I wish I was into Rederina. At least some emotional connection to it all might be possible.
So the basic story is:
Russian spy chick does screwed up crap that has everyone hunting her. The best thing she can do to protect the only person she cares about is die.
She hatches a plan to die but come back as someone else. She takes a name and builds it into a legend. Crafts an almost entirely new identity, even from the man whose name it was. Builds an empire. Sees an opportunity to get close to the only person she cares about. Takes it. Big mistake.
‘She’ ends up having to kill a bunch of people who get too close to the truth; she can’t let anyone know her secret. She misleads and withholds and does a bunch of messed up stuff just to keep that secret. It ultimately doesn’t work out and the only person she cares about gets super messed up and then dies anyway.
Well then.
I maintain that the ending was supposed to be: ‘She dies, Liz learns the truth and takes her place.’ So after eight years they didn’t even get to do what they wanted, and the network is probably going to change things.
no, no, Liz, You were supposed to kill everyone else. Ya fucked it up!
The Blacklist is what happens when money gets put over story.
A small change and 8.22 would have been so much better:
This may have been the ending that was written before Megan Boone decided to leave and NBC shut down any of what Bokenkamp wanted to reveal to us in fear that no one would tune in for Season 9
Liz is standing on the sidewalk, saying she can’t kill Red. The shooter, Townsends man, steps out into the open and aims at Liz. Red steps in front of Liz and takes the fatal bullet. Red has saved Liz’s life. Liz empties her gun into Townsends man - he is dead. Later Liz takes out the letter from Katarina, opens it and reads it and reveals the secret to us.
Series over - I myself would be much happier
The cash cow must be milked.
“The source of my power is right here. She won’t be destroyed. Certainly not by the likes of you.”
I dimly recall a time when a line like that would make me feel something.
lol @ those who think the final answers will all fit perfectly and there will be no jammed in puzzle pieces or loose ends.
The queen who knew when to leave.
Liz turns to Bino to help her kill Reddington.
On the heels of Red saving her? Nice.
Liz puts her gun down after teary Red speech number one million and oneth?
*sigh* Just shoot him.
My dream ending:
Jennifer returns. Kills everyone.
... as a ghost.
I’m under no illusions. I know they’re gonna pull punches. But I’m still amused/annoyed. Anne has to die because she fights and it’s an accident. Liz can’t just shoot the guy, he has to try to grab a gun in front of three other armed FBI guys who are going to shoot him the second he touches it, so that they shoot him and not her. When I saw Jennifer was coming back, I knew there was a good chance they were gonna kill her, but still. Like, ten percent of me is annoyed.
They are still denying climaxes. Let Liz shoot the guy in the head. ffs.
all the blacklist fans are like aram, they're in love with reddington and don't want to believe he's the bad guy
me watching people simp for Red and swear that Liz has gone too far:
“I never wanted this.”
Boy, isn’t that an excuse that is getting so very old.
Season two it was established that Liz has the 'dont push her too far or she will become a mass murderer' gene. And Reddington knew it.
The only thing that should shock him is the lack of her shooting random people just cuz they happen to be there.
Aw. Probably. Now I'm a lil disappointed. Oh well.
