I eagerly await this one every week, we’ve started season 2 now and I’m very eager to see how the story progresses. So far it seems the main couple will be Jihoon and Yoojin since Yohan seems more a uke to me. But i’m excited for the progresson of *feelings* as we all know if it starts out steamy, it will turn dreamy. As of right now, no one has developed feelings for each other past the usual, and it seems there’s more to Yoojin’s choices than simply lust. I’m very much excited for this one, the art is pretty, the smut is sexy.

He hasn’t had much luck lately, though, since a handsome face doesn’t always match what’s in a guy’s pants. This might be why he finds himself wondering about his dreamboat boss, Director Park Jiwoon. But there’s no way he can mix business with pleasure… That is, until Jiwoon and Suha run into each other in the gay bar bathroom.

So we’re now on season three of this one, and oh boy this review will be interesting./ Even I’m not sure how I feel about it. The first two seasons were mostly smut, not much else really. Season three has taken a turn in the story, there’s a lot more possessivness, a lot more drama and a lot more worry on my part. I will advise, there is a particular scene in episode 67 that is hard to read. I can handle a lot, yaoi definately does not hold back, but this episode made me so uncomofrtable. I really appreciate the depth korean webcomics bring, I rerlate a lot more to the trials of being lgbt (lesbian here) so when there’s a drug/rape scene in one i’m deeply attached to, I get upset. I will say, nothing actually happened but I felt like crying after everything was through. It was very hard to read, and even now I find myself falling back into the feeling of fear and sadness. Since that episode, nothing like that has happened since. But season three is definately a lot darker then the previous seasons. So keep that in mind, it’s very good and the seme is so cute but its bordering creepy in the current chapters. My hope is that things will work out between our two love interests and they can both communicate and be happy.

The location of these “imprints” is unique to the individual, but the meaning behind the letters is the same. Suha’s happens to be located in a – ahem – very private location. The chances of actually uniting with one’s soulmates is rather slim, but that hasn’t stopped Suha. Not only does he believe he will find his soulmate, but he also refuses to date anyone until then. But lately, his handsome boss, Chef Calix, has had him feeling some feels “down there...” He thought he was alone in these feelings, but the chef has suddenly started showing interest in him. Could the tides be finally changing for innocent Suha?

Another popular one, and rightfully so (again). We’re definitely moving out of smut territory and into feelings territory so you know there's gonna be drama, misunderstandings (there already is!) I won’t give away too much, but if you pick this one up just know, not everything is as it seems (in a good way I promise). this is one of those rare reads where I really worry about the uke physically, there’s just no way he can take that much and not have some serious consequences after (if you get my drift.) This one is very cute, very fluffy and with consent!

Unintentional Love Story: side story (adult edition)

Okay okay, this has to be one of my happiest shares. I have been reading Unintentional love story since like it first came out and it quickly became one of my absolute favorite's, a real treasure so I highly highly recommend reading that and then this one. When I found out the side story's was going to have a spicy version, I was over the moon. The main story is SFW so you can probably understand my excitement. I have to say, the explicitness did not disappoint. I wish we’d had an adult version the entire time but I get why the author would keep it PG. I’m not really gonna go into much more detail, please read the main story, it’s one of my top ten BL’s.

Nothing crazy ever happens to Jooin. He’s just your average college student, keeping his head down and flying under the radar. Yahwi, on the other hand, is drop dead gorgeous, super popular…but also kinda mean. So why has the campus heartthrob taken an interest in a total nobody? There must be an ulterior motive…but it’s hard to care when faced with those killer looks. Will Jooin become a slave to his desires? Or perhaps he’ll become the master himself…

Okay, this is a popular one I know. And for good reason. If you like mean seme, cold and uncommunicative seme’s, this is the one for you! There’s a lot of debate with this one since it’s kind of a love triangle with our sweet little uke and his two polar opposite love interests. The first season is mostly about Jooin x Yahwi, second season delves more into the foreign seme, Cain. Truth be told, this one is getting a little frustrating to read. Spoilers: I’m rooting for Yawhi, he’s much more my type of seme. He’s done some shitty things, very much lacks in the communication dept. However, it’s come to light that his feelings for Jooin are true! They like each other! But I won’t get too much into details, but I really do hope their story progresses some more and Jooin either moves on to Cain or goes back to Yahwi. 

It’s smutty, but the smut is minimal, it’s mostly Yahwi and Jooin arguing haha. Still highly recommend, it’s one I definitely want to keep reading and hope it turns out well.

So this one really surprised me, I wasn’t that interested at first, it felt like another yaoi I would give up on after some time. But surprisingly, I kept coming back for more. If I pay for a comic every episode, than it’s worth it. This one feels like it should only be like ten chapters in yet somehow we’ve made it to 40. What I really like, is when the uke thinks the seme is cheating/sees them with someone else or misunderstands a situation. I eat that shit up I have no idea why. So anytime a comic has that, I go crazy. Most of them do, actually. But anyway, this one is good, we’re going through a bit of a rough patch right now in the current chapters which makes me sad for them, but glad I have some interesting content to read. Also, there’s a second couple that is just, *chefs kiss*. There’s not really much more to talk about, it’s got smut, it’s got drama, a little mystery. I recommend!

Okay, this one is smutty. Like, hella smutty. Like if you hate smut, stay away. This is also very bara smutty. The Uke has like big titties. It’s still new, only has 22 chapters but so far its delightful. I always look forward to this update, and the chapters are really long so I really get my moneys worth. This is is also really funny, the expressions are hilarious so I highly recommend.

Or, well, that’s what they think right up until the moment Inseo kisses Yi-hyeok as a joke that turns into something more, sparking a whole new scorchingly hot relationship between them. It might be pretty funny, really steamy, and a little strange...but they’re still friends. Right? …Right?!

Okay, so this is one I don’t know if I will keep reading. I do recommend it because it has great art, but the author has done some non-con stuff before. But I’m gonna be honest, this one rubs me the wrong way. I really enjoy bara uke’s and I like the miscommunication between the uke and seme, where clearly they both have feelings for each other but they don’t realize it yet. I’m a sucker for miscommunication and unrequited feelings! However, it feels like the seme is just messing around with our pretty naïve uke without taking his feelings into consideration. It only has 24 episodes so I hope they can talk it out soon and understand their feelings before I start getting annoyed haha. I will keep updating my thoughts on this one, but as of now I rate it 7/10 (still high, I know because it is good, the author does tend to do a lot of non-con stuff though so I hope we can steer further away from that)

Okay, that was the Lezhin summary haha. I’ve made a point to purchase almost every chapter because I enjoy it so much. I’m a really big fan of this art style, Yuwon is drawn so pretty and it feels like the relationship between the two is very natural. I feel like I can really understand where Yuwon is coming from in certain situations, the fears he has of being found out, of possibly breaking up their group. I highly recommend this one, its got some angst but its mostly smut. And I promise the smut is worth it.

Here’s a few of my favorite Manhwa/Yaoi that i’ve read over the last few months. There’s so many wonderful ones to list but these are my favorite, in case anyone wanted a recommendation!

I don’t need to go into detail with this one, it was the manhwa that got me into manhwa, it’s such a great starter piece because it’s super sweet and pure and these boys are so gay for each other in the best way possible. Just pure AF feelings, the art is beautiful and progresses super well, just go read it!

This one caught me by surprise, I put off reading it for a very longtime for some reason but once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop…Basically sweet boy Kang Soohwa gets a part time jobat a coffee shop ran by a best boy Yohan who is deaf. Soohwa learns sign language to help communicate with Yohan. But when Yohan speaks, Soohwa gets crazy turned on, Yohan finds this out and “helps” him relieve his stress (lol) and then in turn gets crazy turned on when Soohwa uses sign language. It is crazy adorable and also the sexy scenes are too good for words. Go read it please you will only fall in love

This one is a little on the mean side of Manhwa, so read it with a grain of salt. Dong-gyun is Best Boy who watches BJ Alex like every week and sorta falls in love with him, then meets the boy behind the mask and they start Boning, naturally. Jiwon, the man behind the mask, uses Dong-gyun for sex but is very against developing feelings. He kinda bullies Dong-gyun but the the naughty stuff is very spicy indeed. This is just great to read for the beautiful art style and the use of color in certain panels.

ThIs one is my personal favorite, the relationship depicted between these three is very refreshing and sweet. Kim Jisuh is hired to film an actors personal sex tape. He eventually gets coerced into participating and thus begins the complicated relationship he develops between the two lovers. Really the reason to read it is my baby Sun-Yool, he’s the perfect mixture of sexy bottom and stylish blonde boy. He’s so sweet and very open about his feelings and his love he has for Jisuh. It’s a refreshing take on threesomes, and the complications that come from three people that develop feelings for each other. The art style is beautiful, the story is fresh and sweet and balances sex and story very well.

Ten Count

I feel like everyone has read this, it is very popular but I had to add it. This is the yaoi that made me fall in love with the yaoi world. It has such a beautiful story between two men, and the complications that come with dating someone that has a disorder. Its a slow burn but so worth it. Shirotani has mysophobia (A pathological fear of germs) and he meets Kurose who actually studies mysophobia and tries to help Shirotani to recover from his fear. They fall in love, of course, but I feel like it handles the topic of mental illness very well and is very considerate towards the fact that its not necessarily something that can be “fixed.” Overall a wonderful read and worth the slow burn.

All About Lust

A great story about four boys and their sex lives lol. This is one of my favorite stories about two boys who hate each others guts but start bangin’ and are kinda annoyed by it lol. The second half of the story is so so good and it has such a good bottom, he’s top quality bottom material. Also theres an asexual character who I fell in love with and its such a nice change to have a character that is openly asexual and totally chill with it. Please read this, it’s pure and cute and these boys get it on A LOT.

Dark Heaven

GO READ THIS RIGHT NOW!!! This manhwa made me ball my freakin eyes out it is way too good for words. Basically Simon and Conor are childhood friends/boyfriends. Conor is Japanese in a time of severe discrimination against anyone who isn’t white. The two boys start a band called Dark Heaven and have to deal with the pain of discrimination in all sorts of forms. The story is long, but beautiful. The pain they go through is hard not to relate to in some way. Conor deals with so much he shouldn’t have to just because he’s Japanese and loves a man. The story has murder, sex, drugs, political corruption, and did I mention sex? It has one of the most beautiful relationships i’ve ever read, it made me cry so hard at the end y’all have no idea. Just please trust me on this, go read it, it’s incredible. The art is gorgeous and the sex scenes are next level. The moments between Conor and Simon are so intimate and loving, It made my cold, cold heart melt just a little bit. I could go on and on about how perfect it is but I shall not. Just know these boys deserve the entire world and more and its truly such a masterpiece.
