From a couple of weeks ago but I have absolutely no idea how it happened, I did the jump and suddenly fell through the ground and ended up like this. Thankfully it corrected itself once I restarted the race and hasn’t happened again since.

Re: Old horse models

Sso please just update all the horses in the game. Even the ones that have already been bought. Because pretty soon, people are gonna whine about the fact that they can’t put Linda’s saddle on their gen1 horse.

And a lot of the things the fanbase is asking for would probably only work on the new models: more diverse tack, a proper leading function, sleighs, etc, etc, etc.

There would probably even be quests or races that require a horse that has a new model.

The old models are only slowing the game down, they stick out like a sore thumb amidst the new terrain and horses. So please, pretty pretty please, remove the old models.

I say get rid of them altogether and compensate the full SC price paid back to each player or auto update them once they're revamped like with out Jorvik Warmbloods and allow them to swap coats.

That said I think I only have three or four of the oldest ones like my Tinker and Dutch warmblood so I get the nostalgia but something's gotta give

As you may have seen, @centeris2 made a post about the implications of the MC being female exclusive. And I’ve made some comments myself about SSO’s relationship with feminism. So let’s revisit that topic real quick.

to reiterate and agree: it’s one thing (and a perfectly fine thing!) to have a set gender for the main character. But when the story starts with “Lady because Story Reasons! Sisterhood!” and later says “actually there is no reason for it to be a set gender, it’s the soul that matters” it…. loses support and weight to their choice.

One way SSO can (and in several instances does) have good lady representation: just have realistic human women characters. Lots of them. Sigry is a good example of this, as we see her grow into a leadership role.

Which leads to an example of ‘maybe what not to do’ that has been gradually making me more frustrated as time goes on: Jack and Jill Goldspur.

star stable, except whenever your horse dies from impact and you end up back where you were unscathed, that was actually you having a moon vision premonition of you making that mistake that would lead to your horses horrific death including the visceral sound of your horse screaming, and after you respawn in your previous location this dialogue box from your horse pops up in the bottom corner
