Bonus round? | Hideaki | Endgame | ATTN: Katsumi/Makoto/Genji
Hideaki returned to staring at the ground as Genji continued, a small smile flitting across his face for a brief second as the other boy shared his slight contentment.
"I’m… glad for you. At least you had a friend, you know? Closest thing I had to one of those was Inaba-san… Kazumi-san, maybe. Mai turned out… well. Y’know. And Mason killed…"
A long sigh escaped the videogame player.
"The whole thing we just went through was so fucked, man. I just wanna go home…"
To prove his discomfort, Hideaki sat with both hands on the back of his neck, in a bracing position, just trying to pretend that he was home.
Genji was really worried now, the gamer was completely shutting down. Things had been bad for all of them and he seemed to be taking it hard.
"Hey it'll be ok. We'll be back before you know it."
"I know its not much but I think we could be friends. We've only talked a few times but....I don't really have many friends either. So I really want to hold onto the few that I do have."
Bonus round? | Hideaki | Endgame | ATTN: Katsumi/Makoto/Genji
Hideaki kept on looking at the ground, as if he was staring at some long lost love or something. Nope, just featureless ground of whatever colour the place was. Yellow? Sure was a colour.
He suddenly stopped staring when Genji placed a hand on his shoulder, and he looked at the taller boy, kind of… half feeling the same, half actually reassured.
Letting out a long sigh, he scratched his head.
"You’re right, we’re going home now… there’s not much we can really do about this whole thing, right? So we can just… enjoy the fact that we’re alive…"
Hideaki looked around the room for a second.
"…despite the fact that I’m seeing dead people. Please tell me I’m not just crazy."
"heh well if your crazy we all are. I'm pretty sure none of us are, but I can't really explain how they are here."
Looking at the other students he still couldn't understand, how were they here? Where they really just holograms? They looked real to him...
"I cant really say I'm upset about them being back though. It brings up bad memories but at least I was able to see my friend gain."
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
She hummed deeply.
"You’re always tired. Well, maybe now you can finally get some sleep.”
Was she fretting slightly over him? Maybe. She switched to weighing on her left leg.
She couldn’t say it was all behind them quite yet though. She couldn’t imagine most of the kids here were going to get over this for a while. And Naomi wasn’t sure how things were with her… past. Or more bluntly, was someone going to kill her the second she walked out? If what the mastermind said was true, then everyone knew about her, well, not being dead those years. And she wasn’t really dead now, right?
"…When we’re out of here…"
If we get out.
"…what will you do then?"
"mhhhhhh"
*sigh* "....I wish I knew. This entire time all I wanted was to get out of that place but I never thought about what I would do if I did."
He thought to himself for a bit, trying to imagine himself living a normal life again. What was normal to him now? Was there really a way he could go back to the life he once lived? And what about the others. What would they do? Would he ever be able to see them again...? Thinking this way wouldn't help him, pushing it out of his mind he continued.
"Guess we'll just have to deal with things as they happen."
Moves nerds, the cool kids arrive | Atohi | ATTN: Genji
Rushing through the halls, Atohi seemed rather anxious as he scanned for someone.
Perhaps he was not here-
"Ah, Genji-san-"
Without another word, the herbalist quickly strided over to the archer, quickly scooping him up and rushing off to parts unknown.
"ehh? Atohi?"
Genji was so shocked when Atohi suddenly appeared and grabbed him he didnt have time to react. He hadn't gotten a chance to see Atohi since the trial. What had happen to make him seem so flusttered? Nothing bad right?
"Hey what happened? Whats wrong Atohi?"
Bonus round? | Hideaki | Endgame | ATTN: Katsumi/Makoto/Genji
Hideaki, as was the norm one week in, and was still the norm now, wasn’t looking at anywhere but the ground, so the sudden intrusion of a familiar voice startled him a bit. Jolting up, he saw Genji. His heart slowed somewhat, knowing it was someone he’d actually talked to before.
"Uh… hey."
Hideaki’s gaze returned to the floor as Genji sat beside him.
"…it’s a hell of a lot to try and wrap my head around. The motives, the setup, the fact that we came here cause of Hope’s Peak… it’s all a bit… much. …not to mention that I don’t know what the hell I have to do with anything. My talent isn’t exactly… old."
Hideaki tapped his arcade stick twice for emphasis.
"Everyone else, sure. they’re all able to be traced to like… non-tech stuff. Not me. I feel… like the odd one out, you know?"
"…then again, Mai did talk about… being forced to live without tech, or something. Maybe I was an extreme case? …I dunno."
Hideaki’s gaze never moved, still staring at the floor. He wasn’t exactly taking the whole past few hours well.
If it even WAS a few hours.
((EDIT- WOW I HE FORGOT ABOUT AKIRA WHAT A DUMB SHIT NERD))
"Yea I can't really say I understand the reasoning behind all this. From what little time I spent with her she seemed nice. I don't think I'll ever understand why someone would do this...."
"But thats all over now, we are going home. We can't change whats happened and I don't know what will happen next but I want to believe that things will get better."
Placing a reassuring hand on the others shoulder Genji tried to sound confident. He couldn't do much to help his classmates now or before at the snow center but at least he could do this.
Bonus round? | Hideaki | Endgame | ATTN: Katsumi/Makoto/Genji
The time between the finding of the mastermind to now was entirely a blur for Hideaki. All he really took in was fire, walking, stairs, robots, stairs, snow, snow, snow, helicopters, snow, snow, snow.
Snow.
This place wasn’t snowy at all.
This place was actually fairly warm, entirely unlike snow, entirely unlike everything he’d slowly started getting used to over the past while.
How long had it even been?
He didn’t know.
All he knew was that he was in some new area, with a lot of people, people he knew, people he used to know, people he’d never met yet. Lots of people.
And as was the usual for the boy when he was out of his element, he took a seat on a nearby bench, clutched his arcade stick, and tried to just stay awake.
As much as he was assured that the game was over, the killings were over, everything was done, he couldn’t trust it. He couldn’t trust the bear and the rabbit, and he couldn’t trust the vision of people being alive at this point.
He barely trusted himself.
And so he sat, trying to not have anyone disturb him, and trying to not disturb others with his presence.
After all that had happened Genji wasn't sure how to handle it. Everyone seemed to be talking, greeting the other students and talking with people we never expected to see again. It was all alot to take in. It was so different then what they had been through these last few weeks. He couldn't bring himself to be a part of it, choosing to stay back rather then join the others. Apparently he wasn't the only one. Across the room was Hideaki sitting by himself looking pretty out of it. He didn't know what he could do considering they had only spoken once but at least he could check up on the guys. Making his way around to the other side of the room he approached the other boy.
"uh Hideaki-san? Hey you ok? Its a lot to take in huh?"
Taking a seat next to him Genji made himself comfortable. Looking out at all the other students, he took note of each new face.
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
Naomi grumbles. He had it on him, so that made it better, but sentiments like that could be dangerous weaknesses to have. A common weakness found in humans she knew well. She grasped the scarf she carried harder. She may have decided to no longer wear the accessory, but couldn’t get rid of it.
She scratched her chin with the other hand. Why’d she want him to punch her? Seemed obvious enough to her.
"I’m… feeling fine. I simply wanted to see more into the condition on our nervous system as we now are. Really, I’d have to say this could have been worse. Logically, I should have died. I suppose this is quite the miraculous turnout, even when assuming the unknown variables of this situation will end up unfavorable… But, ah, are you feeling okay? You are… red.”
Thanks, Naomi. She at least tried to be polite in returning the question. It was surprising she remembered to do so. It’s not like she ever had her parents to tell her these things. Yakuza don’t teach manners very well either.
"ah- no no its nothing. I'm just tired I guess. Its been pretty crazy the last few days."
Covering his face with the back of his hand he waved her off. He really was bad at talking without embarrassing himself.
"Everything happened so fast I still can't believe that we might get out of this. I don't really know what to do with myself. "
It was like they had woken up from a bad dream. That maybe there really was a light at the end of the tunnel. He almost didn't want to get his hopes up. He felt like an idiot.
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
Thank goodness he didn’t just leave her hanging. That would have been awkward.
Fascinating though, that holding Genji’s hand again could be so similar to before. Unlike him, she of course couldn’t help but think into it, way too much.
She let him go, but tried to keep the feeling in mind. For science. He continued to talk about the promise they had made before… that motive and what Naomi had done.
"Doubt that, finding one here. Maybe once we’re off this boat…"
Naomi could only hope she’d be making it off this boat. She’d think up a statistic if there weren’t so many unknown variables. Whatever she was now, could that be removed from that place? Will she need a source of power to continue going? Will this new form burn out eventually? Though, before this Naomi’s body had been burning out anyway.
"Of course, I’m probably rusty. Might not be able to rely on muscle memory anymore either."
What he said next evoked an different reaction from Naomi.
"Wh-what? Genji, don’t be…! That’s… I could always have gotten you a new one! You shouldn’t have done that! You could have been left behind!"
"haha it really wasn't that big of a problem. I just happened to have it on me when we where pretty much rushed out of there. We weren't able to go back for anything so im kinda happy I was able to at least save that."
Reaching into the inside of his jacket he pulled out the book. It was something that was easily replaced but still Genji was happy he had it.
"I know its stupid, but I means a lot to me."
Getting embarrassed Genji quickly changed the subject.
"a-anyway are you doing ok. Like are you feeling ok. And why did you want me to punch you anyway? "
really smooth genji. Master of small talk right here...
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
Naomi pouted. Why did this always seem to happen when talking to Genji?
She didn’t want to talk about that transmission. It had been a mistake. A lapse of proper judgement.
"You’re not the one who said anything wrong. I mean… I called you stupid."
The worst thing to call someone, clearly. At least it seemed to be from Naomi’s point of view.
She had been thinking about their conversation for days now and the results were not in her favor.
"Listen… What you said was right. Completely right…"
She pondered for some time. She wasn’t good with this sort of thing. Talking. Feelings. She had started out so well pretending as Eri. Sort of. Well, maybe not. Didn’t really matter now that he was gone.
"I wrote you that letter because like you said, I didn’t want to die. Every single day for the past years I’ve had to face the fact that I was dying… I- I’m… “
She looked down. Sign of weakness, but Genji wouldn’t judge her. He’d already seen plenty worse from her after all.
"But you are wrong about… All I’ve ever been is kind to you? I’ve been a right jerk. You’ve been trying to be my friend and all I’ve done is try to push you away…."
What was she trying to say? That was something she didn’t actually know.
She pondered some more, probably boring Genji at this rate. She finally looked up, with some determination that hadn’t been seen on her face for a long time.
"I might be just a hologram… or advanced robot now… But fucking- Let’s start over. If you’ll have me…"
What a foolish proposal. Memories can’t just be forgotten like that. Maybe erased, thanks bear, but ‘starting over’ was a completely imprudent concept.
Hell with it. She swallowed hard and sucked up her nerves and pride and held out her hand.
"I’m Naomi Akiyama."
That took Genji by surprise. He hadn't been expecting that but when she held out her hand to him he couldn't help but smile.
"Well then Naomi Akiyama, Its nice to meet you."
Taking her hand he gentle shook it. It was strange she felt really even though he knew that couldn't be right. He tried not to think into it to much.
"You know, I seem to remember you said you would teach me a promise to teach me how to play the piano. heh I doubt we'll be able to find a piano on this thing though."
"I haven't really had much time to read that book you gave me though. but at least I was able to save that before we got rushed out since I had it in my jacket."
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
Hm. Well, she kind of expected this. She needed to know the limits to this new form of her’s however.
"Just punch me. Right in the gut. I probably won’t even feel it."
Lies. She probably would. Heck if she didn’t deserve it though.
It’d been awhile since she had talked to anyone, dead or alive, she almost forgot her manners!
"Um, please."
Perfect! Now how could he refuse her? Okay, no. That was stupid.
"It would be a problem if I had CIPA now or something, wouldn’t it?”
A slightly more logical argument. Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis. That wouldn’t really be it though. Congenital insensitivity to pain without the anhidrosis, maybe. She could still feel the warmth of her cheek compared to her cold and finally gloveless hands. She had felt too stuffy and trapped in those clothes. Everyone knew the secret she had tried to keep. No more use hiding.
"eh?-Eh? I don't understand what your saying."
"look I'm not going to hit you. Even if you ask nicely."
Figiting Genji crossed his arms in front of himself. he felt unsure of himself and fumbled over what to say before the words actually came out.
"...Eri, We should talk. After the transmission room froze over I figured I'd never talk, let alone see you again. I'm sorry about last time, I didn't said alot without thinking about the situation you were in."
Naomi Akiyama | what kind of feucking hologram | Re: Genji
Naomi listened to the final trial. They had done it. They had caught the mastermind. It was all over. She had failed them, but they had persevered. They didn’t need her after all.
Where had Naomi gone after Harumi yelled at her? She had hidden in shame for those days. She couldn’t keep up the persona of Eri Yamamoto any longer. Two people died because she thought she could change. Or they were still alive? Or not? What was Perasmata? The latest trial shed a little bit of light on that along with Monomi’s and Monokuma’s little… charade.
Code. They were all code. Naomi had always been told she was a freak of a machine. This was… fitting.
Before she knew it she had woken up. She was still trying to wrap her head around the whole thing. This wasn’t really her psychical form if they were to be believed. A hologram? She’d never seen any hologram so advanced. Maybe animatronics. But, then again, apparently they had intricate enough tech to create simulations.
Her mind was alive and running, hologram or whatever. Perhaps she should just leave it at that for now, as difficult as that may be. That’s what she told herself, but her mind kept going.
She could feel the bed she woke up on. Perhaps testing the limits to this would shed some light.
She found the bear pretty quickly. She simply… tapped his head. He didn’t like it. Okay, but it worked. Or something. She could definitely interact with things as well as grasping the feel of textures. Interesting. But to what extent would she feel?
She wandered away from the bear without a word as she thought. And, there he was. Genji! Naomi was relieved. He was here. That was expected though of course, so relief was foolish. Clearly, she must be feeling relieved not for that, but because of the opportunity.
She would greet him, but that would be a inefficient use of time! There were more pressing matters. Like science.
"Genji. Punch me."
Genji nearly jumped out of his skin when Eri suddenly walked up to him. He had been paying more attention to the ground then his surroundings. It didn't help much that the first words out of her mouth was "punch me". What? How was he suppose to react to that.
"Eri?w-what? No! Why would I punch you!?"
He tried to take a step back but he had been leaning against the wall earlier so he couldn't go far. His mind was going a mile a minute. The last time they had talked hadn't ended to well. What should he say? Why should he want to punch anyone?
Sail away | Genji | Atten: Anyone
He felt like he was in a whirled wind as the mastermind trial finally came to an end. With Sachiko executed it meant that they were free right? He didn’t any time to think before they where practically pushed out the building and to the ski lift. Genji was able to get a quick backwards glace at Monokuma kneeling in the snow before the lift took him and the snow center out of sight. Everyone seemed to be in a daze as they boarded the helicopters. Genji almost didn’t think it was real, they were finally leaving that place.
As the arrived at the ship Genji couldnt help but feel a pit in his stomach. While he was happy that they had finally found the mastermind he could not forget all the people they had left behind there. Did he really deserve to be here while they could not?
"…"
On the lower level he noticed new faces. They must be the remaining students from the other class. Then something caused him to stop in his tracks. A face that he recognized but didn’t expect to see again. Around him he started to see more faces he never thought he’d see again. It was the dead kids, or at least holograms of them.
"……………"
Genji didn’t know what to think. He was so tired, anything seemed possible at this point. Though he desperately wished to see if his friends were ok he just could find the words. He felt like a coward, wanting so much but to scared to act. So instead he choose to fade into the background. Simply staying out of the way and keeping to himself.

A Traveller's Always Travelling
We’re traveling towards some sort of destination… But where will that lead us in the end?
Welcome to your place of temporary shelter and residence— Istioploia. Remarkable, huh? Now then— Get over your amazement, because we’re about to go over a few base rules of how this blog is going to work until endgame.
General Disclaimer & Overview
Istioploia is an area of safety and relaxation for the remainder of the trip back home— Or, wherever this ‘destination’ intends to bring you. It’s unclear, that’s certain… But you’ll make use of the information you can.
In this blog, all students are able to post and participate. At this point in time, the Blue kids have just arrived on the vessel through the air and you, the Black kids, are half way home. All of the dead kids from both games are here, too— INCLUDING the MASTERMINDS!!— But as holograms!! Feel free to talk with them and chat with them as you would as if they were alive. A transmission center is included, but is not necessary since— Hey— They’re holograms coming from it after all.
In Istioploia, you can access all indoor areas that have previously been accessible in both Black and Blue with the exception of a new joined bunking room. If it was in your game, don’t hesitate to ask to travel there. You can do it automatically without a mod’s approval! It’s already per-approved.
You Can
interact with everybody— alive kids, dead kids, black kids, blue kids… everybody!
inquiry usami and monobear about where you’re going, what’s going to happen, and anything having to do with what you’ve heard previous before you left your respective testing center!
You Can’t
murder another student! seriously. what the fuck?
go outside whatsoever. usami and monobear won’t allow you!
utilize the main game blogs any longer.
There are currently three NPCs accessible in Istioploia. Those are Monobear, black’s monobear, Monomi, blue’s monomi, and Usami, a bot found on the vessel, turned on, and re-activated. Apparently this one was supposed to be used for one of the journeys, but wasn’t! Shocker.
Black’s Monomi was left behind on the travel as well as Monokoi and Tsusami. Monokuma (now deceased) from Blue was also left behind.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact one of the two main GMs! Until then— Have fun with Part Two of Astral’s Interractive Endgame!
