Hi guys!! In case you don't know, I've picked up a career in voice acting! It's all been very exciting and very fun, but it has also eaten up a lot of my free time. This unfortunately means I need to take a break from posting here. I'll still do the occasional reblog, but please don't expect original content anytime soon. If you've sent in an ask, sorry but I'm not sure when I'll be able to answer it 😅

About me!!
My pronouns are they/them + meow/meows
My favorite color is burgundy
I'm a multishipper and I love hearing about why people ship a pair together! Kunichuu (Kunikida x Chuuya) is a prime example — I didn't understand it at all, but someone here explained it very well and I love this rarepair now...
I do not write whump/sickfic for a kink, it is purely a way to cope with my health issues and turn them into something creative. I'm fine with kink blogs interacting, as long as you don't talk about any of my posts in a sexualized way, and do not refer to my blog as a kink blog.
I am disabled with several chronic illnesses, and sometimes I incorporate my symptoms into my writing, or mention them in replies to asks. Sometimes my illnesses will prevent me from responding to asks in a timely manner, even if a type of ask is "open".
I sometimes forget to add spoiler warnings and trigger warnings for things. If you see something that needs a warning please let me know! I apologize in advance.

If you find my art, writing, or other posts hot, that's cool but please keep it to yourself.
Do not ask about politics or current events.
If my "inbox" count in my bio resets to 0 and your ask had not been answered, chances are I've purged my inbox because things got too overwhelming. It's nothing personal. If you reeally wanted that ask to be answered, feel free to send it in again.

Quinn’s Masterlist
“-ith me?” A fuzzy disjointed voice bounced around in the back of your mind, but you were too out of it to fully comprehend what it was trying to tell you.
“…nuh…?” you managed to mumble, lips refusing to form anything more than one syllable.
What was wrong with you? Everything felt…well your mind was still trying to catalog exactly what it felt but for the most part you knew you were deeply uncomfortable. All the blood had drained to your head, pounding pressure into your skull while your hands hung uselessly above you dipped in what felt like freezing water. An intense throbbing brought focus to your legs where a steering wheel had bent in towards your lap, trapping you in your seat.
A car. That’s where you were.
What were you doing in a car? The last thing you remembered was…heading home. That made sense at least. But after that, it was pretty muddled. Why wasn’t your memory working?
“Hey, are you with me?” That voice buzzed through your head again and you shut your eyes trying to concentrate on answering.

masterlist
Shoto Todoroki is calm, cool, and collected almost always. Nothing seems to shake him even when put under extreme pressure. A good amount of public opinion believes he’s as icy as his quirk.
You aren’t one of those people. Shoto has been your friend since high school. You were quick to have a soft spot for him. His family or quirk didn’t intimidate you it was like you saw who he was from the start. He was warm and soft. He thought about others and cared for them even if he didn’t always show it through his words.
Now that you were both adults working as pro heroes you knew so even more now. Shoto had grown a lot, around his friends he would talk more and joke around. It was nice seeing him open up and enjoy life after all he had gone through with his family in his childhood.
Shoto was your best friend and even if people thought he was unshakable, you knew better. You could see it on rescue missions that were too close to losing the people in danger. How his eyebrows furrowed, the look in his heterochromatic eyes.
Shoto Todoroki while being one of the best heroes out there was just a man and he too felt the weight of the world at times.
Losing people on the job was never easy, even when it wasn’t your fault. You recall the night like it was yesterday. A fire broke out in a high-rise building. It was a bad night, heroes spread across the city busy with different disasters. It was you and Todoroki and an entire building. Considering the situation it was a miracle that more people didn’t die.
After escorting out groups and groups of people you went to help Shoto with the last few people. A young mother and her children. A heavy beam collapsed, separating her from her children. The smoke was thick and it all happened so quickly. You took the children and Shoto rushed to save her, but there was no helping it. The unstable floor fell out from below her and even as Shoto tried to do anything to keep her from falling it was useless. The building was deteriorating so quickly, the fire burning hot.
If he hadn’t been there you wouldn’t have made it out with the kids without his ice quirk.
You had kept the kids from seeing what happened but they knew when Shoto returned without her that their mother was gone. The scene outside, the kids crying as their father who had been at work returned. Having to tell him what happened. You were going to explain it when Shoto stepped in front of you telling the man what had happened to his wife.
It was devastating. Even though you had saved a building full of people it didn’t feel like enough as you watched the children cry in their father’s arms, watching him tear up trying to stay strong for his kids.
After being treated for smoke inhalation you found yourself at Shoto’s apartment. A place you were no stranger to. You were work partners and best friends. Of course, you had been here many times. For dinner, to help him when he was sick, you even had your own key for emergencies. Knocking on the door you got no reply. You knew for a fact he was home. Using your key you entered figuring this counted as an emergency.
Shoto sat on the couch with only the light of a small lamp. He had a glass of whiskey in hand. He looked drained. His head didn’t even turn as you entered.
“Shoto.” You said softly as you sat down next to him. His knuckles were white around the glass, his other hand clenched in a fist. You took his hand into yours, brushing your thumb over his cold skin. “You did everything you could, it wasn’t your fault.”
“Does it change the fact those kids have no mother now?” He said his voice was low. His voice was raw, hurting. You could hear the pain in it.
“No.” You said. “No, it doesn’t. At the end of the day doing our best with no mistakes sometimes still means that we lose people. We can’t save everyone and that’s the worst thing about being a hero. It’s not fair but it’s not your fault.”
His hand started to relax from a fist, he was still tense but it was a good start. “12, 323 people lived in that building, and 8,578 people were in the building when the fire started. All those people and we only lost one.” You said looking at him but his gaze was still on the wall. “If we were less prepared, if we didn’t work together well any other two heroes would have lost more than one person. I can guarantee it. The agency is in disbelief we saved so many being short-handed.”
“Does it stop the image of those children crying in their father's arms while he tries to hold it together?” You asked. “No, it doesn’t it never will. But we have to focus on the good and not only the bad. We’re only hurting ourselves if we don’t. How many families are together tonight because we saved them? How many couples reunited, grandparents that got out safely so they can see their family again? Lives saved, lives that get to spend another day doing whatever they want to because we saved them. There’s so much good.”
You pulled out your phone and open a social media app. “Look,” You said holding it up. A hashtag was trending thanking you both for saving people in that building. “Thank you for saving my sister, her family lives in that building. Thank you for saving my niece and her husband. Thank you for saving me and my parents.” You read some of them out.
“It doesn’t bring her back. It doesn’t change the grief that family carries now and always will but it gives us the whole picture.” You said.
Shoto’s gaze moved to you and you could see as a tear slipped from his eyes. Without a word you embraced him, holding him as he cried quietly against your shoulder. “Thank you,” He mumbled against you. You hummed in reply as you rubbed his back.
No, Shoto was not a uncaring man. He felt grief all too well.
Shoto was no stranger to anxiety either.
Doing publicity was never enjoyed by either of you but it was part of the job.
The good thing about Shoto being the head of his own hero agency meant that you could control the schedule. Rather than doing media throughout the year, you both plotted a way to get it over with.
Twice a year you did what you coined the ‘Biannual Media Marathon’. Was it horrible? Yes. Did you make it a silly event, of course? Have you made mugs and shirts to commemorate? Yeah.
The media marathon consisted of a full day, usually from six am to eight or nine pm of filming media, photo shoots, and interviews.
Was it an improvement? Probably not but it meant you didn’t have to do it any other day of the year and that was the way you and Shoto preferred it.
The morning would start with hair and makeup then you went to the local news stations to do interviews and even did satellite interviews. After you filmed videos for ads that would run through the year or other PSAs. Then the photo shoots. The hair, makeup, and outfit changes were like torture.
By the end of the day, you felt dead. Not only were you exhausted but your skin felt raw and your head hurt from people pulling at your hair.
The finale was late-night talk show interviews. Shoto had a much better poker face when it came to how over it he was. As the two of you sat in the green room you looked over at Shoto, who looked handsome in a trendy suit with his hair pushed back loosely. But the way his shoulders were slumped and a look in his eyes told you he was at the end of his rope.
Funny how two heroes who constantly trained to keep their stamina up for fights and rescues could be so defeated by a day of socializing and posing.
“Sho,” You said softly. “You good?”
His eyes snapped to you. “I’m exhausted.”
You gave him a soft look before moving to sit next to him. “Rest your eyes, I’ll wake you up when they’re ready for us.” You said.
He started at you for a moment before resting his head against your shoulder. After a moment you heard light snoring from him. You smiled.
Just like that with his eyes closed as he snored against you he looked at peace. The weight of his exhaustion was gone just like that.
Even Shoto Todoroki got tired. You were no stranger to it.
The world was a stranger to the feelings Shoto went through until today.
A battle against a dangerous villain was not an unusual thing for you two to face together. Generally, it was something you dealt with quickly. After working together for so long it was like second nature when you fought together.
All eyes were on the scene, news helicopters flying overhead as onlookers filmed on their phones.
It was clear from the start this wasn’t going to be an easy battle to win. Exchanging blows with the villain, fire, and ice rushing past you.
Exhaustion was starting to wear you down, the villain was trying to wear you both down so you got sloppy, so he’d have an opening. It worked.
Your vision goes black for a moment as you are launched back. When it returns you're on the ground, everything hurts, and the breath is knocked out of you.
A wall of ice covers you, Shoto is in front of you. There’s this look in his eyes you’ve never seen before. It’s distant and present at the same time. His eyes lock onto your stomach, you follow his gaze as his hand gently touches the blood that’s gathering there.
The blood drains from your face as you realize the wound is deep. You feel numb and you know that’s not a good sign.
“Shoto, you have to cauterize it.” You know it’s the last thing he would ever want to do, hurt you with his fire but if he doesn’t-
There are only moments before the villain turns on civilians. Only moments before you lose too much blood and your chances of surviving this get worse. In a second you both realize this is the only option. You take his left hand and place it on the wound.
It’s going to hurt, you know it will but if he doesn’t you could die. You will die.
With a look you nod at him, encouraging him. You know every fiber of him is against this but you also have known him long enough to know he’s come to the same conclusion as you have. It has to happen.
His right-hand brushes against your cheek, brushing away tears you didn’t know were there before stopping at your hand. Holding your hand with his right, he nods as he covers your wound with his left.
The scream you let out is deafening. You had wanted to hold it in, the last thing you wanted was to make Shoto feel worse but in this kind of pain, you had no control. It was quick, a flash of heat but the pain lingered.
“You’re okay,” Shoto’s voice cuts through the ringing in your head. His hands trying to comfort you in any way possible. “You’re okay.”
Shoto watches as you clutch at the burn, the blood still covering you, pooling around you. Your costume is torn and there’s a nasty bruise already starting on your face. He can tell you’re out of it, the pain overwhelming. He’s never seen you this hurt, he’s never seen you so out of it, so vulnerable.
Something in Shoto wells up, his face feels hot, and his head is swimming. There’s a rage in him he has never felt, he’s been angry before but this is different. He finally understands what people mean when they say they’re ‘seeing red’.
You watch as Shoto turns, a flash of red, and the ice wall he put up to protect you both is evaporated. His steps are slow as he approaches the villain. Any attacks launched at him are easily deflected by the flames roaring around him. A trail of ice followed him.
The only way you can describe the scene in front of you is feral. Shoto takes the villain down like it’s nothing. But he doesn’t stop there. He’s on top of the villain wailing on him. You can’t see from where you are but you're sure the villain is bloody.
Deku arrives on the scene and is quick to his friend’s side, pulling him off the villain and trying to get Shoto to return from wherever he is right now.
Kirishima is at your side, his always reassuring smile on his face as he picks you up. “Let’s get you to a doctor.”
Cauterizing the wound was the right choice, the doctor informs you as you lay in a hospital bed cleaned and bandaged.
“If he hadn’t you would have lost a lot of blood by the time you go help.” The doctor explained. “The scar will be worse but much better than chancing death. Your friend saved your life.”
Other than a lot of painful bruises and scratches your wounds are minimal. No head injuries either which is always great. Just bed rest for at least a week to let things heal up.
Shoto enters your room as soon as the doctor is done with you. Whatever state he was in earlier is still lingering around him.
His eyes on you are intent, looking you over as if to make sure you were really okay.
“Sho,” You said softly mustering up your best smile despite the exhaustion you felt and the pain medicine making you feel a bit lightheaded. “My hero,” You tease playfully.
Normally when you try and lighten the mood he follows but this time it doesn’t work. He lets out a heavy breath. You aren’t exactly sure what is bothering him. Of course, he just finished a rough battle and had to cauterize your wound but you weren’t sure of the specific problem.
“The doctors said you saved my life,” You said. “If you hadn’t I would have bled out too much by the time I got here.”
Shoto sits down in the chair beside your bed. He still looks so tense. So upset. His silence usually doesn’t bother you but right now you feel like something is wrong but you don’t know how to help it.
“I’m sorry-” You said, your voice a bit smaller now. “I know that must have been awful for you- to have to use your fire like that. I never would have asked but-”
“I’m not upset about cauterizing your wound.” He interrupts. “I know it was the only way to save you, I’m sorry it had to be done but the last thing you should be is worried about my feelings when you’re dying.”
“Oh,” You said. Now you were more unsure what he was upset about. “You still seem really upset, what’s wrong?”
“Seeing you hurt like that…” It sounds like he’s going to save more but he stops.
“Being hurt is part of the job,” You said, your tone light. Despite facing your own death not long ago you aren’t as bothered about it for some reason. Perhaps it’s easier to joke than face your own fears. “Besides, if I was gone you’d get a new work partner. I’m sure you’re tired of me at this point.” You tease.
Evidently, that was the wrong thing to say. His eyes snap to you and you see anger fill them. “That’s not funny.”
“It’s a little funny,” You probably shouldn’t push but you aren’t in the best place to be making choices right now.
Shoto stands up, his chair sliding back loudly. You blink as he paces the hospital room.
“You don’t get it!” He shouted, his anger wasn’t directed towards you but rather out of his frustration. “I lost it out there. I’ve never felt like that. Like I couldn’t control my own body. I’ve never beaten a villain until I couldn’t recognize them.” His chest heaved, emotions running through him. “Closing that wound- that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Hurting you like that-” His eyes were glassy, his voice caught in his throat. “But I knew it was the only way to save you.”
“I’m not upset because my coworker got hurt! Or even my best friend! I’m upset because I almost lost the love of my life and I never even told you!” A silence falls over the room like he’s surprised by his own words.
“What?” You stare at your best friend in shock.
“I love you.” This time his words are sure, his breathing evens. “I love you, I’ve loved you since we were in high school. You light up every day even when they’re really bad ones. You make even the most mundane or annoying things fun. You’re strong and your kind and you’re my everything.”
Shoto loves you?
Of course, you were close, of course, you worked together, and spent your free time together. And well you were close with his family and always attended events together. There wasn’t a part of your life that Shoto wasn’t in. How often did you go over to his place and make him dinner? How often did he bring you your favorite snacks and drinks during patrol? Was there ever really a moment that you weren’t with him or thinking about him?
Oh.
You loved Shoto.
Dating was always something you avoided. Going on awkward first dates. Trying to get to know someone. Figuring out if they were worth dating. It just was unappealing to you. You had always thought you didn’t have time for a romantic partner because of work but the truth was you thought that you already spent most of your time with Shoto. When would you have time with someone else?
Now you realize it was because Shoto already took the space in your life for a romantic partner. You never yearned for someone because you already had your person. You already had the person you wanted to share everything with.
You just hadn’t realized that was the case.
“I understand you don’t feel the same way, and I’m sorry if this makes things awkward.” He said. “I just can’t move forward without telling you. Not after I almost lost you.”
“Sho,” You said softly. “Come here.”
Shoto looks confused but he moves closer, you take his hand in yours as he sits on the bed facing you.
“I have to admit-” You said with a small smile. “I’m an idiot.”
“What do you mean?” He asked looking confused.
“I always thought that I didn’t need a boyfriend, I always wondered why so many people felt the need to find someone to occupy that space in their life.” You said. “But now I realize that it’s because I’ve had you. You’re with me at work, with me in my free time. We eat meals together, we go shopping together. I mean I go to your family dinners.” You laughed. “This whole time I had you.”
Your gaze is on him, it feels like you're seeing him for the first time. This man, he’s not just your friend- he’s your everything. And for the first time in your life, you have this all-consuming urge to kiss him.
“I love you, Shoto.” You said. “I think I’ve loved you for a long time I was just too blind to see it.”
Shoto smiles at you and it’s blinding. You’ve never seen him so happy before. You move forward to be closer to him but you let out a hiss of pain. His expression turns into concern as he presses you back so you won’t hurt yourself.
“Can you come closer,” You said leaning back against your bed.
Shoto leans closer to you. It’s funny you’ve been this close to him before but it feels different now. It feels electric. “Is this better?”
“It is but-” You said raising your hand up to his cheek, gently brushing against his scar. “It’d be better if you kiss me.”
Shoto blushes but it doesn’t stop him from taking your face in his hands and leaning forward. His lips are soft against yours, eyes closed as his lips move against yours.
Your other hand moves to his neck and you can feel how fast his heart is beating.
He pulls back as you take a deep breath. It seems he can’t keep a smile off his face, it makes you smile despite the pain.
“I can’t believe I almost lost you.” He said. “I was so scared.”
There’s something about the rawness of his tone, it stirs up everything you kept down about this day. You almost died. You would have never had this realization that has changed your life course. You would have left Shoto heartbroken.
Tears well up in your eyes as you start to cry. Shoto is quick to comfort you. He pulls you close, holding you as you let it out. “It’s okay, you’re safe with me.” He coos into your ear. “You’ll always be safe with me.”
Once you calm down he slips into the bed with you, promising to stay with you overnight. You’re sure after his display today no one is going to tell him no.
Laying in the bed, his arm comfortably wrapped around you as you rest on his shoulder. You watch TV.
“Today a villain attack in the heart of downtown caused quite a stir.” The newswoman said. “When things started to look bad we saw top hero Shoto put on quite a display as he defeated the villain.”
The footage is even more crazy from the view from above. The flames around Shoto as the ice went haywire.
The footage jumps to an interview with a ‘hero expert’. “People consider Shoto to be a pretty stoic hero but today we saw an intense scene after his hero partner got injured badly.” They said. “It just goes to show how much more power we can see from these heroes when push comes to shove.”
You looked up at Shoto as he watched the TV. “I guess people won’t think of you as such an icy hero anymore.” You tease.
“I’m not icy.” He said.
“I know that.” You hummed, grabbing his hand in yours. “I think you are quite warm. Cozy even.” You smiled. He looked down at you with a heart-stopping smile. He looked at you with such endearment. “You’re just quiet but people don’t see the whole picture.”
“Like you do?”
“Yeah,” You smiled. “Shoto you’re kind and caring. You’re not this wall of ice that doesn’t falter. I’ve seen you take losses and I’ve seen you exhausted. You’re not this one note of a personality you’re so- so amazing and unique. There’s so much to you and they don’t even see a fraction of it.”
You lean up to press a kiss against his lips. “But I get to see it and I think that’s the greatest honor I’ve ever had.”
Shoto smiles at you as his had rests on your cheek as he pulls you in for another kiss. “You’re my heart.” He said. “You’re my everything.”
“I’m sorry I took so long to see it.” You said.
“It’s okay because this is just the beginning.” He smiled.
After cleaning up the mess that the battle made downtown and making sure the villain was squared away, Kirishima and Midoriya went to check to see how you were doing.
As they opened the door to your hospital room they saw Shoto in your bed, your head on his chest as his arms were wrapped around you protectively. Both of you were fast asleep. The two heroes smiled.
"Took them long enough," Midoriya said quietly as Kirishima laughed.
He’d be outraged, but not at you, no. At the fact that someone dared hurt someone he loves. The “I’ll find them and show them hell” type. Would be extra gentle with you, and even physically affectionate until you get well and he stops beating himself up because of the bent up guilt.
Please teach him that he shouldn’t hold himself accountable to everything bad that happens to you, and that it’s normal due to your rather dangerous career. As unworried as he likes to seem, he gets worried like a mother, and would join you on missions as often as he could.
Midoriya Izuku
Panic. His default response to most things is panic, so it’s no surprise it’s the response for this too. Might cry if you’re hurt too much, he gets so worried! Feels like the worst boyfriend on Earth because he wasn’t there to help you. His mind would keep going back to ‘what ifs’ and such, and he’d really feel like he could have and should have been there to prevent it, even thought it could never be his fault.
He’s so gentle with you, his hugs are careful, his touch is light, his kisses a bit too hesitant and fast. He just doesn’t want to hurt you on accident. I beg of you please help him he’s so lost and sad, the amount of guilt his small body carries is impressive and concerning.
Todoroki Shouto
Several thoughts cross his mind as soon as he hears, and he tries to ignore them all. But there are a few he can’t. Is he a bad boyfriend? Is he uncaring? Was there anything he could’ve done?
He’s scared and worried. Every experience with you feels like venturing into a whole new world. And he’s scared, because he’s never known love before you. And now, when he felt like he was about to lose, he felt like he could lose himself too.
What was his life without you in it? Nothing. Nothing at all.
He’d worry, but he also trusts you and tries to give you credit. He’d be sort of clingy, because he’s too afraid to lose you. Reassure him, because he needs it.
Tamaki Amajiki
He goes into hero mood. No time to panic, time to assess the situation and see if you were okay. But on the inside, panic.
And as soon as he’s sure you’re okay and alive, all that calm composure disappears, and he feels like he’s going to cry.
He holds you tight, apologizing, because he wasn’t enough. He didn’t do as much as he should have. He should’ve worked harder, fought better, and maybe then you wouldn’t have gotten hurt.
He might panic if you go on missions alone at first, so he needs lots and lots of reassurance. Or maybe bring him along.
Kirishima Eijirou
Would cry in secret, can’t be unmanly in front of people.
Feels guilty, even thought it was in no way or shape his fault. In the end, when he’s sure you’re okay, he’d overwork. He’d train day and night, in hopes of becoming strong so he could be deserving of your love. So he could protect you. So you don’t have to get hurt again.
And everyday, he looks worse. His smiles look a bit more strained, and you realize you have to put a stop to it. And when you do, please tell him about how amazing and lovely he is. Shower him with compliments.
Sero Hanta
Sero strikes me as a pretty emotionally stable person, he wouldn’t blame himself more than he has to. But that doesn’t mean he cares less about you, no. He feels bad for letting you get hurt, but he also acknowledges that there was nothing he could’ve done to prevent it. All he can do now is work harder, and make sure you’re happy when you’re there, safe with him.
He’s grateful once you get better, and he’d take you out on dates, does dumb shit with you, he’d do so much, to see that smile and hear that laugh of yours, and then and only then, will he feel better about all of this.
Shigaraki Tomura
Who are they? Where are they so he could decay them? Someone who hurts what he loves is someone who shouldn’t be breathing the same air as him. The most stubborn when it comes to the “I’m gonna hurt who hurt you” part. Because why let them live? What if they hurt you again? It’s for the best.Once you get him to calm down, he tries to focus all of that energy on making you feel good. Whether it be playing video games with you, being affectionate with you even if he’s not used to it, and spending time together in general. He’d be hesitant to take you out on more missions, because he can’t risk losing you, he’s already lost too many people. He can’t lose you too. He’s soft on the inside, please love him.
bakagou comforting sick s/o.He didn't know she was sick he found out tho.S/o is puking alot. Like first thing in the morning no food just mucus and any medicine or water she tries to get down.(Legit me Everytime 9times my highest, sucks)her own humor is she's making the bathroom her home temporarily. When puking she kinda suffocates over and over since nothing comes out it's just empty pressure so she nearly passes out every time. And just kinda sleeps on the bathroom floor between each one.

Fluff
———
You had caught the flu
It was really bad so you didn’t go to class that day
You decided against telling your boyfriend since you didn’t want him to worry and get all angry
But when he didn’t see you in class he couldn’t help but worry
Asked around to see if people had seen you
They said they hadn’t seen you since yesterday and that you hadn’t join them for dinner that night either
He took down notes and homework for you so you wouldn’t fall behind
The first thing he did after class was ignore everyone and go to your room
———
He was knocking on your door like a mad man, wondering why the hell you weren’t answering. He decided to open the door himself, ready to yell at you for not coming to school and then not answering your door or your phone, only to find you passed out on the bathroom floor. He dropped his things and picked you up, walking over to your bed and placing you on it. He placed a hand on your forehead but immediately retracted it when he felt you were burning up. He scoffed and covered you with your duvet before walking out of your room
He returned a few minutes later, having changed out of his school uniform and with a basin of water, a cloth and some medication. He placed the basin on your desk and turned to your bed to check your temperature. But your bed was empty. He was pissed that you left your bed, but soon heard you throwing up in the bathroom. He pushed the door open to you hunched over the toilet, empty pressure coming out. He kneeled down behind you and pulled your hair out of your face, rubbing circles on your back. When you had finished, you were breathless, leaning against the toilet seat so you don’t flop over to the side. Katsuki picked you up and brought you back to bed, making you take the medication he brought and placing a damp cloth on your forehead.
———
He left you to go down stairs to make soup for you.
After a while, he returned with the soup in his hands and more medicine, but once again, your bed was empty.
Once again, he found you curled up on the floor on your bathroom in front of the toilet.
He tried picking you up again, but as soon as he touched your burning skin, you jolted up and your gut emptied once again into the toilet.
You were about to pass out on the floor again before he hoisted you up into his arms and brought you back to bed.
You jokingly told him that he could have left you there since you had made that place your temporary home.
He didn’t find your joke very funny.
He figured that giving you medicine was a wast of time because it wouldn’t stay down.
He tried his luck with the food but before it even got time to digest, you were running to the bathroom to vomit it back up. His best course of action was to keep you hydrated since you vomited everything, causing you to be dehydrated.
He kept replacing the damp cloth on your head every so often, and would open the window to let fresh air get it.
When your fever wasn’t going down, he told you to take off all your clothes. You kept your underwear on, plopping the clothes next to your bed.
Your fever was starting to go down and you were starting to fall asleep for the night. He decided to sleep next to you, even if it meant him getting sick.
He may not be the best at showing his affection, but he does know a thing or two about physical health.
By morning, he was exhausted, barely getting any sleep since you were coughing all night, but he stayed there for you, to make sure you were ok.
When he venture down into the common room to get some food and more meds, since you had seemed to stop vomiting, his pink haired classmate was the first to pint out the dark circles and tired look on his usually well rested face.
He rolled his eyes, to tired to even fully acknowledge the comment.
He quickly cooked you up a light breakfast and carried it up to your room.
You managed to eat half of it before felling too sick to continue, but he was glad that you managed to get some food into your system.
———
The sleepless nights went on for a couple more nights until you were fully well again. He couldn’t been more relieved, knowing you were ok. You felt guilty knowing that you were the cause of his tired face. When he came back into your room after taking a shower, you motioned for him to come sit on your bed. He complied, too tired to do other wise. You scooted over and told him to lie down. He did as told and you pulled his head into your chest and scratched his head, telling him to go to sleep because he deserved it. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to him, snuggling into you further. It didn’t take long for you to hear soft snors escape his partially open mouth. You kissed his forehead and whispered words for gratitude and love to him. You were thankful that you had such a caring boyfriend, even though he would protest against it, you knew he cared deeply for you.
Suddenly, he sneezed. Oh god.

Sorry these are coming out super late but better late then never
do you write x reader stuff? if so, could you write some kunikida x reader sickfic with sick reader? headcanons or any kind of writing is good!!
ough i know i'm on hiatus but i just couldnt resist this is a top tier ask anon.... this does not mean i'm back, i'm just here to drop off some food for yall and scratch my itch for sickfic
Kunikida x gn!agency!Reader sickfic headcanons (established relationship) (Yosano is busy, for plot convenience)
Kunikida has things written in his notebook for what's most effective for you when you're sick, your mannerisms, comfort foods, remedies, average recovery time, etc., especially if you get sick a lot.
He stays beside you as much as he can, doing work for the Agency remotely on his laptop. Whether you're an independent type of person or not, he knows you get sensitive when you're feverish and his instinct to not leave you alone outweighs his personal philosophy of never skipping a day of work.
He does his best to stay calm and rational for you, but -- especially in the beginning -- he is Panicked as Fuck internally. Is he doing everything right? Are you comfortable? Are you feeling worse than you're telling him? When the hell will Dr. Yosano be back from her trip? The two have been having at least three text conversations a day solely about your condition, though they mostly consist of Yosano telling Kunikida that he needs to calm down. And eat, for Christ's sake.
Feelings are complicated for Kunikida, they've always been. He gets so conflicted, seeing you in a state like this and feeling anything other than worry. You're so miserable, but at the same time, so beautiful. And it's awful, he thinks, to romanticize something so painful for you, but he just can't help it when he loves you so much.
Kunikida is very gentle with you, his touches are feather-light and he's just so apologetic if he does so much as bump you or make you stir from a nap.
He does not want you exerting yourself, ignoring the obvious hypocrisy. No working, no cleaning, no cooking... You want to get back to the Agency as soon as possible, don't you? Then stay in bed for a faster recovery.
He is always on top of everything, whether it be medication, retaking your temperature, changing out a cooling patch, making sure you drink water, or anything else. He has many timers set for when you can take more medication. He always feels bad when he has to wake you up in order to do any of these things, but it's simply too important to stick to the schedule he's planned out for taking care of you.
Numbers. He's obsessed with the number on your thermometer, writing it in his notebook each time he does another reading. If it isn't going down, he's convinced he's doing something wrong. If it's going up, even just a little, not only are you in grave danger and all of the alarm bells are blaring in his head, but he's failing you. He would never show you how upset he is, but it consumes him. He's only able to cry when he's sure you're fast asleep.
He isn't quite sure how to handle delirium. Almost every other aspect of a fever can be measured or tracked, but this is unpredictable and outright strange. He just has to go with you saying goofy, uncharacteristic shit, then getting all sappy and telling him how much you love him, then crying a few minutes later, confused and intelligible. All he can do is cup your face, wiping your tears and trying his best to soothe you.
Even after you're feeling better, he still wants you to take one more day off to recharge yourself and restore all that lost energy. After that, he still hovers over you for the next few days at work.
Teehee this was fun!! I love character x reader content, let me know if you'd like more and I just might return~ ^^
give that character who is usually so stoic a fever. make them softly beg for contact. Make them whimper and sob and plead for someone, anyone to stay. Stay with them— they don’t… Everything feels weird, and it’s safer with you, please—
hey there babe!! i have a bnha request 🥰: can i have todoroki, bakugou, shinsou, and keigo with a s/o that gets injured while fighting villains alongside them? thank you so much!! love and kisses from 🎤 anon !!!! 🥰💗💓🥺💝💕💘
author’s note: HELLO DARLING!! yes, of course you can! i’m sorry it took so long but i hope you enjoy it :) siDE nOTE i’m so exCitEd because you are my first anon aHHH i love you so much thanks for requesting T^T <3 also sorry for making bakugo’s one so angsty LOL
You had just finished off the last of the villains on your side when your legs buckled and you collapsed with exhaustion
“Y/N!” Todoroki’s voice echoed from down the street
He used his ice quirk to get to you in the blink of an eye and immediately knelt by your side, completely forgetting about the villains he was fighting
“Are you hurt?” he asked, grabbing your arms with his large hands, gripping you so tightly with worry that the blood flow to your arms got cut off
“I’m fine,” you coughed weakly. “Just… tired…” you forced out
But it was obvious you were lying by the way you were practically gasping for air
Your eyes shifted to the approaching villains as they closed in on you two
Not even bothering to stand, Todoroki twisted his torso and hit them with a blast of fire
His face was stoic but fury burned ferociously in his eyes, insistent on not letting them get anywhere near you
The villains crumpled to the ground, unconscious and you smiled up at your boyfriend proudly, forever impressed by his prowess
He turned back to you, anger now replaced with concern as he gave you his full attention
“Can you stand?” he asked, worry etched into every part of his face
You nodded and grimaced as you tried to get up with his help
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through your ribs and you doubled over, grabbing your side
“You’re hurt,” he said, carefully laying you down on the ground, his left arm holding your body close to his
He gently pried your shaky fingers away from your ribs and replaced them with his right hand
You winced before letting out a sigh of relief, a cooling sensation spreading over your exposed ribs and numbing the pain
You stayed like that for a while; eyes closed as you focused on the feeling of Todoroki’s cool skin against yours
After you felt good enough to stand, Todoroki pulled your arms over his shoulders and piggy-backed you to the nearest hospital, where you stayed the night
The next morning, you woke up to a messy mop of red and white hair fast asleep at the edge of your hospital bed
He stirred as you ran your hand through his soft hair, his eyes tired from watching over you all night
When he realised you were awake and doing okay, he pulled you into his arms
“I’m so glad you’re safe,” he said, relief washing over him
“Don’t ever scare me like that again,” he whispered shakily as he embraced you tighter
Bakugo Katsuki
You gasped for air as a red flower bloomed under your costume from the deep gash in your side
“Weakling,” the villain spat, kicking you harshly in the stomach
A little blood escaped from your mouth as you coughed painfully
He raised his weapon, blade glinting menacingly in the moonlight as he prepared for the final blow
Just when you thought this might be your end, you heard your boyfriend’s voice ringing in your ears
“Y/NNNNN!!!!!”
You watched helplessly as Bakugo blasted the villain into oblivion, showing him the same amount of mercy you received - none
“DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH HER AGAIN! DIE YOU PIECE OF SCUM!” he screamed between blasts of his quirk
He attacked violently, blinded by rage and the will to protect you
He disposed of the villain quicker than he ever had before and rushed over to you, leaving your attacker groaning in pain on the concrete floor
Bakugo crouched down and held your limp body in his arms, his eyes swirling with so many emotions: anger, concern and fear
“Why did you fight him?! You know you’re not strong enough to handle villains like that yet!” he raised his voice, unable to mask how truly worried he was
Although his words stung, you knew he was right
But you couldn’t help it
“If I didn’t distract him… He would have gone after you… Idiot…” you said through laboured breaths
His eyes widened in realisation; you were trying to protect him
He couldn’t help but feel guilty as he looked at the condition you were in, scolding himself for failing to keep you safe
“It’s not your fault, Katsuki,” you reached up and caressed his face gently. “I was careless.”
He leaned into your touch, a thin film forming over his eyes
“Don’t do anything stupid like that again,” he choked out
You nodded weakly as he wrapped his arms protectively around you
Shinso Hitoshi
Your hand went up to your temple, massaging it in an attempt to reduce the incessant pounding in your skull
You and Shinso had fought long and hard, side-by-side, and were eventually able to successfully apprehend the villains
Now you were waiting for the police to show up and take them away before you called it a night
As you removed your hand from your head, you stared in shock at your fingers now coated with slick red liquid
“Man, feels great for people to finally recognise me as the good guy despite my quirk,” Shinso sighed contentedly
He smirked devilishly at the villain that lay tied up on the floor before striding back towards you
“I think we did a pretty good job, huh ba-” his smile instantly vanished as he watched the thick liquid run down the side of your face
He hadn’t noticed it before, having been so concentrated on winning the chaotic fight
“I’m fine, Toshi,” you tried to reassure him as he examined your face closely
Your words proved void as you winced when he touched your face
You knew you had made a mistake
“Toshi, wait-” you called, but he wasn’t listening
His eyes darkened as he slowly approached the culprit
“Did you do this? Did you hurt her?” his voice low and dangerous
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about!” the villain pleaded, trying to scramble away
Having answered his question, Shinso activated his quirk, eyes full of intent to hurt
“How dare you lay a finger on my precious Y/N,” he growled. “I’m going to make you pay.”
“Hitoshi, stop! You’re not the bad guy, remember? Don’t do it, you’re better than that! You’re better than him!” you shouted, trying to ignore the burning pain as you implored him to reconsider
He inhaled deeply, glaring daggers at the villain before deactivating his quirk
“Today must be your lucky day,” he said, face showing no emotion but venom potent in his voice
Shinso walked back and embraced you protectively as the police arrived
“Thank you,” he sighed, kissing the top of your head as he gently pressed the ice pack he retrieved from the officers to your temple
“I promise to always be the good guy, to protect you from the evils of this world,” he vowed
Keigo Takami
You and Keigo made such a perfect team, complementing each other in every way possible - even in fighting
Just as you were finishing off the last villain on your side, someone punched you from behind, sending you flying into a brick wall
The impact knocked the wind out of you and you collapsed on the cold hard ground
“Y/N!” Keigo cried
Golden orbs ablaze, he fought off the remaining villains with new found strength
One of them sneaked out of his line of sight, determined to finish you off
But Keigo noticed and flew over at the speed of light, kicking him square in the chest
He stood defensively between you and the remaining villains, wings spread out as a protective barrier to shield you from their attacks
You tried to get up, not wanting him to fight alone, but the pain was too intense and your body refused to cooperate
However, your efforts proved unnecessary as Keigo finished off the last one with a bone-crushing punch
No longer in the presence of danger, your muscles relaxed and your body slumped down onto the ground
“Y/N! Are you okay?!” he asked as he knelt beside you, panting from exhaustion
You nodded stiffly, body still weak
He scooped you up in his strong, capable arms and stood up, carrying you bridal style
He held you so closely to his chest that you could hear his rapid heartbeat
“Hold on tight, dear,” he said
He waited for your hand to clench around his jacket before taking off to the skies, flying you to the nearest medical centre
The wind tousled his blonde locks as he glanced down at you worriedly, making sure you were okay
You closed your eyes and inhaled his comforting scent, smiling softly as you rested in his arms
A/N: because apparently I can only write dark shit if Deku is involved
Request from Ao3: Can I get an Izuku x Reader? Reader is another student with a weaker quirk(they can heal others, but in order to do so they must take on the wound themself, maybe?) Maybe kinda the “Are you crazy? You almost lost your life!” prompt.
Warnings: Descriptions of gore, trauma, angst. Also some dadzawa because I’m weak
Like many quirks, yours had an upside and a downside to it. Your parents called you blessed to have such a quirk; as if you were some sort of angel. You didn’t really agree with that phrasing- and you soon had to run away from your parent’s eager hands so they stopped abusing your quirk. You took refuge in U.A- once you barely passed the exam you explained your situation to the teachers, they were quick to take you in. Aizawa had interestingly enough decided to house you- but he made it quite clear that even though you were in his class he wouldn’t be playing favorites and you would be graded fairly.
Your quirk is simple enough. You have the ability to heal others completely, but it might cost you your own life. You take their pain and transfer it to yourself- sometimes it’s not a big deal, and sometimes it is. For instance, you are not allergic to peanuts, but if someone else is and starts to choke from the effects, you can easily snatch that away and save their life while having no real consequences yourself because your body is not allergic to peanuts.
Your parents thought of you as a lifesaver; anytime they were presented with discomfort, they demanded their angel take it from them. Not only was this abusing your quirk, but it was abusing you in the process. You had since learned from Aizawa housing you that you are not required to heal anything and anyone- you have a choice in the matter.
Today, you made a rather… drastic choice.
It was a completely normal day. You, Midoriya, and Uraraka had been traveling Musutafu for fun when you had heard about a villain attack nearby. Of course, your blood boiled at the thought of another villainous attack, but you knew that you were still in training and going in to help was the last thing anyone needed right now. Convincing Midoriya was difficult- in the end, you weren’t even able to win- but you made a compromise.
You’d go look at the damage, and once the villains were dealt with, you’d help with damage control and any civilians that needed a hand after the attack. That sounded fair enough.
A/N: I read THIS by @dreamy-writings and was inspired to write this, lol
Warning: Angst, cursing

*~*~*~
"Oi, you need to talk to shitty hair," Katsuki snapped, throwing a bunch of flowers on your bed.
Mina sat on the edge of the mattress, took your shoulders in her hands, and gently shook you. "Please, [Name], Eijiro has gone off the deep end."
"I'm sure just Ei is just a little stressed," you tried to sound soothing. "He's been working a lot -"
"We wouldn't be here if we didn't think it was serious," Denki urged.
"He's going to hurt himself," Katsuki growled. "Don't need both you idiots out of commission."
"We know, after everything, we shouldn't be bothering your healing time. But…. Eijiro needs you." Mina hung her head in defeat.
Just what was going on? When your fiance was home, he was as cheery and bright as you'd always known him. Was he different at work? With his friends?
"Shitty Hair thinks this -" Katsuki gestured to your broken arm and leg, the bandages around your head, your sprained ankle and broken ribs, the numerous bumps and bruises, the multiple hairline fractures and surgery incisions, and the antibiotic drip the hospital sent you home with. "Is some how all his fucking fault. That damn idiot won't listen to us! He's been working the hell out of himself. Spends hours beating himself up."
You felt like you cracked in half. Like a bit of you shattered. Not the ones from being thrown into buildings and trampled on by a giant villain. But deep down in an untouchable place. You felt like you broke apart.
Knowing you caused your beloved so much anxiety and stress had boiled up in him. Maybe you should've seen it. But he was just so happy. Glued to your side, helping you bathe, helping you get to the bathroom, changing the bandages on your head - assuring that he still thought you extremely attractive, even though you were going to have a hell of a scar going from the middle of your hairline down under your left ear. He was always smiling and joking when he was with you.
"The wheelchair they gave me is in the closet," you muttered, eyes on where your hands were balled around the blankets. You had to be strong. Normally, Eijiro was your rock. Now the tables had turned.
Mina pulled out the wheelchair while Denki and Katsuki helped get you out of bed. Luckily you'd asked Eijiro to help you into sweatpants and a decent t-shirt before he left for work. You asked for one of your shoes to put on your uncasted foot (which was wrapped in an ace bandage instead). Then unhooked the IV and pinched the line. The bag was nearly done anyway.
"I'm ready when you all are," you muttered. A silent tremor passed through the room. Then you all were out the door.
In his agency training facility, Eijiro was giving all he had to a punching bag. Sweat poured from the hardened ridges in his skin. He felt the solid bag meet his fists, but none of it was satisfying. None of the hits eased the guilt.
No amount of punching had shaken away the image plaguing his mind. You lying in bed, barely seeming to hold on. The doctors said you had internal bleeding, a concussion, then listed off all the broken parts. A bit of himself broke with each word.
Eijiro had bawled hysterically when the doctors left and he was alone with your unconscious body. He gripped your hand, begging to anyone who would hear him. Asking them to let you pull through. That, in exchange, he'd get stronger. No matter the cost.
Eijiro was determined to keep your spirits up. To not let you know how much he'd been suffering. You couldn't imagine the wells that wanted to overflow the first time your eyes opened. The first kiss you gave him after waking up. He felt like bursting, you'd been returned to him.
In exchange, he'd train himself raw. He'd push himself past his limit. It didn't matter what Katsuki, or Tamaki, or even Fat Gum had to say. Eijiro was going to protect you next time. For now he'd train. Then go back to you at the end of the day with a smile, no matter how much he hurt or how tired he was. Coming home to you, hooked to an IV and barely able to move around the house - that image drove him.
Eijiro had been so excited to have you home. But every time he looked too long at your casted arm, or uncovered the puckered gouge on your head. Everything reminded him he hadn't been there to help. To save you. Deku had been, he lifted that gargantuan off you like a pillow. Eijiro didn't think he'd ever have been able to do that. So he was going to train until he could.
You hadn't complained once since you'd been home. Only grateful when you'd gone out a few days after to greet your fans. There were so many who thanked you for saving them. Each felt like a bit of a hit to him. You'd saved all those people and he didn't even manage to save you. Was he truly a hero if he couldn't protect those he cared about?
It didn't matter to him that he was a five hour plane ride away when it all happened. Eijiro had gone to do some publicity stuff with other heroes. He had to hear it from an insensitive reporter who asked how he felt knowing his fiance was in the hospital. But he hadn't. He didn't know. His fellow heroes outraged at the question and Eijiro was on a plane back to you within the hour.
He swore he'd be there next time. That he'd never let anything like this happen again. Eijiro had gone in the plane bathroom and had a good deep cry a few times. When he saw the videos, read the articles, saw all the people asking Where was Red Riot? He hadn't been there. He'd let down the one person he never wanted to. It broke his heart into a million bits. He didn't think he'd ever be able to repair himself.
Eijiro cried as he punched. No one would be able to tell through the sweat. But each and every punch got harder, and so too did his tears.
Pitying looks were passed your way as Katsuki pushed you through Eijiro's agency. You stopped in briefly to talk to Fat Gum. He looked so put out and desperate. He said he'd tried everything. But everyday, Eijiro had been in the facility's gym. Working himself until he bled or passed out.
Katsuki pushed you, Mina and Denki in tow, down the halls to the gym. You heard the blunt hits long before you saw the doors. Each one grating into your mind. You were never going to forget the hot guilt that bit at you with each thud.
Katsuki pushed you to the gym door way. It was empty, except where your beloved stood hardened to the max, shirtless. You saw a bit of blood dripping from his back. The punching bag was losing sand and stuffing. A defeated one laid in a lump on the floor already. You watched a long minute. Then you realized each grunt turned more into a cry or a wail.
You turned to Denki, and held out your hand. He gave you the crunch he'd been carrying. Luckily the arm and the leg you'd broken were on the opposite sides of your body. You hauled yourself up, your friends helped steady you. Then you limped your way across the gym. Finally, you came into view in the mirror in front of him.
A few spots on Eijiro's face were bleeding. His eyes were blown out. His features scrunched up in….there wasn't a word strong enough to explain the pain. The anguish. The despair. His eyes met yours and, all at once, he broke down.
Eijiro collapsed to his knees. His quirk finally releasing him. Sobs still wracked his shoulders, they shook violently. But his sobs were silent now. Though you didn't miss the tears that dripped onto the floor.
"Eiji," you cooed and lowered yourself to the floor.
He shook his head. "You….sh-should be-e….hom-m-me. He-healing."
"You need me more." You put a hand on his shoulder. Eijiro latched on to you. You didn't care about the blood, sweat, or tears, or how much sitting that way hurt. You just needed to get him to breathe now.
"I -" he hacked. "I'm not strong enough. I'm not….I'm not manly enough. Even now. What if you get hurt again - or worse? Because I couldn't….I can't…."
You shook your head and kissed his damp hair. "Eijiro - honey, listen to me, it wasn't your fault. Really. This was me being overconfident. It was my own fault. You're an amazing hero. Thousands of people look up to you. You have to stop beating yourself up. You're being the best hero you can be. And I love you for every bit of who you are. No matter what happens to me, you'll always be my number one hero."
Eijiro sobbed harder, gripping you closer. You didn't complain at the protesting throbs of pain screaming all over your body. You sat a while longer. When he was finally feeling better, he carried you back to your chair. Then he took a quick rinse in the shower before pushing you home. Your friends had prepared everything for a movie night when you got back; movies, drinks, takeout.
You could see the relief in their faces.
You still caught him giving you long, guilty glances. You would only lean over and kiss the look away. But you could never know the weight of what you said. He wanted to eat, sleep, live, and breathe by that creed.
I will NEVER be over the gentle little "shh, you'r okay" + a hair stroke from one character to another who's feverishly and fearfully mumbling in their sleep
okay how about a bakugou angst scenario where his s/o gets hurt in training. he’s either very angry (more than usual) or just quiet because of how distraught he is. could you even write the reaction of him visiting his s/o at the hospital?
I may have cried writing this. I was in such a downer mood that it played perfectly into my writing. This definitely turned into a one-shot btw. I hope you enjoy this, Lovely!
I totally was thinking of Avatar the last air bender when I thought of what quirk she could have btw
Bakugou Katsuki x Female!Reader
Warnings: Angst (so much angst- like grab a tub of ice-cream, but I am a baby so idk), fluffy ending, mentions of blood/violence, talks of death, grammar mistakes probably
Words: 2,440
Everyone knew that you trained frequently with Todoroki and Midoriya. It was how you became stronger and Todoroki didn’t mind helping you out (after Izuku talked him into it). You were grateful for every opportunity you had to train with them. It worked well as Midoriya always managed to help you work on your quirk.
Your quirk was a rather simple one. It was Earth Manipulation. It’s just as the quirk name suggests, you can manipulate the Earth. The only condition was that your feet had to be bare in order to feel the Earth under you.
It made it a challenge for the two who constantly trained with you and vice versa. The only downside was your boyfriend, Bakugou, who hated the idea of you training with them. Of course, he couldn’t stop you.
Which eventually leads to a dreadful night that will forever be etched into his brain.
~*~
For once, Bakugou can’t go to sleep no matter how hard he tried. He can’t figure out why. His hand rests against his phone and his body starts to fill with anxiety and anger since he has no idea why he’s feeling like this.
Synopsis: you almost died in a duel against Dabi. Bakugou is patching you up and he is not happy.
Warning: angst, mention of wounds such as burns, scratches, reader almost died, confort and a bit of fluff.
Author's note: this takes place in a somewhat Fantasy AU where reader has to cooperate with the enemy, Bakugou and his people.
"You're a fucking idiot."
You didn't reply, sure to rile him even more if you tried to be sassy or dismissive. Bakugou frowned even deeper at this lack of answer, knowing full well you had many things to say.
"How could you go there knowing very well you would fucking lose?" he spat. "Without even telling us."
"I was handling it," you growled and hissed when Bakugou bandaged your wound a bit tighter than necessary. You glared at him and him at you, challenge clear in his vermillion eyes.
"No, you were not," he finally growled back, focusing on your wound again.
Maybe you were not handling it that well, but you had been holding your ground when Midoriya, Bakugou and Todoroki had arrived. Dabi was a formidable opponent, a few minutes more and he would have reduced you in ashes.
"You're lucky Denki noticed something was odd in the forest," said Bakugou, tone hot and angry.
"How much longer will you pester me about this?" you sighed.
His gaze landed on your face, something trembling deep inside it, like a flame. His hands then stopped working and he stood up abruptly. You jumped a little, caught off guard by his reaction.
"You think I'm only fucking pestering you? I'm trying to beat some sense in that thick skull of yours, you fucking moron! You could have died! We could have been too late! Fuck, we could have arrived barely in time and see you die!"
Bakugou's voice was loud, shaking with what seemed like anger but not quite. You felt your own temper flare.
"I was only trying to help," you say through your teeth.
"Well, don't try next time. We don't need that."
The sudden pang of hurt in your chest rendered you speechless. Tears were rapidly threatening to spill and you would be damned before crying in front of Bakugou. You didn't want that. You only wanted to be left alone, tending your wounds yourself and fall asleep to forget your fiasco.
But Bakugou stayed, muttering some more swears before kneeling in front of you again, trying to capture your gaze with his. When he saw you stubbornly avoided his eyes, his hands made their way on your knees, squeezing them a bit.
"Look at me," he said, a bit breathless. You refused silently once again, focused on a broken nail. "Please," he added.
And that word made you look. Bakugou's thumbs were tracing little circles on your knees and his cheeks were a bit red. But his eyes had softened, a clear contrast with the look he had a few minutes ago.
"What I'm trying to say here is that we were scared to lose you," he explained, and his voice sounded so far away yet so close. "You know you're no match for him, what were you fucking thinking?"
"I was thinking of helping you," you said. "You all look exhausted, Ochako is at the end of her rope... And I can't do anything. I can't do anything, Bakugou, except waiting for you all to come back and patch you up as best as I can. I'm sick of feeling useless, I want to do more than this."
Bakugou stayed silent for a moment. The only thing you could hear was your breathing and his. To see him so quiet, with a blank face and carefully inexpressive eyes was nerve-wracking. Once again, you wanted to be alone and forget all this.
"You're already doing plenty enough, princess."
Something almost broke in you. His voice was soft, softer than you've ever heard. You preferred the screaming, you knew how to handle it. But this? This was breaking something deep inside you.
Bakugou leant a bit into your space and before you knew it, his forehead was against yours. A gentle move, so so gentle.
"You're doing enough," he repeated, voice deep, with so much assurance you wanted to believe him. "You are enough."
He then sat back down and proceeded to bandage your left arm, still bleeding a bit. The ugly burn on your shoulder helped you focus on something else than Bakugou's fingers brushing your skin. He was good at bandaging, you thought dumbly, maybe because he had to patch up Midoriya so often before you arrived in their lives.
"Next time, don't rush head on in a fight like that," said Bakugou, breaking the silence. "At least, talk to us. Tell us what you think and what you need so we can help you as much as you help us."
You only nodded, not very convinced it would change anything. Bakugou seemed to sense what you were thinking because he took your hands in his. How many times had he touched you tonight? How many more will he? Why was he doing this?
"Princess, I'm serious. We can listen."
"I know."
"I can listen."
"I know," you repeated firmly.
"So tell me what you're thinking."
You couldn't. You couldn't because nothing was clear enough, your mind was fuzzy, reeling, your skin burning and your body aching. And Bakugou's hands were enveloping yours, squeezing them gently like we was afraid you would go. His eyes were on you, ignoring everything else, his attention was entirely on you and you couldn't escape it.
Fuck, you were feeling dizzy.
"I just want to sleep," you murmured, not trusting your voice.
Bakugou stared before nodding his head.
"Just let me do something for that burn first," he said.
"Okay."
You wish he didn't. His hands were hot, careful, like he was used to this. You remembered Midoriya's scars, how big some of them were.
"Relax."
You laughed a little. It was so easy to say. How could you relax? How could you relax with his hands on your skin, applying an onguent on your burn with a care he shouldn't have for someone who tried to kill him not that long ago? How could he asked that from you like it was the easiest thing of the world?
"There, done," Bakugou said after minutes of massaging delicately your burnt skin. The onguent was already taking effect, you could feel the burning sensation on your shoulder fading a bit. Despite that, you knew it would leave a scar. Another one to add to your collection.
"Let's go to bed," said Bakugou.
You thoughts stopped abruptly. "Huh?"
"You're tired, princess, let's go to sleep."
You stared at him with wide eyes and leaned back a bit. Surely your brain was misinterpreting but--
"You mean together?" you croaked, and that made Bakugou huffed a laugh. His lips crooked in a smirk and you felt your cheeks burn. "Forget it," you muttered.
"We can," Bakugou said, still smirking. "After all, there's only one bed."
"That is my tent, of course there's only one bed."
"Is that a yes?"
"It's a shut up, forget it, forget I asked this--"
Bakugou interrupted you: "Princess, we can sleep together if it feels safest for you. I can also stay beside the bed if you want me to. Or I can simply leave. Your choice."
You stared at him again, not knowing how to feel. You had a choice. He was waiting for you to make a choice. He was telling you he could stay if you wanted even though you had tried to harm him and had insulted him many times. Was he actually stupid? Or had he an hidden purpose?
No, you thought, his gaze locked to yours. There was no ill intention in those red eyes, only pride, understanding and something else impossible to read.
You hesitated a bit longer and Bakugou was waiting, strangely patient and calm.
And you didn't want to be alone, you realized. Just the thought of it made your stomach churn and your throat contract. No, you didn't want him to go and leave you alone with your thoughts, your fiasco, your feelings, with yourself...
"Stay."
Bakugou nodded and helped you stand up, your legs too weak to support you. He guided you to your bed, arms around your waist like an anchor. The heat of his body to your side made you feel a bit better, less alone, and the simple contact made you focus on something else that the self hate you had.
He didn't come in bed with you, maybe cautious of your boundaries, and you felt a bit disappointed, though you didn't really understand why. That was something to think about later, you didn't have the energy to do that tonight. Bakugou tucked you under the blankets, careful of your wounds and your burns, and then sat next to your bed, one hand holding yours.
His free hand caressed your cheek, your temple, your jawline, and the simple contact made your eyes flutter.
"Don't resist, just sleep," Bakugou said, voice low.
You hummed, wanting to stay awake a bit longer just to feel him caressing your face a bit more. Exhaustion was stronger, however, and you succumbed to sleep quickly.
