It was good to be back to her ‘old’ self. Well, for the most part, anyway. There was still the pain, deep in her heart of losing so many of her friends. She was still hurt by some of the hurtful and disgusting things that Ryuunosuke said. Far as she was concerned though? He was the only ‘enemy’ left here that they had to worry about. The boy could hurt others; his intent was apparent (Well, at least, it was in her eyes!).
When she saw Yuu though, it was obvious that all the events leading up to this point had taken an enormous toll on him. Muwata felt a bit bad, honestly, for Yuu even took good care of her when it mattered most. Both he and Iwao were there for her when she felt lacking in her strength to go on: But at some point, she reassured them both that she needed some time to recover on her lonesome for a bit.
It seemed to have done her some good, despite the pain in her wrist, which she still endured. But the hissing ceased, only to be replaced with a ruthless sort of determination and a will-not-take-any-of-your-crap sort of attitude. This was war, she remembered. Just because some of their friends died did not mean that they could stray from the main objective. Vera, Nanashi, Rue….Sachi and the others would not allow for such disrespect, after all. But for now, Yuu seemed finished getting whatever he needed. Time to move forward.
“While I cannot promise you comforting sleep, perhaps a calming cup of caffinated coffee or tea would help until this stupid motive is over with, hmm? For now, we have important work to do: Don’t forget we need to focus on leaving this disgusting cave and piecing any clues we have together.”
She nodded, only to look away for a moment. What good clues did she even have in the first place. Would they have to go into the labyrinth and search once more? Might be their only choice, despite the lack of sleep they would have….or were in the middle of dealing with.
“I admit to becoming…unfocused, up until this point. I thought that you and Vera were…hiding much more from me. That you guys didn’t trust or like me anymore. Of course, I’m sure I didn’t seem like I was trustful or forthcoming with you either. Not after that trial… But I don’t mean to bring up the bad stuff.”
By this point, Muwata had led them to the kitchen, where she began to look for whole bean bags of coffee. Upon finding the stuff, she plugged in a nearby grinder and went to town. Next thing you knew, she was grabbing the essentials to start up the coffee pot. Time to make Muwata’s all time favourite black coffee. Her cousin warned her against it, as it could ‘stunt her growth’ or something, but of course, she never listened. The girl drank the stuff black since she was a child. Warnings could be damned!
“How do you take your coffee? Or is it tea you prefer? Pick your weapon wisely, young soldier. We have a long few days ahead.”
