Inves One ✩ Throw Up The X ✩ Blackfin/Yuuna
shslluchador:
It was about the point that Bunji dashed off without offering a defense or making an effort to disturb evidence that he realized he maaaay have been a little hasty. Sue him! He panicked! He’d never seen a dead body in his life, let alone someone he’d been acquainted with! To think that means someone else he knew was responsible for killing him…
Him and his mouth. He didn’t really think Bunji had done anything, he was just off guard. Bunji probably was, too, and him freaking out and throwing around accusations likely didn’t do anything to help.
Bunji was soon lost in the crowd. Blackfin was sort of tempted to stay and try to figure out what happened, considering the consequences but… Well, this area seemed under control. Besides, he didn’t think he’d be any use right now without Bunji around.
The wrestler decides to try to follow where he’d seen Bunji leaving. He thinks to check the outside of the Stop n’ Shop for clues, but notices through the glass that his manager is already inside. It’s not much more than a cursory glance before he heads in, the store’s bell chiming behind him.
At the front of the store was Bunji, clearly distraught and out of breath. On the other, Yuuna, collapsed on the floor before them. Oh jeez. He knew he’d seen her around talking to Tatsuya, too, and she seemed to be taking the news especially hard.
“Brm, uh, g’d- hey,” he stammered at both, but neither of them at the same time. He didn’t know what he was wanting to say besides making his entrance known. Blackfin was the worst at handling emotionally sensitive situations, and that on top of Tatsuya’s death shaking him, too.
“Um…” he muttered in an uncharacteristically quiet voice. “Can I do something to help?”
He didn’t think anyone else was in here, much less someone who--
“{For the love of CHRIST!!}” he shouts, hands curling into fists. “I didn’t fucking kill him, you troglodyte! Maybe a guilty conscience always shows itself, hm? How about we fucking find out!” He barrels forward down the aisle toward the voice he’d heard... only to find a girl crumpled on the floor, sobbing her eyes out and looking infinitely more terrified than he’d expected.
Okay. Uh. So maybe he’d been a bit rash, and his temper hadn’t helped things. So much for reigning things in like Blackfin had all but begged him to do. And speaking of the big guy...
The chime nearly causes him to jump out of his skin, and he takes several steps back from the girl (Yuuna? The name seemed familar in regard to her at least) as he turns around to see Blackfin looking sheepish and not the Blackfin he currently knew.
“I don’t--[shit]--I--ugh.” He takes a moment to run his hands back though his hair in an attempt to calm himself at least a little. What it REALLY needed was a good brushing but that wasn’t really an option r-- okay so there’s probably a hairbrush in here somewhere but taking one, brushing his hair with it, and leaving it was a dick move under regular circumstances, much less... these. So his fingers will have to do for now.
He takes a few steps toward her, hands held out from him to indicate harmlessness. “I’m not going to f--to kill you, alright? I... apologize for my behavior, it was, ah, abhorrent. We’re all a bit shaken up, and besides, there was no reason to--never mind.” No need in blaming her. Had to be ~professional~ after all. Truth be told, he was still more than a little salty about both her and Blackfin’s hasty conclusions, but he could (and would) bring that up later. Now was definitely not the time.
Watching carefully for signs of distress--well, more signs of distress--he got down on one knee next to her, gold eyes now determined and calm rather than frantic and angry. “Neither of us are going to hurt you,” he reiterates, noting Blackfin’s large presence behind him. In that vein... “Blackfin, look around the store a bit, will you? If there’s something here, we’re going to fucking find it.”
