Braley wrote the Plain Writing Act and passed it into law in 2010.

The legislation requires the government to write forms and documents in simple, easy-to-understand language, saving Americans time and the government money.

MADE THE ADOPTION TAX CREDIT PERMANENT

Braley introduced the Making Adoption Affordable Act and passed its provisions into law, permanently renewing a tax credit of $10,000 for families that adopt a child in need. Braley worked to gather 40 cosponsors for the bill.
