black pearl and sherbet cookies dynamic is really underutilized to me. their histories with cotton and oyster cookies have interesting parallels, but they took their experiences with loss in opposite directions. sherbet holds cotton cookie close to his heart and black pearl cookie tries to erase oyster cookies memory. i think if they had an episode together, or story, it would be about sherbet cookie trying to convince her to make peace with oyster cookie's memory, but black pearl cookie would probably hold it against him that cotton cookies still alive, so he doesn't *really* know how she feels. i don't think, sadly, that black pearl cookie will ever have a redemption arc, but i hope at least she could become friends with sherbet cookie. if not the story would probably end with the theme that you just can't save everyone if they don't want help.
