Hi, I have modded a number of zines, including the the Tendershipping zine a few years back and I have some questions I was hoping you could clarify:

who are the mods? Who is taking on which responsibilities?

It doesn't seem like it's been decided whether this project will be physical or digital. There are different things to consider for both styles of zine, including: who is handling the money and shipping, if it's physical? do you have manufacturers already picked for the financial quotes you posted at the bottom, and if not, where are those numbers coming from?

It's advisable to pick whether your zine is going to be physical or digital BEFORE opening up applications because then you know how many contributors you can bring on board with the space you need for each one considered. Because...

...it's worth noting that as a writer, 7500 words is quite a bit for a word limit for a zine. That ranges from 10-20 pages for one fic depending on the formatting. If you're going physical, that's something to consider, because it means you will need to either accept less writers or trim the word count down in order to best accommodate production. Especially if your estimation of 40 pages in the doc is going to hold true, that's going to be like, 3 fics maximum, and only those 3 fics.

I don't have the ability to help with a zine at the moment but if you'd like some advice, don't hesitate to reach out.

Myself and @bambamnesiac are the mods. I will be handling the social media and formatting the zine and he will be handling the discord moderation. We have moderated about 17 digital zines together.

We are offering a physical option for contributors who are interested and can pay for it. I would be handling the money for preorders but each person would be responsible for the cost of the shipping to their homes. I have picked out the manufacturers, they are printingcenterusa for the zine itself and Vograce for the hypothetical merchandise. The merchandise would only exist if there was enough interest (at least 10 people).

It's true that 7500 is a lot of words for a zine, I am not personally a frequent writer so I appreciate the insight. I will lower the word count to about 1500 - 2000 words. In the previous zines I have run I was lucky to get two writers at a time so I had assumed the artists would out number the writers but I believe I underestimated the amount of interested writers. We want to create an enjoyable community event for people to take part in! I have experience with zine creation and moderating groups and my partner does as well as the having been the treasurer for a local club we were in. We will make everything as transparent as possible at every step, we understand that there have been a LOT of scams and zines that have failed due to inexperience but I am confident that Bambam and I can handle it.

Everyone slotted in their places… well except Miho. Unfortunately, (much like the show) I had to just cram her in wherever she fit. I wish there was an interchangeable slot on the base for her. That would make the most sense but yeah, had to include her.

I’ll get better pictures when I put it on the shelf, but I’m just so excited I had to share as soon as it came out of the package.

JONOUCHI IS EVERYWHERE!!!

i used to watch the original yugioh so much when i was 9-13, and i decided to rewatch it and it's so peak!! it's so good and bad at the same time i luv it...

my favorite part was animating/editing the characters into the show's backgrounds and coming up with a correlation to a part in the anime for every scene with the characters in the background! it only goes up to battle city since that's where i've rewatched up to so far

also imma make a post for context on the first battle city scene later, we all know weevil is cryin cuz he lost "his queen" but i think rex deserved at LEAST his rarest card back because espa roba literally cheated imma square up with mokuba for this blunder
