My OCs world is less of a connected stories and more like, a world where i put my guys in there. They have different loves, interacting with different parts of the world and system . So there isn’t any story that is the ‘main’ one you know, just… depends on who i focus on.

Anyway, in this world; magic is real, there are magical beings, humans use magic. Science and technology evolves alongside those and such and such. The world has a very long history. Just plain fantasy world you know. Gods and demons are also real, but they are not absolute good or evil. They’re like,, beings…
But the main disaster of the world is when a metaphor that contains ~dark~ energy fell down. It consumes magic force of this world to survive. The thing is basically parasites to say the least. It can also manipulate magic and control a host - mostly magical beings. Thats’ how they gain so much power and ended up causing centuries long war. It ends eventually but the parasites aren’t all gone, just weaker. So people still needs to get rid of all of them.
After that, the world was in turmoil. Even without the external threat, the internal conflicts are everywhere. The world truly lost order honestly. Luckily it’s easier to deal with; because with external crisis like that, a supraorganization was formed. So like… un if they have actual power???? So blah blah blah politics for a while. It takes a long while before the world settles again.
So. Ingrid.
I reckon Ingrid wpuld be born during the big war and grew up along side the end of the war. Basically his life was a mess of war and crises and turmoils. However he’s good at fighting and learning, so he was very useful during the war, and was rewarded greatly after the war ended.
Anyway somewhere along the line a God became King. >> I still haven’ fully come up with what he did though. It was probably a lot of good decisions and tons of bad ones because. He’s a god. He doesn’t understand humans.
Anyway things happen and Ingrid joined the rebellion and was assigned to kill the God King. He said good bye, went to the God and killed him.
Fast forward like. 500 years later? He woke up in a lab with lots of sounds beside him. The lights were so bright like ten suns shining into his face. He croaked out for the voice to shut up. The voices shut up - before erupted into a mix of words and not words.
So basically he didn’t die (how? Hmm i wonder) but somehow woke up 500 years later in a research lab. He could speak like 5 languages because war was tough but none of them could understand him clearly. Then he met a linguist who recognises one of the languages. With great difficulty. He could speak 5 languages and 4 of them were dead and another got changed so much he couldn’t understand much of it. But they did manage to communicate.
My favourite part to imagine is this: Ingrid was brought to a research institute specializes in old culture. A lot of the cultures were lost during the war and turmoils after all. So ingrid was constantly surrounded by excited nerds asking him things and putting him there and observing him. He was very confused and so scared but was so brave about it.
I didn’t plan anything much after this lol but it has been so fun thinking about ingrid interacting with things he is not familiar with; mostly peace and quiet. It would be really fun to explore his mental issue to. And thinking of him like this helps me worldbuild so nicely…
Also ingrid is such a joy to draw. I want his gender sometimes but putting him in any clothes is. Mwah. Amazing.
