i think what a lot of people forget is that when youre traumatized before you even develop a personality there is no idea of before. there is no starting point to return to. nothing is familiar, it never has been. i have been broken for as long as i have been consciously alive on this planet. i will never be able to connect with people, i will never feel love without fear. i do not have a home to return to, as my home has been engulfed in flames for as long as i can remember.
