I think a common misconception I face as an asexual lesbian is that I’m incredibly romantic, and to me, this feels like the classic- “asexuals don’t experience sexual attraction but they can still love so it’s okay!”- but repackaged.
Two big things here:
1) all alloromantics experience romantic attraction, and not all of them are romantic people. This does not change just because someone is asexual.
2) aromantic and aroace people exist! They do not need to feel romantic attraction to be human or valid (which is what is implied when you say stuff like that).
TLDR; Anyway, expecting someone to be overly romantic to “make up for” their asexuality is aphobic in so many ways so just stop doing that.
