Love IS War | Aiko & Remy | Closed
Aiko was relieved to find Remy finally. Was she carrying books? That’s right, the library opened. Normally, Aiko would’ve been all for exploring and searching for a good romance novel to read but not now. Definitely not now.
She wanted to protest when Remy grabbed her trunk, but she knew Remy wouldn’t let her take it back. Besides, it was pretty heavy. She just nodded her head when she asked about leaving Hufflepuff. “Yeah, I can’t stand the sight of him in there. And it’s depressing with Tanja-san too. I don’t have anything against Hideo-san and Chouko-san but I need to leave.”
When Remy automatically offered her to stay with her in the Slytherin dorm she felt relieved. “Thanks, Remy-san.” That was the most positive sounding statement she’s said all day. But still no smile was on her face.
She followed Remy into the Slytherin dorm after learning the password. It was good to drop off their stuff before they went to get drinks.
Remy's a smile, she settles Aiko down. It don't take long, a bed near Remy's. A dead persons? Just a spare? Bit hard to tell. Bit strange overall. But then again, Remy's goal is clear. Bringing Aiko to the pub. Ordering bottles of firewhiskey. Sittin both bottles in front of the Matchmaker.
"Aight. Now we drink til our fury ain't so deep. Yeah?"
She’s a simple girl of simple pleasures and the simple desire to hurt others what hurt her. And to make her ‘friends’.. if that’s the word, feel at least a little better in this magical asshole wonderland
Heaven or Hell, Lets Rock!|Remy|Open
“[Ah, yes! Ah understand completely! In fact, Ah actually think that ya seem to be smart enough to even pick up this kinda magic whatever]”
Travis turned and picked up the book that Remy had thrown, and walked over slowly to give it back to her. He was a bit surprised at her accent, but he quickly shook it off
“[May Ah ask-Why are ya studyin’ all of this stuff? Are ya plannin’ to do something with your new found skills?]”
He looked around the library from where he stood after he finished his question, blinking at all these books. Was Remy really planning to study in this kind of place…?
Remy pushes her notes aside, looking over Travis as he talks. His accent ain’t Louisiana. Maybe Georgia way? Or Alabama... Hard to say, ain’t it Remy. It ain’t Yat like yours, but at least he hears you better than Aiko do.
“[Why Ah’m studyin is fer my own reasons, Mista Travis. S’personal business, heard?]”
She looks over him, watching his face and body, holding her hand out for the book she threw at the wall.
“[Compliment me all yew want Mista Travis, Ah ai’t got no heart fer empty words like dat. All I needs is ta keep readin]”

Aiko felt oddly uplifted by Remy’s motivational speech. Aiko was scorned. Rex had done absolutely nothing wrong. Seth should have confessed when she pressed him. Instead he lied and said it wasn’t him.
But the facts were there. That glass? His glasses. A person who loved animals? Seth. A person who would bother comforting someone before they died? Seth. The only person who kept denying evidence that lead to him was legit? Seth.
It made her blood boil thinking back on it. He lied. Cried to covince the others it wasn’t him. He never confessed. Allowed someone to die in his place.
He could have confessed after the votes and tried to take responsibility right? Could have said, no I deserve the execution not him!
Aiko nodded her head at Remy as she headed towards the Hufflepuff commons area where she was sure she would find him.
—————————–Time Skip to After the Confrontation———————-
Aiko felt numb. She dragged her suitcase and belongings with her out of the Hufflepuff portal but realized, she still needed to find Remy. Great. Where to look? She began wandering the area dragging her trunk behind her with her cat following closely behind and still hugging her T-Rex plushie.
Remy, for her part, is slightly better. Slightly. She's got books under her arms. The Library paid off.. a lil bit. Maybe not as much as she'd hoped. These books weren't much. So ain't it strange to find Miss Aiko, prim an proper... Not?
Stick your books under one arm, use your spare hand to lift up the back end of Aiko's trunk. Its light to you, but probably ain't to you.
"No body in there, guess you here for drinks an somewheres far away from the yellow house, huh?"
Remy's not smiling, just stating facts.
"I'll putcha up with me, away from Miss Superstituous and Miss Stupid"
Love IS War | Aiko & Remy | Closed
Aiko was surprised to meet Remy’s arm but also relieved because she didn’t want to hurt her. She only wanted to hurt Seth. Make him pay for not taking responsibility for his reckless actions. She was slightly panting after getting a little worked up.
She was ready. Remy confirmed it.
“Thank you so much, Remy-san.” Aiko said bowing towards the taller girl. Her head was buzzing with anger and grief and she really did just want to lash out at something. She was starting to walk away when she hesitated for a moment…
“Is this… alright?” Minor doubts, Aiko had never hurt anyone before.
But now. It didn’t help she had seen Ayame earlier either, that jealousy may have also been fueling her. But reliving the reality that Rex was dead with Hideo and just feeling unable to bring justice, she felt she had to do this. In her mind Seth killed Rex.
“I’ve never… been this angry before.” It’s true, Aiko was on edge and was she starting to shake a little in anticipation? But she needed to go, why was she still talking to Remy? She already asked the questions so it’s fair to wait for the answers.
Remy isn't smiling. Her face is not angry. Her face is very calm, very cold. Oh but the fire in her eyes, the terrible urge to hurt and desire to destroy. Empathy and Wrath make strange bedfellows in Remy's soul. And the words that come from her mouth are laced with violent intent and drive.
"[Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scored]"
She holds her finger up in front of her face, not to shush Aiko, more of a teacherly motion. Remy looks down at her 'pupil' and continues her wisdom
"We been scored girl. We let somebody have our hearts an then... somebody we don't even know come an take ours from us. That ain't right. That ain't fair. We get to be angry. We get to be the fury! We get to hold a motherfucker down an pound 'em til we feel better!"
Remy sweeps her hands and grits her teeth, a wild woman waiting for an excuse to explode on somebody, trying to impress on Aiko the 'proper' way to express such feelings.
"Thas wrath! Our wrath! The wrath of a girl who ain't got somebody to hold her no more! So you hurt 'em! You don't let that wrath eatcha up! You let it out! You punish 'em til you feel better!"
Remy curls over on herself, her hands making a strangling motio as she pictures the object of her hatred. That fucker who took her away and she can't hurt him.
"An... an when you done."
She talks quietly now, her tone normal instead of wrathful.
"When you done, you come find me. I'll help you hide a body or take ya for drinks. Maybe both."
Love IS War | Aiko & Remy | Closed
Hmmm… Aiko watched closely again and began twisting and slowly moving her fist forward practicing making the single movement. Using the momentum to throw the punch she practiced. First with the right then with the left. Then she kicked her right heeled foot up pretending to knock someone over.
She kept doing it over and over, getting more heated each time as she imagined punching Seth in the stomach and making him pay. Pay for costing an innocent person to die.
As she had been practicing she got carried away and threw a punch at Remy without stopping in front of her in time. Due to the height difference it was aimed for slightly above the stomach.
If she accidentally landed this hit she would feel horrible for hitting her teacher.
Remy doesn't dodge, its a surpise, isn't it? But what's more of a surprise is when Aiko's fist slams into the hard bone of Remy's elbow. The fighter barely grimaces as she looks down at the matchmaker
"An thas a block. Yeah? You gettin the basics here"
Remy eases out of her stance gently, then stretching and yawning as she thinks more and more. There are dirty tricks, there are brutal thoughts, there's years and years of bloodshed to be learned...
"...You oughta be fine. Seth ain't nuthin"

“HOLY SHIT”
Travis almost got hit by that book holy shit.
He didn’t seem to notice Remy at first, but as soon as that book hit the wall, he quickly looked over to where its source came from, and was rather surprised to find Remy.
“[Heyo, Remy, How is it goin’?]”
Was he…talking in English?
And with…a southern sounding accent?
“{Oh, yeah, Ah donut really like those quills and…papers, whatever either….Er, Ah can help you with anythin’ if you like?}”
Remy looks up from her books, slamming her quill through the paper with a splatter of ink and a shaking of the table. Her anser comes back in her own thick southern drawl
"[Ah ain't got no time fa you boy! Ah'm lookin shit up fa... fa you ain't gotta worry bout tha an...]"
Remy looks up from her work, finally, eyes burning at Travis
"[Ah ain't... wait shit... Mistah Lawya? Eh... sahry man, Ah'm a bit... undone, yaknow? Jus ain't neva had tah study much...]"
Remy's gaze softens as she looks over Travis.
"[Yew undastand don'tcha? Ain't exactly all set up fer all dis bullshit...]"
Heaven or Hell, Lets Rock!|Remy|Open
Why’s Remy in the library? Whats with these stacks of potions books? She didn’t even build a little fort out of them or anything. She’s actually reading and studying and… well she did just throw that one against the wall, but mostly she is indeed studying and cursing under her breath while making sloppy notes on a bit of parchment
“[Fuckin bullshit can’t even give me a goddamn pen an paper fer this shit you sunnuva bitch fuckin pansy ass lil fuckers I got shit to DO]”
I wouldn’t bother her if I were you, kid, but hey. I ain’t you. So go ahead.

Aiko flinched when she saw the fist coming at her and whiz close to her ear. Whoo, she felt that air hit her. Remy’s title definitely wasn’t something to joke about. But she was glad she went to her, she knew the right fighting techniques.
So after observing Remy’s stance, she mimicked her stance. Left foot in front, right in back, body twisted to the side and hands up. She tried to punch again, this time going straight. It would stop just in front of her chest if she didn’t block it with her hand.
“Better?” Aiko asked, eager to learn more.
Remy's face scruches as she tries to find her words. You can find it, can't you Remy? A way to describe it... right right, you can make it work. You can have more vengance through Aiko.
"You gotta... twist, yaknow? Put more into it, get it? A twist gives ya more force. But this just a jab, a left. Fer feelin out space tween you an a opponent. When you wanna hit..."
From her stance, Remy throws her right hook, twisting her body to give the blow more force. It isn't wide, the motion put into the punch is just enough to get the punch out.
"You use a hook like that, knock somebody down. Then you put the boots to 'em. Get it?"
Love IS War | Aiko & Remy | Closed
Aiko knew she could rely on Remy to teach her the proper ways to fight. She was just so full of rage right now after overcoming the initial shock and sorrow. Hearing her request though… she realized she didn’t really know much.
However she faced Remy and stood square to her as she put her right hand into a fist, her thumb on the side at least knowing not to put them under her fingers, and threw a punch in the air.
It was quite weak and wobbly, but if it did hit something it would still hurt. She looked at Remy and waited for her criticism and teaching.
Shit. Shiiiit. Shiiiit. Alright. You can make this work Remy, stand up. Square up, your fists in front of your face, backs of your hands out towards Aiko. With one great twisting thrust, snap out a jab just past Aiko's ear, a bolt of lightning just missing her.
"Thas how you throw a jab. Square up, make it spin, yeah? Put realy force into it, just don't swing it. Snap it. Forward, not to the side. Heard?"
Remy does not drop from her fighting stance, its a lesson in of itself, both hands clenched into tight fists, held near her face, torso twisted to the side so as to give a smaller target, left foot in front, right in back.
A fighter's stance is the start, might as well show her a good one.

After talking to Hideo and calming down a bit Aiko had felt numb. She wandered the school thinking about what had happened. Realizing it wasn’t just a nightmare and thinking about how Seth never confessed, just lied… and the others believed him… it made her angry. Actually, thinking about Seth more started to make her furious.
She had to confront him. Ask him if it was worth it, to let another innocent person die in his place. But she didn’t know where to start.
During her wandering she found herself in the Outer Coutyard and there lying on the benches, trying to sleep no doubt, was the perfect person to ask for help. Normally she would’ve been more courteous, but she had a mission. She hurried over towards the tall woman and made her presence known.
“Remy-san! Please teach me how to beat a person up!” It felt weird for her to be saying these words while bowing down to Remy, but she felt a new found passion. Justice needed to be served. She needed to avenge Rex. She wouldn’t be able to sleep peacefully unless she punched Seth at least once.
Remy snaps awake, as she is prone to doing, swiveling her head towards Aiko and her question. Well request, aint it? Who really knows. You ain't one for semantics. You are one for kickin ass, but really, you gotta get the full go, don'tcha Remy? You barely heard Miss Aiko.
"I'mmawake... ain't... what the fuck... Whatchu... you wanna mess somebody up?"
Poor Remy, half asleep still and fumblin to sit up straight in front of Miss Aiko. AIn't it how its supposed to be? Shape up, ask again. Think about it. Ain't it enough to make you wanna laugh?
"...Wait you... you wanna hurt some folks?"
Think about it. Ain't it enough to make you wanna cry? Now Aiko knows that feelin to. The fury an hurt of loss. Ain't like she lost the same way you has, but loss is loss. An its time to be an avengin angel Remy.
"Aight. Les start it. How much you know. Throw a punch fer me."
Round 3! Ready? No.|Remy|Motive Reaction|Closed for Hideo.
Ow. Remy hits hard, and while Hideo’s reflexes are considerably better than one might expect, they’re not quite good enough to allow him to dodge. Hideo, meet the ground, ground meet Hideo, I’m sure you’ll get along great.
But what’s this? After a moment of staring up at Remy, one hand over his already swelling eye, the nervous crybaby is getting back to his feet. He is crying now though, tears rapidly working up to a stream, though thankfully he hasn’t started sobbing or blubbering. Yet.
“I-I’m s-sorry, I don’t th-think you’re stupid, I r-really don’t!” Hideo stammers on the words but forces them out anyway, it seems like he’s actually more upset about giving her that impression than he is about being punched in the face. He glances at the thing she’s pointing at, good eye quickly flicking back to her face though as he tenses in case she decides to swing at him again.
“B-but it’s… I mean, this game ain’t like most games, i-it’s linked directly to our brains. W-which means it can… pull images outta our heads, right? Th-that’s how… that’s how it was able t’show us our desires in the mirror before, s-so… th-they coulda just found out what it looked like from your memories or s-somethin’, it don’t mean th-that they have it… right…?” Is this actually something he believes or just a desperate grasp for optimism? Either way, it does make a kind of sense. Probably not enough to spare him from getting hit again, though. It’s also notable that in his panic, Hideo’s dialect and syntax have plunged from middle class Tokyo to straight down below the poverty line.
Her fist pulls back again, her whole body screaming out ‘You dumb motherfucker you must want another punch huh?’
Then she stops, she drops her arm. She thinks. Think thinks real hard. She goes over the logic in her head. It really takes only a coupla seconds, but its obvious she's pondering hard.
"Shit man... Yer prolly right, ain'tcha? Sorry man, got to heated."
Remy holds out her hand for a handshake to finish her apology. An actual honest to god apology from Remy
"Les go getchu a steak for that eye, yeah?"
Round 3! Ready? No.|Remy|Motive Reaction|Closed for Hideo.
While Remy is doing her looking thing, Hideo is just watching her with a sort of wary patience. He wouldn’t be surprised if she just decided to punch him, but at least he’d probably provide a softer surface than the invisible wall thing. He flinches as she raises her fist, blinking at the blood and feeling only slightly ill. Just pretend it’s fake, he tells himself. Yeah, no, can’t do that, he knows what fake blood looks like and this is definitely not corn syrup and food coloring.
The question is actually more alarming than the blood though, mostly because Hideo has no idea how to answer. Does she even want him to answer? Is it supposed to be a rhetorical question? What exactly does this have to do with his offer of helping to heal the split skin?
Frightened and increasingly confused, Hideo struggles to find something to say before she gets fed up with waiting.
“I, um, t-trying to break through the barrier…?” He sounds like a child in class, only half sure of their answer to the teacher’s pointed question. “But i-it’s… I mean, it’s not going to work… u-um, if it makes you feel better though, I mean, th-the stuff in here isn’t real, a-and Monodore is p-probably lying about being able to get to our things in the real world… h-he’s not even real himself, right? Just an AI so…”
He tried, man. He tried.
Remy punches Hideo in the face. Its really to be expected from her... isn’t it? its really hard enough to leave his eye blackened, knock the horror star flat on his ass.
“You think I’m stupid? You think I’m dumb, dontcha. You only got half the question right, so that’s all I’mma give you, asshole. Why’m I tryin to break a wall what can’t be broke. Huh? Are ya thick or can ya answer that. Fuck it. I’ll answer FOR you, asshole.”
She points towards the object of her desires in the piles of junk. The old and beaten thing, lacking the light that oughta be running through it.
“That. That right there. The only way its in a game is somebody model it, yeah? Somebody puts it there, yeah? They seen it, they looked at it, they been close enough to make it match the real one that I seen every day a of my life. That means... that means they HAVE it. That means they can wreck it. Cause you don’t remake somethin like that one ta fuckin one without HAVIN it.”
She glares down at Hideo, disgust and wrath on her face
“Thats why I’m poundin on the wall”
Round 3! Ready? No.|Remy|Motive Reaction|Closed for Hideo.
See, Hideo, this is what happens when you have bad ideas. You end up stammering an obvious statement at a giant street fighter and getting stared down by her. For a moment Hideo is so intimidated that he can scarcely breathe. It isn’t often that someone can tower over him- though, really, that isn’t even necessary to scare him. He’s like a skittish horse, any sudden movement would get him startled.
But if there’s one thing stronger than Hideo’s fear, it’s his ridiculous desire to help people. Even scary and aggressive people he doesn’t really know who are threatening violence and swearing at him.
Fortunately he remembers just in the nick of time not to start off his reply by saying he’s sorry, since she’d just told him to stop apologizing. Right. He can. Probably. Do that.
“I-I um, I mean, I… I know something th-that can h-heal th-that…” He makes a shaky gesture at her hands and knee. “I’m not t-trying to piss you off I, um, I just want to help…” He managed not to say he was sorry even once! Achievement unlocked! Not really.
Remy looks at him. She looks at her own blood. She looks at him again. She looks at what lays behind the invisible wall. Her glare is mostly gone. Replaced simply by a scowl. She holds her bloody fist to his face, and she poses the question.
"Why you think I'm doin this, huh? Tell me what you think I'm tryin to do here."
Thats it. Thats all. She ain't yellin anymore. Her voice has a quiet edge to. A promise of violence, but nuthin doin yet.
So Hideo.
Answer the lady's question, won'tcha?
Round 3! Ready? No.|Remy|Motive Reaction|Closed for Hideo.
Had she not heard him? Was he too quiet? He’d tried to speak up but he was so nervous that it’s really no surprise his voice didn’t break through the emotions she’s clearly dealing with.
Oh god what does he do? What can he do? It’s getting worse, sh-she’s bleeding…! Should he try and stop her? Even Hideo can tell that trying to grab her or something would be a terrible idea though, he doesn’t want to make her any more upset than she already is- if that’s even possible.
And now she’s glaring at him.
“A-ah, I, um, I mean…” Hideo struggles for words like the dweeb he is, “I-I’m sorry! I j-just… y-you’re, um, bleeding…” Yes, nice observational skills there.
Remy looks at her knuckles (slightly bloody), then touches her knee (quite damaged) and holds her fingers to inspect the blood. Haven’t swung yourself against the unbreakable in awhile, huh Remy? You really ain’t use to things not breakin when you want ‘em too.
"Hey good job fuckface, you ain’t blind. Good job. I got an idea. Stop apologizin an actin like a fuckin wuss and get the fuck outta here afore I break your stupid face for pissin me off? Eh? Sound like fun? Good. Get fuckin lost."
Remy is well a picture of wrath, trying to tower over Hideo, stare him down. After all, ain’t nobody allowed to see you like this. Certainly not this fuckin spineless asshole.
"So you gonna lissen to me? Or keep starin an pissin me off?"
Round 3! Ready? No.|Remy|Motive Reaction|Closed for Hideo.
Honestly Hideo is confused by this motive, and he doesn’t seem to be the only one. Would medication even really work in here anyway? And how could Monodore convince them that their real items would be destroyed if he couldn’t even confirm whether or not the ‘dead’ kids were fine in the real world or not? He’d said multiple times he didn’t know what was going on there, so it was a pretty obvious contradiction even to someone as dense as Hideo.
Still, he tentatively steps into the room to see if he can find which item is supposedly his. It’s more out of curiosity than anything- there’s nothing that could possibly be worth another person’s life. Wandering through the piles and stacks, it isn’t long before he’s struck by a lightning bolt of recognition. That… why would they take that…?
The idea of losing it forever- even if it’s seriously unlikely that would really happen- is painful. But it’s not worth hurting someone over. Nothing is worth hurting someone. Hideo’s eyes fill with tears and he places his hand against the invisible wall for a moment, half hoping that there’d be some way to reach it… but no. He’s being foolish anyway, no one else would even think something like that was important. Hideo sighs and turns to go… and as he’s leaving comes across Remy beating on her own invisible wall.
“U-um, Remington-san?” Hideo warily keeps a respectful distance, though the concern in his tone and expression is even more evident than the fear. That can’t be good, to hit something that hard over and over, the walls had seemed pretty unyielding and Remy was strong. If she keeps going like that she might hurt her hands, right? “I-it’s not real, I mean, th-this is a g-game and he’s… he’s probably lying about being able to get to it in real life, right? I-it’ll be okay, p-please don’t hurt yourself…”
Hideo seriously this is not a good idea.
Can you hear him, Remy? Or is he a buzzing in your ears? All you can hear is the sound of fist meeting wall, endlessly pounding again and again.
All you can feel is the ache of your bones, in your flesh. Desperation and desire and power.
"[WHY]"
Her shoulder slams into the wall.
"[WON'T]"
A kick and a punch together, enough to break bricks
"[YOU]"
A knee, leaving blood on invisible force
"[BREAK]"
Her head slams into the wall, and she glowers and glares in the direction of her desired thing. Those predatory eyes swing towards Hideo.
"...the fuck are you looking at"
Three Broomsticks Bonding Time? | Aiko & Remy
Aiko jumped back a bit as the girl swung her arms about, good thing she was cautious or she might have a black eye right now. Aiko mentally noted always be careful if you have to wake up Remy.
Aiko became confused as Remy started speaking some foreign language. It vaguely resembled English but was a different type than what she was used to with her boyfriend. She could make out “girl,” “nap,” and “Good lawd woman” (What was a lawd?) but not much else. However, by her mannerisms and unhappy tone of voice Aiko knew Remy wasn’t happy.
She bowed to the girl and tried to speak in Remy’s native tongue since she figured she might still be too drowsy to understand Japanese right now, and Aiko did know the basics of English.
“[Ah! Sowry, Remy-san! Me didn’t mean to… wake you like that.]” She paused for a second trying to come up with the right thing to say. “[Didn’t want hurt back you.]” Aiko was still rusty at speaking proper English grammar but hopefully she was getting the message across?
"[Thefuck?]"
Remy streches and lets herself rear up to her full size as she sits in front of empty shot glasses and a bottle of firewhiskey. She just moves her mouth slightly, waking up. Ready to speak japanese again
"The hell you say girl? Yer english is worse than my japenese... so talk again, got me?"
Remy leans down again, one hand on her cheek, staring at Aiko. Waiting for anything resembling a good reason for waking up the SHSL Street Fighter.
