Hi there! Here is a post that I'll pin to my profile so y'all can get an idea of who I am!
You probably know me as lanearoo on Discord and/or AO3, but I started my tumblr account twelve million years ago, before I had a desire for consistency. And I do really like being shunstanpike because it comes from a fond memory of a fun time with friends.
I'm currently (and for the foreseeable future) interested exclusively in wolfstar (other hobbies? what other hobbies?) but I've also been known to obsess over Our Flag Means Death, BTS, and the upcoming game Paralives. I'm always happy to chat about any of the above.
I like to write comedy with heart and action-packed stories with bonkers premises, but I'm also really really proud of my more emotional, angsty stories.
I love the mutual support of this community - I've read so much incredible work from you all and have learned a lot about being a better writer and a better person.
It should go without saying, but jkr is the scum of the earth. I do not support her horrible views and actions, nor do I support her work financially.
One of my favorite causes, if you're in the mood to see some good in the world, is GirlForward, an organization that supports girls who are refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers, through mentoring, tutoring, and safe spaces.

Here's what to expect:
They'd seen each other twice since that fateful morning when Sirius arrived unexpectedly at Remus's door via the Spooner app, but this would be their first time hanging out outside of Remus's flat, doing something other than cuddling, sleeping, or eating. It was their first real date and Remus was extremely nervous. Nervous, but excited. He was trying not to get his hopes too high about where it might lead, but, well… he did have hopes.

Yeah I've been listening to so much Jukebox the Ghost lately I had a dream that I met them on the subway.
Something a little different for WIP Wednesday! Below is a little moodboard / teaser for The Dog Beneath the Skin.
The last one is what I imagine Sirius's pockets are filled with, random shit he's collected along his roadside travels.
“So uh—you wanna tell me why you don’t drink liquor?” Sirius raises a brow when he says it, taking a pull from his beer and Remus takes a long breath. He licks his lips, leaning back in the chair and spreading out his long legs, the toe of his boot hitting Sirius’s before he pulls it away.
Remus rests the bottle on his thigh, he’s holding the stem of it, pinching it between his fingers and for a brief second Sirius thinks Remus didn’t hear him before he clears his throat.
“My daddy, he—he used to say that I had a hard dog in me, you know like a dog with too much wolf still in it… a wild dog who wasn’t meant for this tame world and when I drink, that beast tends to come out.”
Sirius snorts, “I think every man’s got a little dog in ‘em but men like us, we harness it. Don’t you think you harness that wildness?”
“What I do doesn’t take anything wild, just plain fricking stupid.”
“What’d you just say?”
“Stupid?”
“No before that.”
“Fricking?”
“Why don’t you say fucking like an adult.” Sirius doesn’t pose this as a question, instead he narrows his eyes, leans on the table with his elbows and gets as close as he can. “You don’t swear, do you?”
Remus shakes his head, “Nah, I wanna limit my transgressions while on this Earth.”
Almost 50% through the first draft of this one! It's also kind of fun to see the previous snippets I've posted and how they've changed and morphed as I've edited / rewritten them.

June was straight up wacko!! But filled with good things.
Played Harry Potter Clue and had a great time / my favorite page from Pedro & Me / celebrated my bday here and there / added a beautiful new dyingfish standee to my collection of loved ones courtesy of my husb / saw JELLICLE BALL!!!!! / the AC didn't work for most of the month and as I was newly unemployed, I was in charge of wrangling the repair men (it works now, phew!) / a bound book I saw at a library museum that made me think of @midnighttomoscow because of its very cool intentional design! I was going to send it to you directly but I never did so here you go / description of said bind / JP Morgan's Study and a very mysterious box that was not described anywhere but seen in various photos; it probably contains the soul of the devil. I waited a long time to get this shot with no one in it / strawberry rhubarb pie!!!!! (rhubarb!)
