Y'know what I'm actually a slut for is Caretaker having no choice but to become the Master because it's the only relationship Whumpee can understand. Caretaker realizing that too much freedom and too much kindness is detrimental because it keeps Whumpee in a constant state of anxiety. Realizing that they can't just take off the collar and leash; they have to hold the leash and train their new rescue back up into a person who wants the collar off.

Hola, Doomers! Ask and thou shalt receive: here be the June of Doom 2026 prompt list for all your doomsday planning! All the good stuff's below the cut!
Previous Dooms: 2023 || 2024 || 2025
Caretaker caring for a recovering weaponized whumpee.
It's extreamly dangerous just being around them since they're so unpredicable and destructive. Caretaker's not only in danger of being around them, but also being targeted by whumper for taking away their prized little possesion.
Caretakers who can't keep it together when they find whumpee. They're unable to set aside and mask their own emotions for the sake of caring for their loved one.
They freeze up, shocked. They burst into tears. They get squeamish at the sight of blood. They start screaming in horror. If the attacker is anywhere nearby, they focus their energy on hurting that person, instead of helping save their friend.
Imagine spending days, weeks even, searching for someone you love, presuming and dreading the worst. And then you find them, with little to no preparation of what state they were found in. The sudden sharp relief that yes, your loved one is still alive, and the overwhelming terrifying shock of discovering them restrained, beaten, violated, battered.
How could anyone be expected to keep it together?
I am an absolute sucker for a whumpee punishing themselves with the memory of someone they couldn't save.
Bonus points if whumpee actively hallucinates talking to them.
Bonus bonus points if the dead person encourages whumpee to push themselves until they break completely in a way that the real version of them never would, because whumpee uses their memory to push themselves forward, even when that person would have wanted them to rest instead of blame and hurt themselves.
