Β Β Β Β When he gets a phone call from an unknown number, heβs not sure what to do. Of course, the thought that it may be a fan or reporter who got his number somehow definitely occurs to him, but for some reason, it doesnβt feel like that. Sighing, he decides on answering it, putting the phone to his ear. He doesnβt even get a chance to say hello, for the caller is speaking before he knows it. Dad??
Β Β Β Β Once the other person on the line finally finishes speaking, he clears his throat. β I believe you have the wrong number. Iβm not your father.Β β
Β Β βAh!β Yuki jumped, almost dropping his phone.Β βI-Iβm so sorry! I must have dialed the wrong number o-or hit a different button or I d-donβt really know but I didnβt mean to call you or bother you I just need to know how to fix a stove so it doesnβt blow up in my face.β God this was awkward.Β βYou donβt-- happen to.. know how to? Iβm kind of desperate. I have a lot of stew to cook.β An awkward laugh. Kill him.
Β Β β ; THE TUMBLE? Yeahβ¦ totally not according to plan. Ending up on the couch? Again.. not a part of the plan. Though at least it was a good save and at least a lot better than landing on the floor. Making sure she wasnβt pressing her hands onto Yukiβs stomach or chest, Jun, held her herself up with hands resting at either side of the young manβs face. It hadnβt entirely sunken into her just what kind of position they were in just yet. Her main concern was whether or not Yuki was okay.
Β Β βYukkin, are you all right? I hope ya didnβt hurt yourself.β
Β Β βO-Ow...β Yuki held the back of his head, which he had smacked on the arm of his couch on the way down.Β βIβm fine..β His eyes began to water and he didnβt even notice the position they were in. Was that a bump already forming?
Β Β β ;Β βWHAT DβYA mean? It totally isnβt better that way!β With a loud huff the blonde made her way toward the flustered male, extending her arms to take hold at the bottom of his shirt in an attempt to yank it off. Itβs not like thereβs anything bad going on. Plus it was a good way to cool down. Blushing so much was only bound to make Yuki warmer. To Jun this line of thinking made perfect logic.Β βCome onβ¦ Please, Yukkin? At least just your shirt. Iβm sure youβre hot.β
Β Β And just like that she was next to him, Yuki tried his best not to look at her, he honestly did buy damn it was hard!Β
Β Β βN-No Jun stop it!β He turned even more red, if that was possible, as he tried to counter her movements by shoving his shirt down. He took a big step back, catching on something that was on the floor which sent him tumbling down to the couch behind him.
Β Β β ;Β βWELLβ¦ SUIT yourself.β With a small pout she didnβt hesitate to pull off her main shirt revealing a tight tank top underneath. At least this girl wore layers thatβs for certain.Β βI really wanted to see ya since I didnβt get to see when we went to the beach.β
Β Β Yuki instantly looked away, completely bright red. Sure, heβd seen Jun in her bikini; but that was before he had come to terms with his.. feelings. His face was completely bright red as he felt himself sneak a glance. Oh god... he was some sort of pervert, wasnβt he? BUT IT WASNβT HIS FAULT! ANYONE WOULD REACT THE SAME!!Β
Β Β βI-Itβs-β His voice cracked so he started over.Β βItβs p-probably better that way.β
Β βE-Everyoneβs stripping?β Oh god what is wrong with the world.Β βI-I think Iβm fine.β He took a big step away, holding down his shirt. Someone was self conscious about their body (and like everything else about himself).Β
Β Β Yuki nervously held the phone up to his ear as he stared down at the stove. He heard someone pick up on the other line and didnβt even give them a chance to say anything before he started talking.Β
Β Β βHey so I tried turning off the gas like you said, but it still feels warm, shouldnβt it be cooled down by now? I pulled out the spare burners so I can keep cooking but I donβt want the whole stove to explode in my face. Also, unrelated note, last week we had a soup and stew but today your note said to just stick with the potato, zucchini, tomato soup. I just want to make sure thatβs right so we donβt have a freak out later.β Pause.Β βDad?β
kae awkwardly stares at the menu. everything sounds so good but she doesnβt know what to get.Β βhello..!β she greets the male at the counter.Β βumm. i-iβm not sure yet. do you have any recommendations?β
Β Β βUm... well our best selling item is the.. strawberry short cake..β Heβd know after having to make almost double as many as everything else.Β βI c-can get you a sweet tea to go with it..β
Β Β β ; SHE WASNβT one to really worry too much as Junβs mind would often be fixated on other things. This time? The young makeup artist was doing her best to remember the directions to the meet-up point her and Yuki had planned out. Sure, it would have been pretty easy if she could refer to her phone, but this was one of those days Jun had forgotten to charge her phone fully and thus it sat in her pocket, dead as a door-nail. Perhaps that was why she hadnβt realized she was running a little bit late on her first date.
Β Β βSoβ¦ it wasβ¦ leftβ¦ and then anotherβ¦. leftβ¦? I thinkβ¦?β
Β Β Mumbling to herself as she continued on her way Jun wandered quite aimlessly until she could spot the familiar appearance of the young man she was meeting up with. There was no doubt about it. That was definitely Yuki standing there. Hmβ¦? Since when did he look a bit different? Did he get a haircut? Noβ¦ that looked the same length or maybe a wee bit longer. Was it his clothes? Wellβ¦ of course heβd be wearing different clothes, but that was a stretch. Maybe it was because she was hungryβ¦ Yeahβ¦ it had to be that. Her hunger was making Yuki look different. Definitely that and totally not the butterflies that were forming on her stomach nor the fact her face lit up the closer she got to him. Totally the hunger.
Β Β Thatβs when he heard Junβs voice and instantly perked up.Β βJ-Jun! No I.. just got here.β Lies. Heβd been there for like twenty minutes. He tried too not shock himself by taking too much in at once but wow... she looked extremely cute. He could slowly feel his heart start to beat faster, throat constricting as his mouth went completely dry. How he was going to make it the whole evening without doing something stupid or embarrassing himself, Yuki honestly didnβt know.
Β Β Should he say something? Shit probably.Β βYou look... really cute, Jun.β He blushed, looking away from her because wow that was embarrassing to say to her face. How had he been so calm around her the other night when he confessed?Β
Β Β A lot of people had a curse of constantly being late to things. Yuki didnβt have that problem, instead he always seemed to be early... And it was that being early that always gave him enough time to stress about what he was doing.
Β Β βDo I smell okay? Is this outfit alright? Am I even in the right place? What time were we supposed to meet again? What if she texted me to change plans but my phone is being weird and not receiving texts? Oh god I should restart it just to make sure!β
Β Β He fidgeted, restarting the phone quickly just in case. Today, Yuki had a date. And not just any date, a date with someone he cared about.. a lot. He was determined to have the night go by without a hitch. The restaurant was fun, it wasnβt too cold outside, he had enough money to pay for everything (hopefully). Literally nothing to stress about at all. Right? ..r-right..
@fujoshiims, @protectivekaoru, @heartlessvoice, and @earlofice started following you
Β Β Wow that was a big rush of people.Β βW-Welcome.β Yuki awkwardly called from the counter. Why of all days did he have to work up front today? All Yuki wanted was to be in the back and away from.. people.Β
Hello all, revived UtaPri OC here. I canβt make a promo image because I donβt have skills or time but I just wanted to make a post sayingΒ βhi Iβm hereβ:

Hereβs a thread from skype that Ami and I want here:
Bold: @androgynouspalette
Normal: Me
Yuki was extremely excited to finally have a day off, it had seemed like forever since he was allowed to stay home and do absolutely nothing. Because of that, he was going to spend the day doing something he loved: cooking. It started off with a very fancy breakfast consisting of poached egg whites, grilled toast, and home made jam, for lunch he made chicken cordon bleu with a kale tossed salad, and was now baking a beautiful white cake between lunch and dinner. Living alone meant he would easily have leftovers to last him till next week and although he had more than enough money to eat out whenever he wanted, something about a meal you make yourself just made it all the more worth eating. His cake had come out of the oven and he was mixing some icing together as it cooled. Should he put strawberries on it... hmm.... strawberries might be nice..
The coat. It was all the coat's fault! That was what Jun had been telling her this entire time. Every time she'd look at it the memory of that kiss came flooding back to her causing her face to grow reddened each time. She'd tried calling her family to see if they could help but sadly her parents simply didn't understand her embarrassed ramblings. If only Yuu was home, he'd know what to do! Darn her brother and his love for travelling.
Regardless Jun had a new plan of action: get rid of Yuki's coat by giving it to him and hope this would get rid of this flustered feeling. It was a fool proof plan! All she had to do was go to his house and give it to him. Easy as that! No chance of failure whatsoever.
Arriving at the young man's house she could feel her heart begin to race wildly. Maybe the coat's powers increased when near its master like in one of the videogames she played. It had to be it! Videogames weren't far from real life after all! Biting her lip she soon began to press the doorbell. Once! Oh no this wait was too long better press it again. Twice! Okay did she really press it? Better be safe! Soon began a barrage of doorbell rings in hopes the poor boy inside would hear her.
Yuki had filled a bag with icing and was just about to start with his cake's decorating when he heard the doorbell ring. Strange... he hadn't been expecting anyone. It was probably just a door-to-door salesperson, maybe they'd go away if he ignored it.. He lifted his piping bag up to the cake again, only to be interrupted by the doorbell for a second time. The person was pretty persistent, no matter, just pretend you aren't home.. it'll work.. He had a tiny dab of icing skilfully placed on the cake before the nonstop ringing shocked him, causing him to smudge what would soon be a rose. With a scowl and his ruined decorating job, Yuki spun around to answer the door. He crossed the apartment and pulled it open, a slightly irritated expression on his face, before he was face to face with a very attractive blonde.
"J-Jun!" Yuki exclaimed as simultaneously he stood up completely straight, his entire body clenching, causing his hands to squeeze against the tube of icing and send it squirting over his shoulder.
If anything, Jun didn't expect the door to be opened in such an abrupt way nor did she expect her heart to beat even louder. As Yuki had stood up straight and squirted the tube of icing, the blonde's train of thought halted entirely. It had been quite a while since she'd last seen Yuki's face Jun couldn't help but stare wide-eyed. There was something about his face that made her want to stare at it all day long. That adorable face of his with his equally adorable features and his soft, soft lips...
OH NO! The coat's powers were growing stronger! It just had to be!
Snapping out of this track of thought she soon shoved the coat toward her younger friend. She needed to get this out of the way soon so the powers could stop taking her over. "C--Coat! Your coat! I'm givin' it back to you! I've had it since the Christmas party and it keeps makin' me--" Cue her biting her own tongue. "Ow!"
Yuki hadn't seen his crush since Christmas. Not since their... kiss. However, he'd thought about it (more importantly her) almost every second since then, not having the courage to bring it up (much less even talk to her). He blinked a few times, almost feeling as though he'd forgotten how beautiful she was. He was snapped out of his daze to look down at the coat in her hands. Right... he had lent it to her the night of the party. "Yeah than- JUN!" Instantly he lunged forwards, one hand cupping her cheek to soothe it before his hand shot back, face bright red. "A-Are you okay?" He asked, shocked by his instinctive reaction. No touching. Touching makes it worse. Touching makes Β you think of things.
Biting her own tongue was one thing but having Yuki's hand cup her cheek was another. As soon as she'd felt his hand on her cheek her face burned a bright red and she took a step back and covered her mouth shortly after, nearly slapping herself in the face in the process. "Ow..." Sliding her hands down to only cover her mouth Jun attempted to look anywhere... anywhere at all but ended up on his face. Oh God. His face was so nice. Why did he have to have such a perfectly adorable face? Hurry! Before anything else she should run away so the coat's powers would stop working on her! "I--I'm fine. I just bit my tongue. I'm fine! I should actually be go--"
Groooooowl
Damn. Betrayed by her own stomach.
Jun jumped back and the look on her face was just so cute! Obviously it was because she was uncomfortable with the situation, with Yuki kissing her on Christmas like that. To be honest, he wasn't even sure that she'd want to stay friends. He wouldn't blame her though... it seemed that happened every time he started to have feelings for someone.
His pity party was interrupted with the familiarly loud sound of Jun's stomach. He glanced over at her (still trying to ignore her cute face) before looking back at his apartment. "Um.... if you're hungry I-.." He glanced to the side to avoid eye contact. "I have some... leftovers."
"I can really have some?!" It was a response without much thought. Jun had jumped toward her younger friend, taking his hands into her own with her eyes sparkling and a wide smile on her face. It had only taken a short amount of time before she'd realized what she did and let go of his hand and scratched the back of her head. "I--I mean I would like that... If ya don't mind, Yukkin."
Why did she still feel like this? Jun was almost thinking this wasn't about the coat, but that was silly. In fact perhaps she shouldn't be thinking considering her hunger was quite strong. Yeah. Thinking of anything wouldn't end well if she was working on an empty stomach. Anyways, she did love Yuki's food. It wouldn't hurt to stay here and eat something.
"Yeah um- c-come on in.." He awkwardly held the door open for her, trying to act as natural as possible. Jun was stuttering over her words which clearly meant she was uncomfortable which was ALL HIS FAULT AND SHE PROBABLY HATED HIM WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE ALL HE COULD THINK ABOUT WAS PUSHING HER AGAINST THE DOOR FRAME AND KISSING THE LIVIING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF HER UGH!!! Yuki calmed himself down with a quick breath. Jun would get something to eat, tell him she never wanted to see him again, and he's just be heartbroken for the rest of his life. No big deal.
He stepped back into his small apartment behind her. "I have some chicken, salad, and eggs in the fridge." He told her, surprisingly not tripping over his own words. "Um... I'll just go warm them up." He made his was to the kitchen as quickly as physically possible. This was going to be so awkward and hard to get through.
Entering the boy's home the girl felt her heart pounding louder and louder in her chest. She had been here before, but to be in here now after the whole incident at the party it made it so much different. This was the place Yuki lived and slept in and brushed his teeth in and got dressed in and cooked in and showered in and--wait. Why did she think about Yuki showering of all things?! Clearly her hunger was doing weird things to her. Definitely. So biting her bottom lip the girl made her way to the table to sit, glancing downward at her lap and moving a hand to fix her hair. Wait--now why was she so self conscious about her appearance? It was just Yuki. He'd seen her in so many different ways so why was she worried about how she looked now? This was all so weird.
"Thank you for havin' me." She spoke loud enough to make sure he heard her. "'m sorry for imposin' and stuff. I just had your coat for so long and you probably needed it and-- and stuff."
"No it's- it's no problem." Yuki told her as he got out the leftovers and put some on a plate. "I'm... sorry all I have to offer is old stuff, I was kind of making a cake but..." He glanced over at his un-iced creation. "..yeah." And now he'd have to make more icing too. Clearing his throat, the boy placed Jun's plate in the microwave. He awkwardly turned around to face her, resting his back against the counter. "So...... um-.. what's up?"
Watching as he put the plate in the microwave the blonde jumped slightly, waving her arms dismissively. "N--No it's no problem! Leftover food from you is way better than the instant food I have at my place!" And even if it was leftovers it was leftovers of Yuki's cooking. The very cooking that tasted better than anything she had ever had in her life. There was something about Yuki's cooking that was so special to her.
"Huh?" Snapping out of her train of thought the blonde looked up at Yuki, her face yet again feeling flustered and her chest pounding loudly. Soon her posture stiffened as she cleared her throat before going to fix her hair once more, trying to focus on anything instead of the boy who seemed to make her act differently than normal. "Oh-- uh... Not much. Uhm... hm... I--I tried callin' home to see if my bro was around but he wasn't because he likes travellin' and shit. It's hard to say when he'll be back but that's Yuu. A--and work's been.... good I guess. And-- is it just me or does it feel hot in here?" Perhaps it was her blushing face, but heaven only knew Jun wouldn't think that was the reason after all.
She looked so cute when she rambled like that.. but she was obviously extremely nervous, no doubt she thought he was going to jump her again or something. It became Yuki's mission to make her feel as comfortable as possible, he couldn't let Jun (even if she hated him) feel strange in his home. "Oh I.. didn't really notice it, but I can open a window." He slowly made his way across the kitchen and to the table Jun was sitting at. Unfortunately the only window in the room had the table sitting snug against it. He leaned over the rickety thing and pulled the window open, trying not to get too close to his crush. With a grunt he managed to push it up and it instantly clicked into place.
Glancing over his shoulder as he pulled away, Yuki made the mistake of making eye contact with the girl next to him. He sprung back to the other side of the kitchen, taking his previous place against the counter, face bright red and heart pounding. An awkward silence passed between them but it was thankfully broken by the sound of the microwave beeping. Yuki spun around to grab her food out of it, along with a fork, and awkwardly walked back across the room to place it on the table in front of her. "I-... I hope it still tastes good.."
Having him approach her to open the window did nothing to calm her nerves. In fact her heart began to pound even louder in her chest and despite the open window she only continued to feel warm. Maybe she was coming down with something? But she didn't feel sick. Maybe she was just really hot today? It was possible. Her mother used to get these kinds of things a lot so maybe she was getting it too. You could get hot flashes at her age... right? Maybe not...
As the food was placed in front of her the blonde timidly nodded her head in thanks, staring down at the plate and feeling her face grow warmer again. God. What was she supposed to do? Staring down at the plate she was about to begin eating until a brilliant--well at the moment brilliant--idea popped into her head. Slamming her hands down on the table she stood up and yelled with all her might without thinking anything at all. "Yukkin you should kiss me!"
Yuki watched as Jun stared at her plate for a while. Was she worried it was drugged or poisoned or something? Oh god she probably was! She must have seriously thought he was a creep because normally half the plate was gone before it even hit the table! He opened his mouth to say something along the lines of 'I promise it's safe!' but before the words could come out of his mouth he was instantly frozen.
Jun was staring at him with such an intensity as he had to repeat what she had said to him over and over again in his head before it made sense. He glanced left, nothing saving him there, right, he was all alone in this one. Yuki looked back at her, face completely red as his stomach exploded. Here was the girl beautiful, amazing, talented, unreal he had been crazy about over the past few months, in his kitchen, eating his food, bright red, and telling him to kiss her. Any normal guy would have pounced at the opportunity! So why was he still frozen!! All Yuki could do was stand there, wide eyed and leaning slightly away from her, gasping for air like a fish out of water with mumbles of "I--.. y-you... I don't- I'm--..." being the only coherent thing coming out! Hadn't he been waiting for this!?! DO SOMETHING!!
And here came Yuki fumbling and not doing anything. This idea was brilliant so why wasn't he doing anything? It seemed she had to take matters into her own hands. Was she thinking this through? No. No she wasn't. Otherwise she would realize how odd and out of place this sounded. So instead of thinking anything else she moved to place both hands on his shoulder and stared up at him, her face still red from how flustered she'd been. The kiss had been something she'd though about all this time so if she acted on it now maybe it'd help cure her from these odd feelings she was having. It was her only idea and she wanted to be happy-go-lucky with Yuki once more. This was the only way! So without further ado she stretched upward as she pulled him toward her to give him a kiss. Not much else to think about here except for how she probably shouldn't have pulled him down so fast causing a slightly painful smack of their lips instead of a gentle one. Thus her hands moved to cover her mouth as a response to the shock of pain. "Goddamn that was uncool!"
Yuki was still trying to process everything that was happening when he felt hands on his shoulder and he was still trying to come to grasp with Jun's words when he was suddenly pulled forward and, most importantly, his mind was still a good 20 seconds in the past when there was a quick and painful impact against his lips. Jun almost instantly pulled away, before Yuki could even take a second to savor the moment. He glanced around the room again, every emotion he ever thought he could feel skyrocketing as he was still at a complete loss for words. Why had just happened? How had it just happened? This was nothing of what Yuki had expected out of his day. Was any of this even real? It couldn't have been! There's no way that Jun would have-... have-.. His eyes zeroed in on Jun.
"Jun-" He finally said, fumbling a bit before he could say the next few words. "I- I don't understand what's going on.." He mumbled, taking a huge step back as the word vomit started out of nowhere. "First we're friends- best friends-" He started slowly, "and it's great because you get me and we hang out all the time and you like my cooking and I've never been able to act normal around another person like I do with you," He began to speed up, "and then we went to the beach together and I saw you-- w-well.... in-- you know- and I couldn't stop thinking about you but it was fine because you're my friend, right? And then everything gets back to normal but the Christmas party! The Christmas party Jun! I kissed you and it- it was- it was so crazy and I didn't expect it at all but I'm such a coward and run away and then I don't see you for weeks, weeks Jun! I don't even hear from you! You could have moved to another continent for all I knew! But you knock on my door all of a sudden and I'm so ready for you to tell me you hate me and to never talk to you again because I violated you when you trusted me but you kiss me instead!?! Jun I seriously don't understand what's going on! And I just--... I'm- Jun--" His breathing became abnormally fast, probably because of all the excitement, so Yuki had no choice but to slump down in his chair. His elbows rested on the table, forehead in his hands as he took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. "Jun...." He sighed. "..I'm so..." The chef's voice cracked with the next sentence. " I'm so I love with you."
As the boy spoke to her, each word seemed to come rushing out. She slowly stood straight, hand still covering her mouth as each and every word played in her mind. Of all things to expect from what just happened right now, the amount of words wasn't one of them. Instead she simply stood in silence as Yuki continued to speak, and soon she watched him slump down in his chair as he uttered the last words out loud.
"I'm so In love with you."
It was as if the world stopped spinning for just this moment. The girl's eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly. Never before had she heard these exact words said to her. It was as if she'd been hit with a ton of bricks and reality soon crashing down upon her. With all the shock from the statement soon her vision blurred as tears seemed to begin pouring from her eyes. In fact, she hadn't noticed she was crying until much longer.
"Y... you... You love... me...?" The words left her lips before she slid down on the floor, collapsing on her knees as she stared downward for a few seconds, finally taking notice of the tears coming from her eyes, Jun began to wipe them, a faint laugh mixing in with her words. "I-- I don't know why I'm crying. Haha... Maybe it's because I'm realizin' something... All this time... All this time I couldn't stop thinkin' about the Christmas party..." hic. "I'd tried callin' home to see if my brother knew anythin' that could help me but... but he wasn't home at all. I was beginnin' to think it was some magic spell from your coat that was causin' it all since my heart would keep racin' and i'd get all flustered and-- and I didn't know what was goin' on... but... but now this kinda makes sense. Haha.... Why didnt' I notice this before? That I--- I--"
Before she could continue she cut off crying much louder. She had feelings for Yuki and ti seemed the realization finally hitting her made her emotions quite stronger coming out as nothing but tears. It was only after crying a bit more that she hiccuped in the midst of her sobs: "I think I love you too."
"Jun!" Yuki exclaimed as he saw her hit the floor. Instantly he was right at her side, rubbing her back because he had no idea what else to do. He didn't mean to make her cry! He just wanted to be honest! He listened intently through her explanation, taking a second to glance around the room and see if he had a tissue anywhere (he didn't). Jun began crying harder and that brought his eyes back to the girl. Continuing to rub her back in soothing circles, he stayed crouched down in front of her.
As Jun finished, Yuki took a moment to reflect; and then the strangest thing happened, he started to laugh. It began as a small smile, then a soft chuckle, before the giddy feeling spread down his body and into his chest where it came bursting forth, probably laughing more than he had in his entire life. The boy had to take another moment to compose himself before he reached up a hand to cup Jun's chin, lifting up her gaze so they could meet eyes. He still felt bad for making her cry, but right now he was just too happy! Jun loved him too... he had never, not in a million years, expected her to return his feelings.
Lifting his other hand to cup her opposite cheek, he wiped his thumbs against them to wipe away her tears. Her makeup was terribly smudged and her hair was a mess, but Yuki honestly could say she'd never looked so beautiful. "We're both idiots." He told her, a small smile still on his face. With that, Yuki leaned forward to press a kiss on both of her cheeks, as though he was trying to apologize without words. He pulled away only enough so that their noses were almost rubbing against each other, eyes flicking down to her lips before looking back into her eyes. "Jun.." He whispered. "Can I kiss you?" For real this time.
Having Yuki next to her as she cried was such a nice feeling. He always seemed to know how to comfort her in just the right way. It was funny how after all of this the awkward feeling had left. Maybe it was because this emotion finally got out and off of her chest. Yeah... that definitely was it. How long had this been bottled up for? Heaven only knew. Maybe it was weeks or maybe even months. Maybe it was as long as Yuki had felt this way and maybe it was even longer. As much as she wouldn't admit it, she did have a hard time realizing things sometimes. And feelings like this were definitely one of those things.
"I guess we are." Laughing softly as he wiped away her tears the girl could not believe it all. They'd felt this way about each other and didn't think of doing anything for so long. And now here they were, faces close together and the entire world feeling just right. Perhaps this was all meant to be.
"You don't need to ask, y'know."
Yuki softly smiled again. "..just wanna make sure..." He mumbled, almost against her lips, before he pressed his to them. This kiss wasn't sporadic like the last one, and it wasn't rushed like the first. It wasn't full of doubt or worries or confusion, mixed feelings or misunderstandings. This kiss was slow, slow and soft, his lips moved against hers like he was trying to convey his feelings all over again, just to prove to her how real they were. This time, he let himself get lost. He let himself feel how soft her lips were against his and how small her cheek felt against his palm. He let himself notice his quickly beating, but still ever steady heartbeat, and the feeling welling up in the pit of his stomach. For the first time in his life, Yuki knew how it felt to not be nervous, to be calm and to take exactly what he wanted. He loved every moment of it.
Eventually, he pulled away, still keeping his face close enough to stare into her eyes. "I love you." He repeated, still trying to get used to the foreign words.
As his lips pressed against hers, Jun could feel the butterflies in her stomach once more. Eyes slowly slid shut and she allowed herself to be drawn into the kiss even more than their first one. She hadn't thought kissing someone could feel this pleasant. His lips were as soft as she remembered if not softer and this feeling was even better than it was the very first time. She'd watched romantic movies while in school but never assumed she'd feel this way for someone else and always wondered just how exactly something like this would feel. It seemed now she finally had her answers at the age of 19 with the boy who had become one of her greatest friends and now something much more.
As the kiss ended her eyes opened and she gazed back into the other's eyes, listening to the words he'd said and feeling her heart flutter as if they were music to her ears. Soon her lips curled into a timid smile as she whispered in a quiet voice loud enough for only Yuki to hear. "I love you too."
Yuki stayed there for another few moments, just looking at her; but eventually he stood up, offering her his hand. "Come on," he told her, "you're food's cold and I still have a cake to ice." He'd have to make a new batch of icing, considering most of it was currently on the floor in the hallway. Not that he didn't want to sit on the kitchen floor and make out with her but well... he wasn't about to let his food go to waste (not that Jun would ever dream of wasting food). Grabbing his, now returned, jacket off of the seatback in front of him, he tossed it towards his bedroom, too lazy to walk it. That stupid jacket... it was dumb, but he was glad he lent it to her.
It had been a day since Yuki had kissed Jun, a day since he had started to be the happiest that heβs almost ever been and a day since he started thinking about her every 0.2 seconds (thatβs DOUBLE as much as he used to think about her!). So far, heβd still been on cloud nine, however all of it started fading away with each passing moment that he sat overthinking things. Did this mean they were dating? Was Jun his girlfriend? Did you have to ask about those sort of things or did it just happen? Did she want to be his girlfriend? She said she loved him and all that stuff, wasnβt that the same thing? Should he ask her out on a date? Oh god! Yuki had to ask her on a date! Sudden panic rushed over the tiny boy at the thought of asking a real person on a real date. Heβd never even (officially) been on one of those! What do you even do on a date?
With a sigh he stared at himself in the mirror for a good minute and a half before pulling his phone out of his pocket with an irritated sigh. He could do this. It was just a date.
Pulling up Junβs contact information, he started his message:
Hey Jun, itβs Yuki
No thatβs stupid, she obviously knew who it was. Delete.
Whatβs up?
Is that too informal? Yeah probably. Delete.
Hi
Yeah thatβll sure get her attention. Not. Delete
Wanna grab dinner tonight?
He couldnβt just jump into it like thatβ¦ Delete.
Remember that time we kissed and confessed? That was cool.
Nice joke. Delete.
I love you
Delete.
Yuki sighed and slumped forward in his chair. Why was this so hard? Talking to Jun had never been this difficult. Did the universe just love to conspire against him? He groaned and pulled his phone back up with a frustrated scowl. This should be easy.
PLEASE GO TO DINNER WITH ME I REALLY WANT TO ASK YOU OUT BUT IβM TOO SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah right, the chef laughed to himself, like heβd send that. Yuki went to delete it, but unfortunately the βsendβ and βdeleteβ button were just so close to each other. It had only registered that he hadnβt gotten rid of it a little too late. βWaitβ¦ what the-..β OH GOD! OH GOD NO! GOD NO! THIS IS NOT WHAT HE WANTED!!!
It was just another job as usual for the blonde but even if she was doing makeup for some drama she couldn't help but try figuring out this whole situation at a whole. Okay so generally in all those manga she used to read the characters kissed and then they were a couple so... that was this situation right? It was the only thing that made sense. She'd try to ask her family but they'd just tease her in the end after all so what was the point? Not even her clients she rambled to really got what she talked about as doing their faces. God. Why was this something that made no sense? Why didn't she partake in any of this stuff when she was younger? Well.. she wasn't too old but at least some experience would be great. Oh well.
Shrugging it off Jun relaxed as she could take a small break. Watching a romantic drama being acted out was definitely something, but it didn't help her situation whatsoever. With a frown the blonde was ready for the day to be over. It was going on waaaaay too slow for her liking. All she needed was to go home and maybe do some research or something--wait. This wasn't school. She shouldn't have to research this stuff. UGH. Why was romance something she didn't get?
Before she could go on the phone in her back pocket began to buzz. Huh? Just who could be trying to message her while she's at work? Crap. A set wasn't the best place to deal with a phone so without further ado Jun moved off to deal with whatever this was about.
Unlocking her phone the girl froze as she saw who the message was from. Well they do say "speak of the devil and he'll appear" right? But... Yuki was far from a devil so maybe the saying should be "speak of the person who has been on your mind this entire time and you are so confused like what do you even do in a situation like this just help me now and he'll appear" instead. Regardless she had to check and see what he could be messaging about. Maybe it's something about food!
Reading over the message Jun's eyes widened and her phone nearly dropped from her hand. Well she'd never seen him message her like this before and this kind of message was definitely not expected. So then does this mean that they were a couple? Possibly. This kind of stuff happened in manga, right? Well... maybe not exactly like this but it happened!
'Sure. I'd love to go to dinner with you. This is funny but I was just thinking of you.'
Was that good enough?
Narrowing her eyes at the message, Jun spent a good fifteen minutes trying to figure out if she needed something else. It was almost like the stuff she saw in manga, but there was something missing... what was it?
Oh! A cute emote! That's it! Totally it!
'Sure. I'd love to go to dinner with you. This is funny but I was just thinking of you. (*Β΄κ³`*)'
PERFECT.
With a satisfied look on her face Jun sent the message. Though as soon as it sent the reality of what she'd just agreed to set in and her face began to turn red. This would be her first date.
If Jun hadn't texted him back so quickly, there was no doubt in Yuki's mind that he would have spiraled into insanity. But her text seemed strangely..... rational. Was she alright with this mess of a text? Well then.
He took a deep breath.
I can pick you up after work? I'm done in an hour.
Thankfully he had a huge log of awesome restaurants in his phone. N-Not that he'd been daydreaming about having dates with Jun to any of these for about three months now. Pfft... Yuki... didn't do lame stuff like that. Yeah... no way......
If it weren't for the following message Jun would have still been in her flustered state. Thank God for Yuki's response. Oh, and look at that! It was a little different than the other message. Well... that was good, right? Yeah. He was probably just really excited to ask her about this date... it made perfect sense!
'Sounds good. 'm done in about an hour too. I'm looking forward to this. o(*^β½^*)o'
She had to keep up the emoji after all it made the message more friendly she found. Plus... didn't cute girls use those kinds of things? It was something a character in a drama she watched in high school did so this was absolutely perfect. No way she could ruin this at all. So with a delightful hum she send the message as a small growl came from her stomach. Of course. At least she'd get food after work so she could be good for an hour. Yeah... she'd be fine.
