Good video showcasing exactly why these dogs are not suited to 99 percent of households.
They've gotten very popular recently and I suspect theyre also being dumped in shelters at a high rate
I can confirm they are.
Which is one of the reasons I reblogged this, I vaguely hope it might make someone somewhere reconsider their choices
distressing things to say to your friends
Its been five years of itās august and the flow of time still haunts me
big fan of a character seeking comfort in the arms of the thing thatās going to kill them. and i am psycologicalily normal too.
everything costs so much more than two years ago......... wtf
the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.
there's a family of local sandhill cranes that adopted an abandoned goose last summer and they're STILL together today even after migration.... i love them + they're local celebrities + nature is beautiful

Fishpond Mosaic designed by artist Gary Drostle
@copperbadge I feel like this is something you would appreciate.
Oh, that is lovely. And I always appreciate an artist attribution too!
Here's the artist's website.
He's been doing mosaics like this for a while. (I followed up on the one in the top illustration some while ago, when I first ran into it online. I think I remember discovering that the town in Surrey where it originally appeared has removed it: no idea why.)
good morning to horror fans, fat bitches, people with psychosis, they/thems, people who canāt drive, trans women, witches, and single dads. the rest of you... youāre on your own
Google quietly added generative AI capabilities to Google Earth, allowing anyone to generate false images on top of real satellite imagery. It seems pretty rudimentary, but the potential for disinformation is sky-high.
Anyway, did y'all hear that they nuked the White House?
Within the first few hours of its discovery, people on Twitter used this tool to generate an Epstein Island attraction at Disneyland, a mega-prison within Googleās headquarters, and a sequel to 9/11.
Google has already announced that they will be ārolling backā this feature because of screenshots like these:
The fact that they want to bring it back with āguardrailsā is ridiculous. Screenshots like these are not the work of some malign actors, theyāre instant proof that your idea is terrible on its face
[Getting so angry it makes my brain disease worse] people sre supposed to be nice..
for some people their wheelchair made their world lot bigger
for some people their wheelchair made their world lot smaller
for some people it feel both at same time. or neither.
other people realities different from what you know shouldnāt feel threatening to you n if it does it yours to work thru
For me it feels like both.
I know that without my wheelchair Iād be completely bed bound. My wheelchair allows me to go outside and work and have a social life and go sailing and all the things I love doing.
But it canāt go everywhere I want to go and Iāve lost places with huge sentimental importance to me and that sucks. And because my wheelchair pretty much encases me on all sides and I canāt get out of my wheelchair without a hoist, I end up feeling like it separates me from everyone and everything around me.
Iām happy for people whose wheelchairs feel liberating and who have largely positive relationships with them. I wish that there was more room in some disability spaces for people with more difficult feelings and recognition that those experiences arenāt necessarily rooted in ableism.
