Why do people often prefer anon messages rather than regular messages?

Because sometimes it’s easier to answer a single question than to hold a conversation with someone.

I don’t think anyone that doesn’t work in healthcare will ever understand the emotional, mental, and physical toll my job can have. I have to prepare and be ready at the drop of a hat to respond to whatever emergency is thrown at me that day. I have held the hand of a dying patient until their last breath, hugged and cried with their families or my own coworkers when they have none, and then walked into another room and have to be smiles and positive. I have to work under difficult ratios with combative patients… and this is just to name a few examples for those that do not work in the field.

These are things I do daily.. and sometimes, the thought of having to hold even just one more conversation with someone I don’t know or want to know is just too much.

So, I ignore a lot of my DMs. If I’ve responded, you caught me on a good day, Congrats.

If I take 3-5 business days or just don’t respond in general, works been killing me lately, I am mentally drained and you’re not one of the very, very few people that I feel won’t drain the last shred of sanity I am clinging to by trying to placate a conversation with someone who only wants to send me dick pics or try to get nudes from me.

I am just an introvert trying to sustain myself in an extroverts career.

So, I hope this clears it up for you Glasses, because I am also very aware who this anon is.
