Just an easy trick I learned a few years ago that I thought Iād share. May not work 100% all the time, but works well for simple hand/arm placement.
Okay so I followed this video about foreshortening andā¦

Clothing Tutorials,Tips and Guides
In order to make interesting designs of clothing, look around the web about outfit design, keep your mind with fresh ideas so then you can draw nice outfits on your characters.
Remember to keep in mind color theory when designing an outfit too, keep it balanced unless you are aiming for a sparkledog, then go nuts with the colors.
Drawing Clothing: Portraying Thickness of Fabric
Something I see neglected a lot in drawing tutorials in regards to drawing clothing is the thickness of the material, and I think this is a very important element of fabric that needs to be considered!Ā
It basically breaks down to that thin fabric has more folds and creases and thicker fabric has less, due to the very nature of the material itself. A thick wool coat is less likely to bend and fold as compared to a polyester Windbreaker.Ā
Here are some examples:Ā
The sweater on the left is a wool knit (presumably), and the shirt on the right is silk. Although the models are standing fairly different, thereās no doubt that if the one wearing the sweater were to stand up, their sweater would not fold as excessively as the silk shirt.Ā
Hereās a better example, of the same style of clothing:Ā
Both of these figures are wearing a hoodie and pajama pants, of roughly the same cut and style. But the difference is that the figure on the leftās fabric is likely made of felt or very thick cotton. See how few folds there are, how rigid it is? It almost looks fluffy. The fabric is thick, therefore the hood sits up on its own. Fabric that behaves like this include wool, thick cotton, canvas, flannel burlap, denim, thick acrylic, angora, corduroy, velvet, etc.Ā
The figure on the right is probably wearing the same size of hoodie and pants as the figure on the left, but the difference is that the fabric is probably a poly-blend, thin cotton, or something similar. It sags, it droops, and it clings to the body where it lays, and hangs underneath. Since the fabric is so thin, the hood has no support. Therefore it lays almost flat on the figureās shoulders. If this is exaggerated, the fabric will even start to appear wet and heavy. Fabric that behaves like this includes silk, polyester, thin cotton, crushed velvet, oxford, nylon, thin acrylic, satin, cashmere, etc.
This simple concept can change the feel of a concept or character very quickly! Keep them in mind and keep drawing!Ā

TIME MANAGEMENT STUFF / TERM 7Ā
Iāve got a lot of questions about this during my Art Center time, so I drew it ! This system came from when I had to manage my time during art high school (8am-5pm everyday) with 2 waitress jobs. Everybody has different working method, but I will be more than happy if anyone gets new idea from it !Ā
So, if you put your URL in here, you can listen to all the music youāve ever blogged.
Oh my sweet baby Jesus.
The happiness I feel right now is amazing
YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW LONG IVE BEEN LOOKING AND WAITING FOR THIS GODDAMN POST TO COME BACK AND THIS TIME IM FUCKING REFERENCING ITĀ
What my life has turned into: Watching an 11-hour youtube video of a live version of the Neko Atsume app while studying. Here is the link for all yall cat lovers~ Ā
@americans who are young: 20% is the correct amount to tip your server or delivery person
i say this (and repeat it a lot. probably too much. sorry.) because i know a lot of younger people who are just starting to go places on their own do not know how much they should tip, and i know this because i have heard this dilemma come up sometimes w/ tables of teens iāve waited on, cause they just donāt know.Ā
iām here 4 u teens of america: itās 20%, unless ur waiter is an asshole (like not bad day asshole but Premium Asshole Asshole) or creepy, in which case it is 15%, dropping appropriately to 10% as their Assholery or Creepiness climbs.
just multiply what your bill is by two and drop the second digit. for example: i spend 15 bux, 15x2 = 30, drop the second digit and the appropriate 20% tip is 3 bux. Ā or u spent 48 bux, thats like 96, thatās p close to 100 so just tip 10 bux to be Cool.Ā
if you stay at the table for a long time, also compensate accordingly ā servers usually have a limited number of tables that they are given responsibility for (so these five or six tables in the corner are my section, anyone who sits there is my table to take care of) and if you camp out for a long time that can cut into yr servers ability to Make doll4rs and/or Leave Work.
if you know that youāre gonna be catching up w/ an old friend for two hours, you can, honestly, just goĀ āhey iām planning on chatting w/ my friend for a while, but I know weāre taking up this table, and Iām going to tip extra for your timeā and thatāll work out for everyone in the long run. people like to know youāre trying to be respectful of their time + effort. everyone is nice, everyone has a nice good time.Ā
okay this is seriously really good info. like i didnāt know about the multiplying by two and dropping the second digit thing and iām in my late 20ā²s. itās going to make tipping a hell of a lot easier!!!
