I’m pretty sure we’ve had a masterpost in the past that people would link to whenever someone new joined the community which was incredibly helpful, but it’s pretty outdated.

This post is not an attack. This post is simply a mirror. It is full of love and understanding for the people I hold that mirror up to, because I think everyone in this community is a good and wonderful person. I want you to have a happy, safe experience here, however I think this is something that should be added to the conversation.

For years we’ve made “Alex Cloudmill is gay” content. For years we’ve fought and come together as a community when someone says “LGBTQ has nothing to do with Star Stable online”. We bullied someone off of the platform because they said “Why do you people have to make everything gay when it’s just a game about horses and magic”. 

If people want to make and reblog content relevant to the world today, they can. Just because the fight was easier to face when it was your minority being targeted does not mean you get to turn away and claim this is a space free of politics now that we’re fighting for something else.

On an individual level, I understand that this is stressful. I see your personal struggles, and I send all the love I have to offer and I hope we get through this. No one is thriving in this environment. But you fought so valiantly to make LGBTQ voices heard that, in whatever way POC chose to speak up, you should listen to them. At the very least, you should not tell them to be silent.
