Teddy walked through the halls, keeping an eye out for Malfoy. Once he spotted him he walked over to him and stood in front of him so he couldn’t continue walking.
“We need to talk.” He said before pulling him over somewhere more private.
“Albus tells me you asked him to the dance, is that right?” He asked with a raise of his eyebrow.
The only reason he was doing this was to make sure Albus wasn’t going to get hurt. He knew how Albus was and just wanted to keep him safe. He’d always been protective over Albus, even when they were little. Although at that point Albus mostly protected Teddy. But now the tables had turned.
Scorpius’ eyes landed on Teddy as he stepped in front of him. His eyebrow raised in question but before he could voice his confusion Teddy had spoke. “Do we now?.” He asked, allowing the boy to take him somewhere private although not without Scorpius glaring at the hand that pulled him. “I cannot think of a single thing we’d need to talk about.” He added, drawling out the word need.
Once they stopped walking Scorpius shoved his hands into his pockets, staring at Teddy impatiently. A small smirk made it’s way onto his face at the boys next words. “How is that any of your business, Lupin?” He answered the question with one of his own, his face void of any indicating emotion.
He had nothing to hide, however he wasnt going to give the guy an easy time. Finding it more entertaining to refuse him an answer.
At his words Teddy sighed, backing down a little.
“Look, Albus is practically my brother so he means a lot to me. I just wanna make sure you aren’t going to hurt him.” He mumbled, running a hand through his hair.
“Not that I think you would, I would do this with anyone really. So it’s not a personal thing. I’m just looking out for him.” He sighed and leaned against the wall.
“If you’re actually serious about taking him and intend to treat him right then I’m more than happy. I just want him happy. If he’s happy then I am.”
Had the conversation been about anything else, Scorpius would have lost interest faster than Teddy could say a word. However, he kept his attention on him, listening to each word.
“I’m a cruel person, I’ll be the first to admit that.” He started in possibly the worst way he could have. “But I don’t find joy in hurting people who don’t deserve it.” He finished, rolling his eyes. A part of him understood why Teddy was bringing light onto this situation. He would probably do the same if Prim or Vers was in a situation like such. Actually, he’d let them live their lives how they please, and if needed he’d Avada whoever hurt the two. The thought made a smirk fall onto his lips.
Stepping closer, he spoke in a low voice, “Tell me, Teddy, if I were to say that my intentions were to hurt Albus, what would you do about it?” His eyes lighting up as he waited for an answer. He somewhat obviously had no intentions of hurting Albus, his actions towards the boy were pure and honest. At this point, knowing what Lupin would do is merely entertainment for the blonde.
Teddy nearly snarled at his words, moving closer so he was practically in his face.
“You wouldn’t want to know what I would do to you Malfoy. Don’t test me.” He hissed.
Teddy wasn’t afraid to stand up for himself or fight for those he cared about. He’s easily throw a punch or two before even thinking about it. He’d got that virtue from his father.
“Now, are we done here?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
Of course he wouldn’t actually end up doing something, not wanting to upset Albus. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to threaten him.
The corner of scorpius’ lips twitched when the other boy hissed out his words. His eyes full of amusement as he watched Teddy react to his words.
“Aw, i’m scared.” He mocked, laying a hand over his heart. “Truly. You’ve frightened me, Lupin.” He continued, his voice taking on a sarcastic tone.
Rolling his eyes, he dropped the act. Looking the boy over, his eyes then landing on Teddy’s. “There’s nothing you could do to me that would hurt.” He spoke, his voice honest. There was no sign of any emotions on his face as he stared down Albus’ friend.
With a growing smirk plastered on his lips, he began walking backwards. He let out a small chuckle before turning around and walking away. As he got further from Teddy he began to whistle, the sound bouncing off the walls.
