[Hello friends, I’ve noticed a few people are having problems trimming posts with this update so I figured now’s a better time than ever to show an alternate way to trim posts if you don’t want to download more extensions and such.

Firstly, reblog the post and write your reply. Once you’re done, click the gear icon and switch to HTML editing:

Highlight everything after the first <blockquote> tag up to the first <p> tag before your partner’s latest reply

Delete all of the highlighted text and switch back to regular editing or preview or w/e and then post.

Your post is now trimmed and ready to go! This also works wonders on the mobile browser version of Tumblr if you ever find yourself needing to trim threads on mobile.
