There is three ways I would like to see Starscreams development and role in the Earthspark go, or atleast how I would personally do it- But at that point its just a bunch of AUs and stuff, but whooo cares, they will probably just sideline him anyways so let me have my fun.
Ill go through my ideas briefly for this post and expand each later in seperate posts! I would also love to hear yalls thoughts on them.
All three of these ideas stem from the theory that Mandroid will try and control the decepticons, atleast those that are not disposable enough for parts, including using Starscream as a heavy hitter and for extermination to like figure out how his undying spark functions.
They also stem around the idea that GHOST turns againts the Autobots and those that have been helping them because they simply dont need them anymore. All they need is some mind contolled mfs.
Starscream and a handful of rather important cons, like for example Soundwave, Shockwave and some other big boys are controlled chiped under the command of GHOST and Mandroid.
He is sent out on the feild with others to secure and take down the autobots and Megatron, but Starscream breaks from rank as soon as he sees as he sees Megatron, and disobeys direct command to go for Optimus. His spark overloads due to anger and its power and as he goes into a rage againts megatron and his control chip gets fried.
When he realises that the decepticons have been now ordered to take him down because he snapped free, Megatron convinces him to temporarily not shoot down each other, they flee after a while and Megatron refuses to let him run off and drags the unwilling Screamer with him. Megatron doesn't need to long to figure out what will happen to the seeker if Ghost catches him again, and sees him as an opportunity to try and right his wrongs.
Starscream is trying to ditch them constantly because if he has to be in hiding he would rather be alone- But he is basically grounded.
Its made very clear that Starscream is dangerous and not intrested in getting buddy with any autobot- But the terrans soon become and exception because they approach him very diffrently then the others. Though he does not soften up any more, especially to Megatron.
Eventually though he stops trying to murder everyone and his knowledge over sience assits the group quite well.
The beginning is similar to Redemption, but Starscream decides to dip when he is freed from mind control instead of battling Megatron for a little longer. He has just recived freedom and he wont let anyone keep him in chains anymore, so he does his thing and disapears.
GHOST is hot on his heels but he simply just too fast-
Allthough solitude at first is welcome- He realises he needs the presence of his seekers, and plans to try and free some of the cons. At the same time though he always happens to stumble into the terrans and autobots, leading to plenty of hostile encounters. Its made very clear he is not to be taken lightly.
Especially when cornered and starved. He mostly stays alive by the skin of his teeth (his spark just too good bitch) and is a threat to to everything amd everyone around him
He becomes a secondary threat alongside GHOST, though they are trying to get him.
Mandroid figures out Starscreams ability to stay alive much sooner then oringally intended to in the other versions. Instead of sending him out under the control chips like everyone else he keeps him locked up and constantly tampered with like a sience project. Starscream does his best to ressist but he cant do much, helpless as he is picked apart and put back together.
His spark proved to be a pit of energy, a life source that mimiked the allspark in its nature, something that was terribly hard to extinguish.
With more time dediacted to Starscream, Mandroid mamaged to control his spark itself- So resistance was futile. (Kinda like the rampage situation in beast wars).
Starscreams spark got tampered with to the point that it starting lashing out at everything- His spark could be used to litterly suck the life out of other cybertronians- And anything technological and metalic.
Which included Mandroid himself once Starscream broke and got out of control.
He is the main threat alongside GHOST- And then later then main threat on his own- Where he seems to much more unstable, tempermental and violent then usual. Decepticons are not safe from his nature.
