As their voice wavered, her eyes glowed. She was making them nervous. Good. This is what she wanted. Had she heard the spider comparison in their head, she would have taken great pleasure in it. As it was, she would have to get her sustenance from their gasp.
She wanted to make them gasp like that again, if she could.
"Do you like the paranormal?" she asked, turning her face to them and holding forth the doll. "Or are you just a toy collector who prefers the dark?"
With her free hand, she concealed her mouth as she laughed a soundless laugh. If they were truly a toy collector after dark spaces, she might have to kiss them. It was a ridiculously stupid notion, but she lived for pretty people who were ridiculously stupid.
She gathered her purchases again, choosing for forgo the lingerie for good. It was too cheap, here, anyway.
Aika inclined her head towards the register, asking, “Do you want to walk me back to campus?”
They were getting more and more nervous as she continued to watch them. She made their heart race and thoughts cloud over with her gaze alone. Usually, Kin would simply talk their way away from those who intimidated them, but they found it extremely hard to do so with her. She commanded obedience it seemed, and they simply had no choice but to comply.
Kin looked at the doll in her outstretched hand to escape her stare. It comforted them somewhat, but they sorely wished for it to be back in their own hands as a wall between themself and her.
"I...I'm interested in the paranormal, yes..." They had to take a pause since their voice was beginning to fail them once more. They were only able to get through the rest of their statement through mumbling. "I came to investigate that vessel you're holding..."
With their comment hanging there, ignored, they turned their attention to the (rather dirty, wow the managers needed to invest in a vacuum) floor. Kin heard her messing with whatever it was she had in her other hand, but didn't really care to look anywhere but the floor. That is, until she spoke once more.
They looked up to her, a small blush beginning to creep onto their cheeks. Kin didn't exactly want to leave the store yet, but they struggled to find an excuse.
"A-ah, well, you see..." They swallowed. "I wasn't exactly...finished looking at that vessel..."
