in all the effort in my friendships. Lately I feel like I’m the one who is always messaging first, or the one who keeps the conversation going.

Dealing with depression freaking sucks. I should go to the doctor and get back on meds but it’s just so hard not having health insurance. I feel like everyone keeps pushing me farther and farther away and I just feel... isolated and alone. I have my husband, he’s the only constant in my life. I thought I’d finally found another person whom I could depend on as well but, something changed. We went from talking a lot to now, hardly in just a matter of less than a week.

I build people up too much and that’s my own fault because it just ends up disappointing me.

Why is it so hard to make and maintain friends?
