Housing Bug - Auto-timers

Hi everyone! A small heads up / warning! 

There has been some credible proof that some folks are having their houses demo’d outside of the 45-day timer, and others are getting the “Auto demolition Canceled” notice repeatedly even if they have recently stepped foot into their houses. We are not currently certain if this bug is affecting all datacenters ( JP data centers are currently suspended for auto-demo anyway) and folks in the Balmung Housing Alerts! discord are trying to gather more information about it. I would step inside your personal / FC houses anyway just to be certain!

Hello, I’m one of the runners of the housing discord and I’ve been taking point on the community investigation. Right now there are three important things that I’d like to reiterate while we try to find out more

1. The only evidence is a spike in reports. This is not conclusive, but it is worth investigating.

 2. The proportion of players who have checked in fine compared to the reports of housing being wrongly demolished is very large. Players with houses should have nothing to fear. However, it would not hurt to check estate timers (not just the default timer menu) and go into your house and interact with an item every day. 

 3. As people are pooling their resources to investigate, any information that can be offered to the community at large will be helpful. Please screenshot and document the information as thoroughly as possible.

Possibly two of the least appropriate lounge lizards ever to breathe Eorzean air.  The golden gil offers up two of its own to the slings and arrows (and bullets) of popular critique in the hopes that guests will be encouraged vote favorably in the next Mists community meeting.  If you thought this is on the surface, a bad idea, you’d be right, yet, the golden gil decided to go ahead with it anyway.  So…come watch this train wreck and see what these idiots are all about.

Catering to the event provided by BAR SAISEI. 

Event Runner’s Notes:  As it is a public event, there’s a few IC and OOC notes to take! First and foremost, the event is considered a ‘Garlean Friendly’ event for Garlemald citizens and those still residing within Kugane, Shirogane, and the surrounding islands, as well as traveling Eorzeans. 

This means there might be some (understandable) tension between the two factions. Kobun Gardens, as Kugane officials have stated, is neutral ground. No violence will be permitted within the festival space. (Pretty please.) Everyone’s there to watch the show, drink outlandishly, dance too hard and bid a few cheap raffle tickets on overpriced market board items. 

OOCly, if the crowd seems too thick, feel welcome to party up and/or mingle further into the ward! Announcements of upcoming events, running games and raffle cutoffs will all be in /Y. 

The background music playlist & performers sets for the evening may include songs with light/moderate profanity. The DJ music queue will open up to the public after ~2 hours.

This is a summary of college only using two pictures; expensive as hell.

That’s my Sociology “book”. In fact what it is is a piece of paper with codes written on it to allow me to access an electronic version of a book. I was told by my professor that I could not buy any other paperback version, or use another code, so I was left with no option other than buying a piece of paper for over $200. Best part about all this is my professor wrote the books; there’s something hilariously sadistic about that. So I pretty much doled out $200 for a current edition of an online textbook that is no different than an older, paperback edition of the same book for $5; yeah, I checked. My mistake for listening to my professor.

Hey all! When You’ve Got a Cause, You’ve Got to Score – Wrap Up!

First of all, Congratulations to EVERYONE who participated in the Menphina Madness Blitzball Tournament and made it the success it was.  It has been inspiring seeing so many players from across the Balmung RP community come together to create something so positive.  Furthermore, it was incredible to see how that this event has created so many new friendships, RP connections and just how it has really, truly, brought this community together to make it more of a… Well, community.

Now, onto our fundraising report…

For those of you were hoping to hear that we had met our fundraising goal of $500 dollars, I feel that I must inform you all that we did not.  

We more than doubled it.

That’s right.  I am SOO incredibly moved (I was crying last night and not ashamed to admit it) and pleased to inform you that we raised roughly $1,145.00 dollars for Extra Life, with $1095.00 in donations from our pledgers already made.

I wish I could say more right now by how absolutely floored and amazed I am by the community for their generosity, but every time I try to write something, I start getting emotional all over again, so I’ll just say this:

A most heartfelt and sincere THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this effort in any way possible, whether you gave money or didn’t.   THANK YOU SO MUCH.
