> He’s holding a pretty hefty grudge, not because he likes you but because your sadness is getting in the way of the fun mutual cruelty in your dynamic. He doesn’t like when you just roll over and take it, a ruined toy is as good as dirt. He could simply dump you but finding another person to match him is like finding a needle in a haystack so going out of his way to hurt the people who hurt you is the easier and quicker option.
> He knows he can’t go too far since you still care for your family despite how they make you feel like nothing so he decides not to cut your mothers brakes when she goes to work the next morning, he settles on calling her place of work and messaging those close to her for several days giving false accusations to destroy her character. It’s not enough to get her fired but just enough to make the people around her question her character and treat her half as poorly as shes treated you.
> He’s still not completely satisfied after turning everyone against your mother so every now and then he sneaks into your place to drive her mad. Stealing or misplacing things, puncturing her car tires or tampering with the laptop she uses for work. If he’s really feeling it he takes a piss in her humidifier or does unsavory things to her toothbrush. He considered messing with some food or tearing her clothes with scissors but he didn’t want to do anything too big and risk you finding about his secret one sided revenge scheme against your mom resulting in sitting through a stupid speech he couldn’t care less about, once your mom woke up missing an entire eyebrow you caught onto his antics but who are you to stop his fun?
> You did have to talk Kevin out of kidnapping the family cat as you know his history with animals and didn’t want her caught in this bizarre psychological warfare you somehow unintentionally started between the two people you care for most. It does however flatter you thinking about the lengths he’s willing to go to (in your eyes) “defend your honor” choosing to ignore how he’s doing this more for himself.
