having a girl blorbo is like. i need to cocoon her in blankets and let her sleep until noon. i need to cook her three square meals a day so she’s not just living off coffee and the will of god. i need to see her wrestle a pig in the mud. i need to turn her into a keychain and swing her wildly around on my backpack. i need to give her a sword and set her loose. i need to steam her like a vegetable in my rice cooker. i need to grind her into dust with a mortar and pestle and turn her into sand art and display her on my shelf. i need to give her smoochies and kisses. i need to wear her in a locket that’s discovered with my corpse thousands of years later. i need to create a new constellation in her image. i need to cover her in blood.

Fire & Water

After a long time, another finished illustration from J.R.R. Tolkien's books. I experimented a bit with the composition. I wanted to achieve a dramatic moment and contrast between water and fire. But at the same time I tried to capture the atmosphere and lore of the book.

Bard the Bowman is depicted as a true archer captain (not as a smuggler), and there is also an old thrush. I was inspired by Tolkien's original illustrations of Lake town. The Big Dipper constellation is also shown here, because at the beginning of this chapter it is written that a few people from Lake Town were walking around and looking at the stars (typical of Tolkien...😊), as they liked, shortly before the dragon arrived. The highest star of this constellation also symbolically points to the dragon's weakness.

The Big Dipper constellation is mentioned a few chapters earlier, when Bilbo was traveling with raft-elves along the Forest River towards the Long Lake...

I started painting this illustration about a year ago, but... for a long time I didn't make any progress because I didn't know how to continue. Long expected-illustration!😅

Isilmë for @merilles for Art Fight 2026! This was all completely new to me and super experimental. It took me WAY longer than I thought it would. I played Pentiment recently and was very inspired by medieval manuscript art! I like to think this would be one of the items that Talion might find in Shadow of War...

okay not to ocpost again but the worst thing about having an oc is sometimes they become The Character to you. and you need to talk to someone about it like wow I can’t stop thinking about The Character… but in order to do so you have to like sit them down and explain everything about your oc first. and then it’s just you explaining your writing ideas. i need to talk about them the same way i would talk about any random character i love to someone.
