Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x Reader
With quiet determination, Katsuki stepped into the familiar detention room. His eyes immediately found you, hunched over and halfheartedly sweeping trash across the floor like it had personally wronged you.
A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he watched you mutter under your breath, clearly venting about whatever teacher stuck you here this time.
Leaning his head back, the smirk became a full smile. He covered his mouth with one hand, the other casually tucked into his pocket. That small chuckle of his gave him away.
You whipped around at the sound, eyes brightening in recognition. He stood in the doorway, grinning with a mix of amusement and something else you couldnât quite name.
Your pout came out instantly. âI didnât even do anything this time, I swear...â You gestured dramatically to the mess around you.
Still smiling, Katsuki walked over and plucked the broom from your hand. âIâll sweep. You wipe down the desks.â
With him helping, the work flew by. You tossed the duster aside with exaggerated glee and darted toward your backpack. âOi! Dustâs flying everywhereââ Too late. Katsuki looked up just in time to see you bounding out the door.
âIâm starving! Letâs get Pocky, Kats!â Grumbling, he shoved the duster back onto the chalkboard and jogged after you.
Later, the two of you walked side by side, Pocky sticks in hand. The quiet between you was easyâcomfortable. Katsuki was squinting at the back of the Pocky box like it held secrets, his lashes catching the glow of the streetlights.
âYou good?â he asked, nudging you gently. You nodded but quickly turned your gaze forward, suddenly too aware of how in sync your footsteps were.
âThis guy...â you started, hesitating. âHe asked me out on the way to detention.â
Katsuki went still. Barely noticeableâbut you knew him well enough to catch it. He glanced at you from the corner of his eye, trying to act unaffected.
âDid he force you or something?â he asked, voice stiff. âWhatâs so bad about getting asked out?â
You missed the tension in his jaw. He missed the quiet drop in your expression.
âNothing, I guess... Think I should say yes?â
âIf thatâs what you want,â he muttered, handing you another Pocky stick like it was a peace offering.
After that, everything changed.
He stopped showing up for hangouts. You'd wave from across campusâheâd barely lift a hand in return. Suddenly, he had time for every girl except you. And every time he avoided your eyes, your heart cracked a little more.
What happened?
Katsuki, meanwhile, walked back to his dorm in a stormy mood, the memory of you walking past himâno wave, no smileâburning in his mind.
His phone rang as he stepped inside. Eijiroâs name popped up with a đ§č emoji. âWhat?â he barked.
âIs she with you?â Kirishima sounded rushed. âMina said she left a while ago, but we havenât seen her since. We canât find her anywhere.â
Katsukiâs heart dropped. He didnât even bother locking the door as he tore out of the dorm.
He found you in a karaoke room just two minutes from the bar, wedged uncomfortably between a group of strangers. Your head was slumped, leaning on some guyâs shoulder, your eyes barely open.
Without hesitation, Katsuki shoved the guy aside and caught you as you started to slump forward.
âThe hell, man? Who do you think you are?â the guy snapped, stepping forwardâthen quickly froze under Katsukiâs glare. âAlright, alright, chill... just donât break anything. Itâs expensive.â
Scoffing, Katsuki lifted you into his arms like you weighed nothing and stormed out. You stirred in his hold, eyelids fluttering open. The familiar warmth of his grip made your chest ache.
âKats...â
His gaze dropped to your face, filled with worry. He tightened his arms around you.
Back at his dorm, he gently shut the door and carried you straight to his bed. You blinked slowly, eyes scanning the room before they landed on himâon the fury etched into his face.
âWHAT WERE YOU THINKING?â he snapped. âWhat if I hadnât found you? What if something happened to you while you were that drunk?!â
The alcohol in your system churned uncomfortably. Your head pounded, but worse than that was the sick feeling in your chest. Tears welled in your eyes.
Katsukiâs anger vanished the moment he saw your face crumble. He dropped to his knees in front of you, hands reaching gently for your thighs. âIâm sorry,â he whispered. âLove, I shouldnât have yelledââ
You pushed him away by the shoulders, shaking. âStop it, Kats.â Your voice cracked. âYou donât get to do this.â
His eyes widened in confusion. âWhat...?â
âYou canât just ignore me for weeksâpretend I donât existâand then show up like this, acting like you care again.â Your hand lifted instinctively to his cheek, but you stopped yourself short.
The realisation hit him like a freight train.
âI know,â he murmured, hands reaching for yours. âI know. I was scared. I was stupid. I didnât know what to do. But Iâm sorry. Iâm so damn sorry.â
You broke againâsobs shaking your shoulders, mascara smudging his hoodie as you collapsed into his arms. And just as your body gave in, drifting toward sleep, you heard him whisper, soft as a breath:
âIâm sorry, baby. Iâm so sorry for being an idiot.â
He changed you out of your clothes, dressed you in his hoodie and shorts, and folded your things neatly on the dresser. You slept in his arms for the first time in what felt like forever.
And while you slept, he stared at the ceiling, thinking of all the nights you mustâve cried alone because of him.
The next morning, your head was pounding. You cracked your eyes open and found Katsukiâshirtless, folding laundry at the foot of the bed.
He turned, startled, then quickly grabbed Advil and a cup of water, setting them gently in your hands. You took the pill in silence. He didnât take his eyes off you.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered.
But before you could go on, he leaned down and kissed you. It wasnât softâit was desperate. Honest. You clutched his shirt as he pressed you back into the sheets. He hovered just enough to keep from crushing you, eyes never leaving yours.
âI know,â he whispered. âAnd Iâm sorry too. You have no idea what you do to me, baby.â He kissed down your neck slowly, reverently.
âAnd god,â he murmured, voice low and aching, âdo I love it.â

Pairing Levi Ackerman x Reader
A small bundle, wrapped in soft blankets, rested quietly in the hospital crib. Levi stood at the edge, his body tense but his eyes soft, locked onto the fragile little being in front of him.
"Proof of our love." The thought echoed in his mind as he traced the delicate, perfect features of his newborn daughter, each tiny movement of her hand or foot sending a rush of warmth through him.
He heard you stir next to the crib, waking from the sleep induced by labor. But even though his instincts screamed to check on you, to comfort you, Levi couldnât tear himself away from his daughter.
He was already lost, completely. The moment she entered the world, she had wrapped herself around his heart and made a home there.
He stayed rooted, watching the tiny breaths she took, until the soft sigh of relief from you beside him broke his focus. "Levi... why are you crying?"
The words hit him like a quiet storm. He hadnât realized the tears had already begun to fall, pooling at the edge of his eyes. He quickly wiped them away, his chest tightening, but his gaze remained fixed on the sleeping child.
He heard your voice again, filled with worry, as you began to sit up, a look of concern crossing your face. Without thinking, Levi was at your side, gently pressing you back onto the bed. He didnât notice the wetness on his face, or how much his heart ached.
Images of his mother, worn and tired, filled his mind. The love she had given him, the sacrifices she had made, it all rushed back in a wave of emotion. Slowly, he turned back to his daughter, and then back to you.
"When I was younger..." Leviâs voice faltered, but he pressed on, his hand trembling as he reached for yours. "I used to watch my mother struggle, constantly. I would watch her fight to keep everything together, and I hated myself for it."
You felt the weight of his words, but before you could speak, a tear slipped from his eye, falling quietly onto his cheek. Levi's gaze never left his daughter.
"I used to wish... I wish Iâd never been born." The words shook as he said them, but the soft, heartbreaking honesty in his voice was undeniable. "I thought if I hadnât existed, she wouldnât have had to carry so much... that maybe, just maybe, her life could have been easier."
The air felt heavy between you, but you reached for him, your hand landing gently on his. Before you could say anything, he closed his eyes and exhaled, a tender smile tugging at the corners of his lips. It wasnât a smile of joy, but of understanding, something deeper than happiness.
"I know now," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion, "that it was my existence that kept her going. It was my love, my presence... that gave her the strength to carry on. And Iâ" He paused, squeezing your hand with a tenderness that spoke of the depth of his newfound clarity, "I never truly understood that until now."
You stayed quiet, holding him, the weight of his confession settling between you both. Your eyes met, and for a moment, it was just the three of youâthe family you had built, unspoken but undeniable.
In that quiet room, as the hum of the hospital faded into the background, Levi finally understood that love, in its purest form, wasnât just about sacrifice or suffering. It was about existing for someone, just as they existed for you. And in this moment, with the fragile life of your daughter sleeping peacefully before him, he knew that every tear, every moment of doubt, had led him to this.
He was no longer the boy who wanted to disappear for his motherâs sake. He was the man who would do anything to make sure his daughter never felt that way. And somehow, in that truth, he knewâhe was exactly where he was meant to be.
Exams are so unnecessary. Like, what if I just disappear and start my life without all this time-consuming crap??
Anyways, I have risen from the hell (school) and will be trying to post again and often. No promise though my lovelies, sorry, since school is still on for me and I have out of school studies as well.

Would you guys enjoy that??

Bakugou Katsuki, who absentmindedly starts touching you at random.
Like, youâll be lounging on your bed, mindlessly scrolling through TikTok while Katsuki watches a game on TV, and suddenly, you feel his hands gently massaging your feet. And honestly, this man is incredible with his hands. (đ)
Or imagine this: you're standing in front of the mirror in your closet, calmly putting on your jewelry when he walks up from behind, already finished. His eyes lock onto yours, and before you know it, you feel his hands slide onto your hips. You smile as you feel him squeezing the softness of them, and jokingly push him back so you can grab your shoes. He still follows you around tho with his hands still firmly resting on your hips.
Or maybe youâre just lying on the couch with him, your head resting on his chest as you slowly drift off to sleep. You donât remember when you fell asleep, but you wake up to the sound of Katsuki's phone as he scrolls through it, and the feeling of his hands gently cradling the back of your neck. His fingers slowly move upward, absentmindedly massaging your scalp and nape while he watches boxing matches.
Ugggghhhh, or what about when youâre cooking dinner for the two of you? Youâre standing at the stove, switching between seasoning one pot and checking on another, when you hear Katsuki walk up behind you. He asks if you need help, but you shake your head and smile at him, reassuring him he can just relax. Instead of walking away, though, he sighs dramatically and leans his whole weight onto your back, his hands wrapping around your waist.
"Kats careful I'm gonna burn myself."
"My bad mama."
So, he leans back and rests his head on your shoulder, just watching you cook. His hands move up and down your arms, and whenever you shift to do something, he starts rubbing your side instead.
Katsuki has a degree in being touch-starved, and he doesn't even realise it. But you? You absolutely love it.

One day, you finally decide to join Katsuki at the gym. As soon as Bakugou walks through the doors, the place practically pauses. Everyoneâs eyes are on him, some with smiles, others with admiring glances.
You grin to yourself, pleased to see it wasnât just you who noticed the results of your boyfriendâs hard work. While youâre taking in the gymâs vibe, you hear Katsuki calling your name softly from where the barbells are.
âCome help me with my set.â He gestures over to where heâs standing, and you walk over quickly, eager to join him.
Katsuki plops down onto a bench, grabbing two barbells and setting them on the mat. He sits beside them, waiting with his usual impatient-but-soft expression as you walk over and slide your foot under the barbells.
You start a set of sit-ups, but when you feel Katsuki's hand brush against your thigh, you sit up with a sigh, beads of sweat already making their way down your face.
âGod, Iâm so unfitâŠâ
âYouâre fine, babe.â Katsuki leans forward, grabbing a towel and gently dabbing it across your forehead. âLook at you, though⊠sweating already.â He smirks, then adds, âWanna help me with my push-ups?â
You raise an eyebrow, a teasing smile forming on your lips. âHow am I supposed to help you with your push-ups?â
Katsuki grins, stands up, and walks over to return the barbells to their proper place. When he comes back, he lowers himself into a plank position and shoots you a look.
âSit on my back. Cheer me on.â
You canât help but laugh, crawling toward him with a shake of your head. âYouâre crazy, you know that?â
âYou sure you want to miss this?â He hums, a playful challenge in his tone.
âDo I have a choice?â you tease, but you can't resist. Carefully, you crawl onto his back, crossing your legs and resting your hands gently on his shoulder blades. âOkay, here goesâŠâ You say with mock hesitation, though your heart is fluttering a little.
âHold on tight, baby, or youâll fall,â he grunts, and you feel the slight tension in his body. Slowly, he lowers himself to the floor and pushes back up, without even breaking a sweat.
You sit there, completely entranced, as he picks up his pace effortlessly. The way his muscles flex, the steady rhythm of his push-upsâitâs almost hypnotizing.
âWhereâs my encouragement, baby?â he calls out between reps, smirking.
Caught in the moment, you start whispering praises without even realizing it. âYouâre incredible. Seriously. Look at you.â
âYou better be cheering me on like you mean it,â he teases, not missing a beat.
You chuckle, your heart swelling with admiration, and give him a soft squeeze on his shoulder. âOkay, okay, youâre the strongest guy in here. Happy?â
âGood,â he says with a satisfied grin, pushing himself up again. âNow, donât go falling off. I might need a spotter.â
God, you love your strong boyfriendâand all his ridiculous, charming ways.

It wasn't just a relationship; it was a deep friendship, a sanctuary for your younger selves who never had the chance to simply be young.
"When did we first know we were in love, babe?" your husband would ask, turning from the stove to glance at you.
"I don't know about you, but I knew I loved your father since we were kids. He always waited for me after class in elementary school, such a softie," you would tease, looking at your husband with a soft smile.
"Says you, you were always such a creep, wanting to hold my hand at any chance," he'd reply, a small grin tugging at his lips.
"I think I knew I was in love with your mother when she threatened me for pushing her down the slide too early when we were five."
Even as another small competition arose, the kids couldn't miss the soft look in their parents' eyes. You looked at each other with such fondness, softness, and love. Maybe you both were obsessed with each other, but it was a beautiful obsession.

Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x Reader
Bakugou Katsuki is completely wrapped around his girlfriendâs finger.
Sure, he tries to act all cool and indifferent in front of his friends, pulling off that tough, angry, and mean guy routine. But deep down, this man would melt in a second for his girlfriend. Heâd fall to his knees just to see her smile.
Today, Bakugou Katsuki is out with his friend Kirishima, shopping for Kirishimaâs girlfriendâs birthday party. Why did Katsuki agree to come? Because you were away traveling, and he was utterly bored and lonely without you by his side.
"Hey, have we met before?"
The question didnât even register in his mind. In fact, Katsuki didnât hear it at all. His mind assumed the question was meant for someone else nearby. He was genuinely surprised when, out of nowhere, a woman stepped in front of him with a soft, shy smile.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to say hi while I had the chance."
Katsuki quickly looked to the side, hoping to spot his friend, but to his dismay, he realized he was completely alone in this awkward moment.
"Uh, right," he muttered, cringing inwardly. What the hell? Why am I even talking to her right now?
The woman giggled, her fingers reaching out to place a hand on his chest while she leaned in a little too close, invading his personal space.
"Okay, back up." He shot her a sharp glance and turned to walk away. But just as he did, he heard a voice from behind him.
"Oh, come on. She ainât that pretty for you to turn me, this, down, is she?"
âShe is that pretty, youââ Katsuki grumbled under his breath, shaking his head. He didnât dare say it out loudâafter all, his mom could be lurking nearbyâbut he couldnât help but mutter the insult as he walked away, his heart set on getting back to the one person who mattered.
Three days later, you returned home. The second Katsuki saw you walking toward him at the airport, his whole demeanor softened. The tightness in his shoulders melted away, and a smile so wide spread across his face that it made his heart flutter. Without a second thought, he opened his arms wide, waiting for you to run into them.
"Hi, mama," he whispered, his voice thick with longing.
You rushed into his arms, your legs wrapping around his waist, your arms clinging to his shoulders as if you never wanted to let go. You giggled when you felt Katsuki bury his face in your neck, his warm breath sending shivers down your spine.
"You okay, Kats?" You pulled back slightly to look at his face, your heart fluttering at the lovesick gaze in his eyes. He nodded silently, his usual grumpy nature nowhere to be found. Instead, he gently lowered you back to the ground, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, as if to reassure you that everything was right with the world again.
Kirishima stood a few feet away, laughing quietly at the sight of his best friend. The contrast between the Katsuki whoâd been grumpy and distant while you were gone and the Katsuki who now held you in his armsâradiating nothing but joyâwas impossible to miss. He smiled softly, realizing that there was no one else who could make Katsuki shine like that.
Everyone knew that Bakugou Katsuki was absolutely smittenâutterly, hopelessly in love with you.
Bakugou Katsuki started dating you in his first year of university. Now, three years have passed.
Mina, ever the observer, noticed slight changes in her friendâs demeanor.
"Kiri. Is Bakubro talking to someone?" She leaned against the windowsill of the lecture hall, carefully watching the blonde boy walk calmly off-campus.
"No. Why?" Kirishima slung his bag over his shoulder and walked over to where Mina stood. His eyes followed Bakugou as he walked away, starting to wonder.
Was Bakugou talking to someone? Nah, can't be.
"He seems... calmer?" Kirishima snickered, causing Mina to smile slightly. "Yâknow what I mean. He's just, I donât know, different now."
While the two of them came up with various scenarios, Katsuki himself had just reached his car and was texting you. A small notification pinged on his phone, and the boy smiled, pocketed it, and hopped into his car.
A few weeks later, during a small get-together with the group, Kaminari, drunkenly blurting out random thoughts, caught everyone's attention.
"Heyy, Bakus." Kaminari slung his arm around Bakugou's shoulders, leaning into him. "Come with me on this double date. This cute girl will only go out with me if you come for her friend."
Katsuki sighed at the sight of his childhood friend.
"I canât."
Mina and Kirishima, sitting next to each other, lightly knocked knees, their ears perked up to catch the reason behind his refusal.
"Why not, Bakubro? Itâs a free day. You busy?" Kirishima asked, taking a sip from his cup while keeping an eye on Bakugou, who looked bored.
Bakugou glanced at his phone, which buzzed with another notification. Mina quickly averted her gaze toward the screen, trying to catch a glimpse of the nameâtoo slow to see anything.
Wait, what was that on his back-
"I have a date with my missus."
Bakugou continued texting, unaware of the sudden silence that had fallen over the entire group. All eyes were fixed on his relaxed figure as he typed away.
"YESSSSSSSSSS!" Mina jumped up, fists pumping the air in celebration. Her face lit up with pure joy as Kirishima chuckled beside her, shaking his head.
Katsuki looked up, confused by their reaction. Then he felt a small splatter on his forearm and turned to see Kaminari sitting next to him, his mouth open, spilling his drink.
"YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND??" Kaminari grabbed Bakugou's shoulders, lightly shaking him.
"Yeah, I thought I told you guys that."
Kaminariâs face fell, then he lunged forward and hugged Bakugou while sobbing, "You have a girlfriend!"
"DunceâYou're getting my shirt wet. Bro, get off!" Katsuki was shocked by the reaction of his friends. He glanced around at their expressions before his eyes landed on the entrance to the bar.
"Kaminari, off me." He grabbed his sobbing friend by the shoulder and gently tipped him back. "Move over. Make some space."
Mina whipped her head toward the entrance, gasping loudly.
And there you were, already smiling as you clutched your bag anxiously.
Bakugou stood up and walked over to you, a small smile tugging at his lips. Kirishima scoffed in shock as he heard him greet you.
"Hey, mama. You okay?"
You nodded, leaning forward to kiss his cheek. Katsuki wrapped his arm around your waist and led you toward the booth.
Bakugou Katsuki could be insufferable when it came to going out.
"Kats."
He hums in reply, his eyes slowly drifting from his phone toward you. A small grin spreads across his lips as he notices your annoyed stance.
"Where are my heels?" You plant your hands firmly on your hips, staring him down. "Where did you put them, Kats?"
Bakugou Katsuki eyes trail slowly down your body, the question clearly slipping past his mind. His grin widens, and his eyes lift back up to your chest shirt.
Bakugou Katsuki, with a feigned look of innocence, finally meets your gaze.
"Sorry, what was that, ma?"
You roll your eyes, growing more irritated. To his disappointment, you cross your arms over your chest.
"Where are my heels, Kats?"
Bakugou Katsuki stands up from the couch and walks over to you, pretending to think deeply about whether or not heâs seen your heels today. He hid them.
He wraps his arms around you, pulling you toward him effortlessly. You reluctantly let yourself fall into his embrace, still holding a frown as you look up at him.
Bakugou Katsuki begins fiddling with the hem of your top, his grin never fading.
"I donât know, mama. Why do you need them anyway?"
You sigh, already realizing where this conversation is headed.
He raises his eyebrows as if heâs forgotten your plans, but you know better. He hasnât.
"Whereâd you get your top from?" he asks, dodging the topic entirely.
Your eyes narrow, catching onto his game.
"You bought it for me."
Bakugou Katsuki smirks, his hands sliding up your back to gently cradle the back of your neck.
"Oh, yeah. It looks real good on you, baby. Wanna stay home with me and show me all your other tops?"
You sigh, glancing at your watch and realizing you're already an hour late to the get-together.
Bakugou Katsuki chuckles as you take his hand and lead the way to the bedroom. His hands start to unfasten your skirt, and he silently congratulates himself for getting you to stay home.
Bakugou Katsuki was insufferable when it came to being clueless. You were insufferable for letting him convince you every single time.
Itâs been a month. A whole month since Katsuki and you parted ways.
"FINE THEN! JUST LEAVE, KATS, JUST GO!"
The words echoed in his mind, mingling with the slamming of doors, the heated exchanges, the desperate cries, and the sight of you standing thereâbroken. He sat there now, in the suffocating silence, unable to escape the heavy weight of his own regrets.
Youâ youâwere never the type to complain, and Katsuki wasnât either. Hell, he couldnât even remember what the hell youâd been arguing about in the first place. Was it his endless work hours? No, that didnât sound right.
âWhy do you put so much effort into them when in the end, Iâll be the one broken if you leave, Kats?â
And there it was. That haunting moment finally resurfaced. Katsuki had returned home from a mission, his body still riddled with the remnants of a brutal fight, only to find you waiting for him. The house had never felt colder.
âLove.â
His voice barely reached you, hoarse and worn from the dayâs battles. The moment you saw him standing there in the doorway, your eyes widened in shock. Blood still trickled from his head, his hands clutched his side as though holding in some broken part of himself. Katsuki hadnât gone to the hospital like he shouldâve. He didnât even care. He only wanted to get to youâhe had to see you.
But the moment he stood in the entrance, shoulders hunched, silence blanketing the room, he watched as your face crumbled.
Your eyesâbloodshot red with worryâshattered him. He saw you fight to keep it together, forcing yourself to hide the pain. But it was useless. The dam finally broke, and the flood of emotions poured from you.
âWhy sacrifice yourself for honor when Iâm the one left to torture myself to sleep every night, wondering whether youâll survive?â
The words landed like a punch.
Katsuki felt it deep in his chest, as though his heart cracked open right there. You continued, your voice trembling as the anguish bled into each word.
âWhatâs the point of honor if you end up dead one day, Kats? What about me? What do I do if you donât come back?â
He felt the full weight of your despair crash over him. No mission, no fight could ever compare to the toll it took on him to see you in this stateâhelpless, broken.
Out of every battle heâd ever fought, every war heâd endured, this was the one he could never win. Donât misunderstand him. His heart belonged to you. It always had. But in that moment, overwhelmed by the exhaustion of his mind and body, Katsuki made a decision he would never, ever forgive himself for.
âThen move on. Not everything is about you, okay?â
Fool. Fool. FOOL.
His head fell into his hands as he replayed those words, as if the regret itself might crush him. Your eyesâwide with disbeliefâstill haunted him. He could see you, then, how you slowly pulled away, how you shut yourself off from him. The pain of it was unbearable.
Your scoffâthat scoffârang in his ears, relentless.
âYour right. How selfish of me.â
You stepped closer to him then, hands clenched so tightly together that your knuckles turned white, but you held his gaze, unflinching.
âBut itâs pretty selfish of you to propose to me if in the end, your loyalty isnât mine.â
His fists clenched in response. The words stung, sharper than any blow heâd ever taken.
âEnough of this. Iâm tired.â
He tried to end it, his voice strained, as though the very act of speaking was pulling at the last of his strength. But youâno, you werenât done.
âNO! HOW CAN YOU IGNORE MY PAIN? TELL ME, KATSUKI, WHY MARRY ME AND PROMISE A FUTURE OF HAPPINESS WHEN I HAVE TO BE HAUNTED WITH YOUR LACK OF PRESENCE?â
Tears filled your eyes, but you forced yourself to hold them back. He could see itâsee the battle you were fighting within yourself to remain strong.
âI SAID ENOUGH! YOU KNOW VERY WELL WHAT MY JOB REQUIRES OF ME! MY LOYALTY IS TO THE PEOPLE, TO THEIR SAFETY! I MUST SUPPLY THEIR HAPPINESS AND FUTURES!â
âAND WHAT OF MINE?â
That one questionâthe one that cut deeper than anything elseâstill haunted him. It looped endlessly in his mind, a cruel reminder of his failures.
His loyalty had always been to the people. But in that moment, Katsuki had forgotten. Heâd forgotten what really mattered. His loyalty as a husband, as a personâheâd abandoned it all in the name of duty. Heâd forgotten you.
Mitsuki's heart shattered as she watched her son, Katsuki, slowly come to a painful realization. He was fallingâand he was falling hard. The kind of fall that wasn't just physical, but a soul-deep, inevitable descent into love.
Katsuki Bakugou's heart ached for you in a way that felt almost cruel, like a wound that wouldn't heal. Heâd loved you since he was five, though he hadn't even known it until he was thirteen. At night, he lay awake, the weight of his feelings a constant pressure on his chest, drowning in thoughts of you. His mind was consumed with you, a curse he couldn't shake.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
His motherâs voice pulled him from his spiraling thoughts. She stood in the doorway, her face soft but tinged with concern. The tenderness in her gaze made Katsukiâs chest tighten, the vulnerability of the moment unbearable.
"Mum, how did youâ"
Katsuki stopped himself, suddenly overwhelmed. He dropped his gaze to the floor, feeling exposed, small, standing defenseless in his own room. His mother smiled, a quiet understanding in her eyes as she moved to sit beside him, patting the bed beside her.
"How did you know you loved Dad, Mum?"
Katsukiâs face flushed deep crimson, not from embarrassment, but from the slow, dawning awareness that struck him like a bolt of lightning. The words tasted like truth on his tongue, even if they terrified him.
"Love, huh?" Mitsukiâs smile softened, her eyes filled with a warmth that only a mother could give. "Itâs a powerful word. A heavy one." She paused, her gaze never leaving his face. "I knew I loved your father when all I could think about was seeing him again, every single day. When I realized I couldnât imagine my life without him in it."
Katsukiâs breath caught as he finally lifted his head, meeting his motherâs gaze. The look in his eyesâthe way they mirrored the same raw, unguarded emotion Mitsuki had once feltâbroke her heart.
Katsukiâs gaze flickered to the window, his mind replaying the image of you, your smiling face floating in his thoughts, unbidden and impossible to ignore.
"Thanks, Mum," he murmured, his voice thick with the weight of everything unsaid.
Mitsuki stood, her heart aching, but she said nothing. She walked over to the window, her hand brushing the edge of the sill as her eyes absently scanned the clock.
"Sleep, youâve got school tomorrow."
Katsuki nodded, but the words felt distant, a fog surrounding him as he crawled beneath the covers. He faced the wall, but sleep would not come. His mind was alive with thoughts of you. Only you. Nothing else mattered.
As Mitsuki turned to leave, she paused at the door, her heart heavy. She whispered a silent prayer to herself, the words slipping out in a quiet rush.
"Lord, please look after my boy. Protect that girl... and whatever the future holds for them."
With a final, lingering glance at her son, Mitsuki closed the door softly behind her. As she walked back to her room, her thoughts turned to youâthe girl who had so quietly and firmly wrapped herself around Katsukiâs heart. If he did choose to love you, at least she would know youâd keep him safe.
