Coltland gentry AU where Grace is chatting with Carl and casually mentions he has a brother who's a government agent too, and Carl is like oh what department and Grace, absorbed in his work while talking and not paying attention and totally forgetting you know, the SECRET, just blurts out "Oh he's a Sierra, he's Six."
And Carl's jaw just drops and is suddenly very aware of the gun in his own pocket and starts glancing around like a nervous jumpy cat like Six is gonna jump out of the walls at him at any moment because if Six finds out what his brother is involved with and...what that might mean if things go wrong...holy shit!
And that's exactly what happens, Grace gets sent to space against his will and there's a damn firing match through the halls Carl trying to protect Stratt and get her to safety as Grace's big brother comes charging through the complex and bursts into Stratts office, and Carl is in front of her pointing his gun at a bloody and very pissed off Courtland who is pointing his own gun right back at him and breathing heavily,
"Where the fuck is Ryland??!!"

Raven follows him onto the plane, keeping her head low and avoiding looking at anyone other than Six.
She sits down and tucks her bag under the seat. She leans back into the seat, tucking her hand into her pockets to keep her hands warm.
She watches as he opens what she assumes is the case information packet, looking away when she feels one of the security men watching her as the plane door closes.
She turns in her chair to face him. "If I'm honest a little nervous, I've never been on a plane before, let alone one as fancy feeling as this one." She picks at a lose thread on the cuff of her hoodie. Her stomach dropping as the plane takes off. She had never liked the feeling of roller-coasters and this was a very similar feeling.

Six places a gentle hand on Raven’s shoulder as he looks into her eyes. “I know this situation is daunting, and I’m sorry you have to be in it,” he whispers. “But I’m not gonna let anything happen to you, alright?”
As the plane flies towards their destination Six keeps his head on a swivel, watching Raven and the security personnel. Usually he’d use this time to sleep, but he’s not going to risk that with Raven here. Who knows what those men might try should he not be alert.

When Raven had awoken that morning there had been no indication that the carefully built life she had constructed would be tipped on it's head. It was supposed to be a normal day, a few chores, grab a coffee and head into work.
The morning went as usual, she picked up some groceries, payed her rent and headed to the Cafe a block away from her work. She even managed to score a free cookie after someone else took her coffee.
She loved her job, even if her friends said that working as a museum tour guide was a waste of her degree. She punched in, checked her schedule and prepared for the day. She had a tour group coming in today that wasn't her usual clientele. According to the schedule today's group was for a charity event, multiple high profile wealthy donors wanted to have a guide show them all the history they were putting money into.
She always hated these groups, self important rich people who didn't really care about the history they were being shown. Plus there was so much that could go wrong with high profile groups like this.
She shoved her bag into her locker and pinned her name tag onto her cardigan with a sigh. Today was bound to feel much longer than it actually was.
Six sighs as he places the sticker with his 'name' on it to his suit jacket. It's an alias, of course, and quite a forgettable one at that. John. Like John Doe - clever, right?
He doesn't think so. Then again, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that he gets this op done. It's lucky for him that his target bought out the museum for the day, so there will be less risk for civilian casualties. The only civilians present will be the workers. As far as he knows the entire tour group is in on this deal.
He manages to weave his way into the tour group, the people present not even batting an eye at him. Good.
He inspects them as they walk into the building, all with name tags of their own. All aliases, of course. He quickly spots his target, a man named Lars Samson - though his name tag reads 'Josh'. Another forgettable name.
They all head further into the building, Six hanging off a little to the side so he can keep an eye on them all, see when Lars attempts to make the exchange. When they meet up with their tour guide - Raven, is what her name tag says - he spares her a quick glance before turning his attention to the museum, scoping out all the possible escape routes.
Time to get this show on the road.
Six keeps up with the group as Raven leads them through the museum, though he’s not really paying attention to the exhibits. He’s paying attention to the group and the layout of the museum, mapping out more escape routes. Can’t have too many.
He notices how Raven keeps glancing at him, and at a certain point it starts making him nervous. Is she in on the deal too? Does she know who he is? He can’t have her blowing his cover. So he starts keeping an eye on her too.
If only he had more eyes.
When lunch rolls around Six decides to at least get himself a sandwich. No telling when the next time he’ll be able to eat is, especially if the op goes south.
He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.
Six sets the rest of his sandwich down and stands up, inconspicuously slipping a knife from his pocket. He walks up behind Lars, pressing the knife against his back as he places his free hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Hey, Josh right? Can you come with me, I just wanted to talk for a second,” Six says as he smiles at the rest of the group, trying to seem friendly.
Now, here’s how he’s hoping this will go: Lars does as he asks, just stands and follows him out of sight and earshot. He gives Six the asset and Six kills him. Easy peasy.
But, his hopes never tend to come true. So this is what happens instead:
Lars swiftly gets up and tries landing a right-hook on Six, which Six deflects effortlessly. He plunges his knife into Lars’s chest and snatches the asset — a necklace, which surely has a drive hidden in it — from his hand.
Now here comes the rest of the group. Six takes his knife and hurls it at the person closest to him, a man who had drawn a gun from his belt, and it lands right in his eye. His finger twitches and the gun in his hand fires, thankfully taking out the guy right beside him.
Six draws his own gun and is prepared to make a run for it, but then he sees a woman about to shoot Raven — trying to take out any eyewitnesses it seems.
He makes a dash for Raven, tackling her to the ground right as the woman shoots. Shielding her with his body, Six rolls and shoots the woman in the head. Her body falls as Six stands and helps Raven up onto her feet. After giving her a quick once over to make sure she’s okay he takes off.
Thankfully for Raven the rest of the group follows him. He takes care of them before getting in his car and speeding off towards his safe house, the asset tucked in his pocket.
On the way to the safe house Six hands the necklace off to an acquaintance who will ensure it makes it to his higher-ups.
There. Now he can go and rest. Thankfully he didn’t sustain many injuries, the worst of it may be some bruised ribs. He pulls into the garage, shutting off the car as the door shuts. He makes his way into the house, groaning as he slowly removes his suit jacket and tosses it aside.
Six is about to just crash on the couch when he spots something out the front window — a bike. A bike that wasn’t there when he left. He hears the door open.. either he didn’t lock it when he left, or this person knows how to lock pick.
He slips his handgun from the waist of his pants and grips it, slowly making his way towards the door. He comes across the person — a woman, her back facing him — and raises his gun, leveling it with her head.
“Tell me who you are and why you’re here, or I’ll shoot,” Six orders as he places his finger on the trigger.
Raven drops her bike, letting it lean against the front window. Her brain screams at her to stop, to leave and go home, but her feet carry her towards the front door.
She raises her hand to knock at the door, her movement haulting when she sees that the door is slightly ajar. Her heart pounds in her chest, with the fighting skills she saw him exhibit earlier she doubts he would be the type to just leave his front door open. She panics, she didn't see him get hurt but what if he did?
She pushes the door open, slowly walking down the hall, the house looks too normal, too suburban. Too manufactured. The photos hanging on the walls have a stock photo family smiling too wide.
She swivels around quickly at his voice, eyes growing wide with fear as she, for the second time today, stares down the barrel of a gun.
"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

Six’s brows furrow when she calls him ‘Court’ — aside from his brother and Fitz, not many people know his real name. He stands there for a few moments, gun still pointed at the woman as he tries to remember who she is.
Then it hits him. His eyes widen as he removes his finger from the trigger and holsters his gun. He moves past her and slams the door shut, locking it.
“Sarah? What the hell are you doing here?! Why’d you follow me?!” He exclaims as he walks up to her.
This is not good. For either of them. God forbid someone saw her and followed her..
He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.
Six sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face Raven. “Okay, Raven, got it.” He removes his gun from his waistband and sets it on a side table before he begins pacing around the room.
While he now remembers who Raven is, he’s still wary around her. It’s been over 15 years after all. He’s not used to being referred to by his first name nowadays. It feels wrong. And he can’t risk it being overheard.
“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”
Six sighs, rubbing a hand over his face before he sits down on a chair across from Raven. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”
Six merely nods, still not looking at Raven. It’s been a while since he thought about his little brothers. Not because he wants to forget about them or abandon them completely, he doesn’t. Far from it.
He’s just afraid that the more he thinks about them, the more tempted he’ll be to go and see them. And that would put them in danger.
So he shoves them out of his mind. Again.
Six returns his gaze to Raven as he leans forward in his chair, chuckling at her comparing him to the winter soldier. “Yeah, I’m not a super human and I’m not a nazi.”
He stands, walking up to Raven and kneeling in front of her on the floor. He places a gentle hand on her shoulder, hoping that the gesture is comforting. “You won’t be able to go back to your normal life, no. But so long as I’m here, you do stand a chance of making it out alive. I’ll protect you, I swear it. I’m the reason you’re in this mess after all.”
Six sighs as he stands, letting his hand fall from Raven’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.. yeah, I suppose you do live here now. I can escort you to your place though so you can grab anything you need.”
He chuckles, though the expression doesn’t hold much amusement. “I still wouldn’t count yourself lucky. I’m not good company.” He walks over to the side table where his handgun is and picks it up, slipping it into his waistband and hiding it with his suit jacket. “Ready to go? It’s better we get this done sooner rather than later.”
She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I don't have much stuff so I won't take too long to grab what I need. Do you wanna come in with me or should I just meet you back out here once I'm packed?" Her eyes focus out the car window as she speaks, watching as they pull into the parking garage of her shabby apartment building.

“I’ll go with you. There could be someone in your apartment,” Six says as he gets out of the car. He follows Raven up to her apartment, holding his arm out in front of her to stop her from walking when he sees that her door is slightly ajar. He motions for her to stay put as he slips his handgun from his waistband, gripping it while he slowly opens up the door.
“Stay put,” he mutters to Raven before he steps inside, sweeping the room to make sure it’s clear. Unfortunately for both of them, it isn’t.
A man charges at Six, wrapping his arms around his midsection to try and get him to the ground, and the force of the impact causes Six to drop his gun.
He slams his elbows down into the man’s back and gets him to let go. He uses the opening to land a kick to his jaw, but unfortunately it doesn’t phase the man as much as he was hoping it would.
The man brings out a knife and begins swiping at Six, and he manages to dodge the attacks. He tries to land a punch, but the man catches his arm and grips it, swiftly plunging his knife into Six’s side.
Six groans and headbuts the man, which makes him to let go of his arm and stagger back. Six swiftly yanks the knife out of his side snd stabs the man in the heart.
His body drops as Six presses a hand to his wound and turns to face Raven. “Get your stuff. Be quick.”
Raven stands in the hallways, back pressed to the wall as she hears the sound of knuckles hitting flesh. Her instinct is to call out to ask six if he's alright but she shows she can't.
Her resolve to stay hidden breaks however when she sees Six's gun slide across the floor into the hallway. She hastily grabs it and raises it up as she peers around the door. She hoped like he'll she wouldn't have to use it, she had never so much as even killed a spider before but she wasn't going to let six die without a fight.
She stands in the doorway, breathing choppy as she holds the gun up infront of her. Her hands shake as she lowers the gun again when she sees that the threat is currently bleeding out on the floor.
Her figure stays eerily still as her eyes glaze over, she had seen a dead person before today, and the woman at the museum hadn't been close enough for her to see the light leave her eyes like this man was.
She blinks owlishly before snapping back into focus as he calmly and gently takes the gun from her hands. Nodding at his instructions and hurrying toward her room to back a go bag.
Her breathing is still uneven as she rushes to shove only the bare necessities into a duffle bag. Clothes? Check. Toiletries? Check. Phone charger? Check. Laptop and charger? Check. The last thing she grabs she shoves to the very bottom of the bag, a battered old shoes box. The box contains the last few good pieces of her childhood. Logically she knows that the space in the bag would be better used for more practical supplies but this is all she has left of the times before the abuse started.
She closes the bag with an echoing zip sounds and slings it over her shoulder before rushing out to meet six in her now blood soaked living room. "I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

Six nods and hurries out of the apartment with Raven, rushing with her back to his car. He hisses through gritted teeth as he puts his seatbelt on, the fabric digging into his wound.
They speed off back to the safe house, and as soon as they’re secure in the closed garage Six stumbles out of his car and into the house, making a beeline for the bathroom. While he really would’ve rather just helped Raven inside and talked to her — he could see how she was dissociating — he needs to get his bleeding under control.
Sounds of cabinet doors slamming and groaning can be heard as Six pulls a first aid kit from under the sink and takes his suit jacket off. He peels off his blood-soaked shirt and inspects his wound, prodding at it with his fingers. Seems like the assailant missed his liver and kidney, thank god. All he has to do is stitch it and wrap it.
Raven holds her bag in her arms in the car, her brain feels like it's trying to swim through syrup. Her mind vaguely recognising his hiss of pain but not working quick enough to ask him about it before he's rushing into the house.
Her movements are slow as she gets put if the car, her brain only speeding up again when she sees the trail of blood following after Six. Her body speeds up and quickly follows him, chucking her bag onto the couch after making sure the lock on the door was fixed in place.
She follows the trail of blood drops to the bathroom door. "Six? Are you hurt?" Her voice is tense, frayed thin with worry. "Please let me in so I can help you." She attempts to open the bathroom door, finding it locked.

Six grits his teeth as he starts stitching up his wound, his eyes flicking to the door when he hears Raven speak. He shakes his head, though he knows Raven can’t see him. “It’s okay, you’ve seen enough blood for one day. I can stitch this up myself,” he says as he continues stitching, his breathing labored.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head to make himself more alert. He can’t afford to pass out in the middle of stitching his wound.
Six sighs, his head hanging low. He nods again. “Alright. Yeah, I’ll keep talking,” he says before continuing to stitch up his wound.
“I recall earlier you said you used to wish to see me again after you had run away. Why’s that?” He recalls being nice to her, but aside from just being decent around her he can’t say why she’d ever think about him after she ran away. Especially after he wound up in prison.
When he finishes stitching up his wound he cuts the suture and places a gauze pad over the wound before wrapping his midsection with self-adherent compression bandage.
“There, I’m done,” he says before unlocking and opening the door, still breathing heavily as he leans on the doorframe. He doesn’t bother putting his shirt back on, given that it’s a blood-soaked mess.
Six merely listens as Raven talks about her past. How he was there for her…
He begins walking towards the living room and gestures for her to follow. “There’s no way I could forget any of that. You always deserved better. You never deserved any of what that bastard did to you. I try not to think about it though, because it just.. makes me angry,” he says as he slowly sits down on the couch, groaning.
When Raven sits beside him he turns his head to look at her. “While I did miss you, I was glad you left. It was the only way for you to be safe.” He sighs, falling back against the couch and resting his head back on it, looming away from her. “Seems like I’ve messed that up for you now though.”
Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”
He doesn’t pull away when Raven rests her head on his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arm around her waist, holding her close. He hopes the gesture is comforting.
“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”
Six sighs, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Raven. “You would’ve had to wait a long time. I wasn’t eligible for parole until 2031.”
He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
It takes a while, but eventually sleep pulls Six under.

Six and Raven are running, running, running. They’re being shot at. Six orders Raven to keep going while he takes care of the assailants behind them. With two quick shots they’re down and he turns back around to start catching up with Raven.
He starts running towards her. She gets grabbed. She’s held up against a man with a knife to her throat.
Six’s feet rapidly pound against the ground as he sprints forward. He can’t risk shooting with her in front of him. So he has to get to her fast.
He’s trying. He’s really trying — but he’s not fast enough. Raven’s body falls and—
Six jolts up when Raven wakes him, instinctively reaching for his pistol. When he sees it’s just Raven he sets it back down with a sigh and sits up on the couch.
“I’m sorry,” he murmurs softly to Raven before he picks up his phone.
He answers the call, pressing his phone up to his ear as he stands up off the couch and heads into the other room.
Six returns in a few minutes and tosses his phone on the couch before he places his hands on the back of it. His head is hanging low as he grips onto the couch, the wooden frame creaking from the force being put on it.
“They need me in Bangkok,” he says, head still down.
“There’s only one thing I’m used for, Raven, and you witnessed it yesterday,” Six mutters before turning and heading into the kitchen.
He returns moments later with a mug of steaming black coffee, which he immediately starts drinking. The burn hasn’t phased him in ages.
He returns to the couch and is about to sit down, but he decides to stretch his back out a bit first. He sets down his mug and begins to do just that, but then he suddenly freezes and groans, one of his hands flying to press against his bandaged wound.
“Goddamnit,” Six swears through gritted teeth before he starts making his way toward the bathroom.
Six sighs as he sits down. “Alright,” he grumbles before beginning to unwrap his bandages. Once he’s got it all unwrapped he balls the bandage up and tosses it in the trash can.
He slowly peels off the blood-soaked gauze, revealing his popped stitches. “Fucking hell. Guess I stitched it up too tight,” he mutters mostly to himself as he looks down at the wound.
Six lifts his head up to look at Raven. “I’m not sure if you’ve ever stitched a wound before, but I can guide you through it. You’ll just have to cut and remove the rest of the old stitches first.”
Six nods his head. "Guess you know what you're doing then."
He sits still and listens to Raven talk while she fixes up his wound, not saying much in return himself. He's never been much of a talker. He nods again once she's done. "Alright, thank you. But we need to get going now. Like I said, they need me in Bangkok," he says to Raven as he stands up.
He heads into his room and puts on a t-shirt, a new pair of pants, and a jacket before he walks into the living room. He picks up his now lukewarm coffee and chugs it.
Six sighs and sets his empty mug down when he sees his phone lighting up - 'Boss' again. "Six here."
"Six, why is your ass not on a plane right now?"
Six grits his teeth as he tightens his grip on his phone. His tone remains steady as he speaks. "I'm sorry sir, I just had to patch up a wound I sustained from the previous op." He can hear the man on the other line grumble irately.
"Well if you can still shoot and walk, then you're fine. Get your ass to Bangkok ASAP."
Six's free hand balls up into a fist. "I'm on it sir." And then the call is ended. Six curses under his breath as he slips his phone into his pocket. He has no idea how he's going to manage keep Raven's presence unknown to his higher-ups, nor how he's going to keep her safe while he runs his op. But he'll just have to figure it out won't he?
“I’m ready,” Six says as he zips up his jacket. He doesn’t have anything on him besides his phone and the clothes on his back. They give him everything he needs on the plane, besides the weapons. Those he gets when he arrives at the op.
He gestures for Raven to follow him into the garage and he opens the passenger door of the car for her, sliding into his own seat once she’s secured in hers. They speed off to a private airport, where a sleek white jet is waiting.
Six’s jaw clenches as he puts the car in park. “Here, put these on and put your hood up,” he says as he hands her a pair of dark sunglasses. “And stay quiet, let me do the talking.”
He closes his eyes and takes in a deep, steadying breath before he opens his eyes and turns his head to look at Raven. “You ready?”
Six leads the way onto the plane, glancing at the crew present. He notices one of them look at Raven, the man’s brows furrowing. When he opens his mouth to presumably ask who she is the look Six gives him makes him promptly shut it.
Six gestures for Raven to take a seat and sits down beside her. As the engines begin to start up one of the crew brings Six a folder containing everything he needs.
He opens it up and a passport, ID, and a set of car keys fall into his lap. He glances at the name present on the ID before pocketing everything and turning his attention to the paper pinned to the folder.
It’s a very brief description of the op and his target, code name Dining Car. A rogue CIA agent apparently heading to Bangkok to sell information that could threaten national security.
The plane begins to take off, and Six sets aside the folder before turning his attention to Raven. “How’re you holding up?” He whispers to her.
Colt! How’s my baby brother doing? Say, is Tom Ryder out of prison yet? I’d really like to talk to him.

Oh, hey, Court! I'm doing... uh... interestingly, but overall pretty good. And, no, I don't think he's out yet... What exactly do you mean by 'talk to him'?
Good, that’s good. Hm. That’s a shame. I mean, he deserves to be locked up for life. But I just wanted to help him understand how you felt after the ‘accident’.
Right. Well, hypothetically, if I had the name of the prison he's staying at, I could hypothetically give it to you. *slowly slides over a piece of paper with the name scrawled on it* Hypothetically, of course.
Six briefly glances at the paper before taking it and stuffing it in his pocket. “Of course. Hypothetically.” He stands, straightening his jacket.
“I’ll be back Colt.”
Without another word he leaves Colt’s place, off to take care of this hypothetical business.
He comes back hours later, knuckles and face bruised and bloody, one hand pressed under his right pectoral. “I’m pleased to report that Ryder now understands how you felt, Colt,” he says before plopping down onto Colt’s couch, groaning.
Colt blinks as Six actually gets up and leaves, leaving his younger brother properly perplexed. Was he... actually going to go deal with Ryder? Nah, he wouldn't... right? Colt eventually decides that he wouldn't mind that.
He is in his kitchen, finishing up a little dinner for himself when Court walks back in. He immediately hones in on how battered the other man is, which makes him follow him into the living room.
"Jeez, Court," he laughs slightly. "I seriously can't tell who won that fight."
Six glares at Colt as he leans back against the couch. “I did, of course. This isn’t all from Ryder — I had to deal with some guards too.”
He lets his head fall back against the couch as he shuts his eyes, sighing. “What’re you cooking Colt? Smells good.”
"I figured that, Ryder's too much of a coward to land all those blows." He inspects Court for a second, making sure there was no intense bleeding before looking back into the kitchen.
"Oh, it's just some potatoes and chicken. I'll make you a plate, you look like you need it." He disappears back into the next room and came back a few minutes later with two plates and an ice pack.
He sits down next to Court, handing over the ice and his share of the food. "Use this to keep down the swollen. You can't afford to look any uglier," he jokes.
Six laughs, groaning when the action makes his ribs hurt. “You’ve got that right. Didn’t take long for him to start begging.”
He nods. “I guess I do. Thanks Colt.”
He sits up when he sees Colt come back with the food, taking the plate and the ice pack with a nod. He rolls his eyes, chuckling at his brother’s joke as he presses the ice pack to his face. “We’re practically identical asshole,” he jokes back, flashing a smile at Colt before he begins eating.
"Sure, but I'm definitely the hotter brother," he jokes. He settles back into the couch before he starts eating, too, digging happily into his food. Really, it was the first time in days since he made himself a proper meal.
He practically inhales all of it and sets his plate down on the coffee table. He leans his head against the spine of the sofa and sighs heavily.
"God, my back's been killing me," he groans as a wave of pain flooded through his shoulders.
Six chuckles, rolling his eyes again. “Sure. Keep telling yourself that.”
He finishes his food soon after Colt and sets his fork down, leaning back against the couch. He turns his head to look at his brother, brows furrowed with concern. “Old injury flaring up again? Need me to get something for you?” He asks as he sits up, groaning.
He waves off Court's concerns. "Don't act like you can get up," he teases. He arches into a stretch, wincing as his spine crackles and pops with pain, but it ends up being enough for him to rest comfortably into the sofa.
He grabs the blanket that is folded up on the arm of the couch and drapes it over himself. While he did pay his heating bill for that month, it didn't mean it was exceptionally helpful.
"Did you come over for any other reason besides beating Ryder to a pulp?"
Six chuckles and shrugs, lying back against the couch. He sighs, crossing his arms over his chest as he rests his head on the spine of the couch. “I also just wanted to see you. It’s been a while after all.. nice to see family after all the crap I’ve been doing.”
He sighs again, shutting his eyes. He says nothing for a few long moments and then opens his eyes, slowly and reluctantly getting up off the couch. “I wish I could stay longer. But I gotta go — don’t wanna get you into any trouble.”
"Woah, hey!" Colt yelps before reaching out to grab Court's arm. There is a determined look on his face that should tell Court everything he needs to know-- Colt is very determined to keep them there.
"Don't even think about it. You just got beat up, you could barely walk when you came in here! At least stay for a little while. Like, until you can actually move properly."
He nods to the inconspicuous coffee table. "I have a gun in the drawer of that coffee table, so if anyone shows up, it'll be fine. C'mon, Court."
Six sighs and looks down at his brother. He’s never been able to say no to him or Ryland. “Alright,” he relents, sitting back down on the couch.
He glances over at the coffee table, briefly wondering what gun Colt has stored in there. A Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 10mm? A Ruger 5.7? A Beretta M9? So many options. Not all of them good however.
“Since you want me to stay so bad, mind if I spend the night? I could really use a comfortable place to sleep.”
Colt grins triumphantly when Court sinks back into his sofa. He likes when being a stubborn brat works out in his favour.
"Yeah, of course. I got a spare bedroom that you can crash in," he says before standing up. He stretches out his permanently stiff back so that he can move around a bit more comfortably.
"Hold on, let me go set it up."
Six rolls his eyes, chuckling.
He hakes his head as he grabs Colt’s arm, holding him in place. “No need, I’ll just sleep on the couch. If someone breaks in I’ll be able to take care of it right away. They won’t have a chance of making it to you.”
While he’s always been protective of his brothers because of their dad, he’s become even more so due to his work in the Sierra Program. Because wherever he goes, danger follows.
At least now he has training.
"Fine, but don't come complaining to me in the morning when your old man back is hurting," he teases before tossing himself back onto the sofa. He slings his legs over Court's lap, just like he always did when he was a kid. Old habits die hard.
"So, like, what have you been up to? Because every time I've reached out, you've been real cagey about where you've been."
Six rolls his eyes and playfully smacks one of Colt’s legs before he leans back against the couch, chuckling.
He shrugs, looking away from Colt. “You know why I have to be cagey, Colt. What I do isn’t exactly meant to be public knowledge.”
When Raven had awoken that morning there had been no indication that the carefully built life she had constructed would be tipped on it's head. It was supposed to be a normal day, a few chores, grab a coffee and head into work.
The morning went as usual, she picked up some groceries, payed her rent and headed to the Cafe a block away from her work. She even managed to score a free cookie after someone else took her coffee.
She loved her job, even if her friends said that working as a museum tour guide was a waste of her degree. She punched in, checked her schedule and prepared for the day. She had a tour group coming in today that wasn't her usual clientele. According to the schedule today's group was for a charity event, multiple high profile wealthy donors wanted to have a guide show them all the history they were putting money into.
She always hated these groups, self important rich people who didn't really care about the history they were being shown. Plus there was so much that could go wrong with high profile groups like this.
She shoved her bag into her locker and pinned her name tag onto her cardigan with a sigh. Today was bound to feel much longer than it actually was.
Six sighs as he places the sticker with his 'name' on it to his suit jacket. It's an alias, of course, and quite a forgettable one at that. John. Like John Doe - clever, right?
He doesn't think so. Then again, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that he gets this op done. It's lucky for him that his target bought out the museum for the day, so there will be less risk for civilian casualties. The only civilians present will be the workers. As far as he knows the entire tour group is in on this deal.
He manages to weave his way into the tour group, the people present not even batting an eye at him. Good.
He inspects them as they walk into the building, all with name tags of their own. All aliases, of course. He quickly spots his target, a man named Lars Samson - though his name tag reads 'Josh'. Another forgettable name.
They all head further into the building, Six hanging off a little to the side so he can keep an eye on them all, see when Lars attempts to make the exchange. When they meet up with their tour guide - Raven, is what her name tag says - he spares her a quick glance before turning his attention to the museum, scoping out all the possible escape routes.
Time to get this show on the road.
Six keeps up with the group as Raven leads them through the museum, though he’s not really paying attention to the exhibits. He’s paying attention to the group and the layout of the museum, mapping out more escape routes. Can’t have too many.
He notices how Raven keeps glancing at him, and at a certain point it starts making him nervous. Is she in on the deal too? Does she know who he is? He can’t have her blowing his cover. So he starts keeping an eye on her too.
If only he had more eyes.
When lunch rolls around Six decides to at least get himself a sandwich. No telling when the next time he’ll be able to eat is, especially if the op goes south.
He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.
Six sets the rest of his sandwich down and stands up, inconspicuously slipping a knife from his pocket. He walks up behind Lars, pressing the knife against his back as he places his free hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Hey, Josh right? Can you come with me, I just wanted to talk for a second,” Six says as he smiles at the rest of the group, trying to seem friendly.
Now, here’s how he’s hoping this will go: Lars does as he asks, just stands and follows him out of sight and earshot. He gives Six the asset and Six kills him. Easy peasy.
But, his hopes never tend to come true. So this is what happens instead:
Lars swiftly gets up and tries landing a right-hook on Six, which Six deflects effortlessly. He plunges his knife into Lars’s chest and snatches the asset — a necklace, which surely has a drive hidden in it — from his hand.
Now here comes the rest of the group. Six takes his knife and hurls it at the person closest to him, a man who had drawn a gun from his belt, and it lands right in his eye. His finger twitches and the gun in his hand fires, thankfully taking out the guy right beside him.
Six draws his own gun and is prepared to make a run for it, but then he sees a woman about to shoot Raven — trying to take out any eyewitnesses it seems.
He makes a dash for Raven, tackling her to the ground right as the woman shoots. Shielding her with his body, Six rolls and shoots the woman in the head. Her body falls as Six stands and helps Raven up onto her feet. After giving her a quick once over to make sure she’s okay he takes off.
Thankfully for Raven the rest of the group follows him. He takes care of them before getting in his car and speeding off towards his safe house, the asset tucked in his pocket.
On the way to the safe house Six hands the necklace off to an acquaintance who will ensure it makes it to his higher-ups.
There. Now he can go and rest. Thankfully he didn’t sustain many injuries, the worst of it may be some bruised ribs. He pulls into the garage, shutting off the car as the door shuts. He makes his way into the house, groaning as he slowly removes his suit jacket and tosses it aside.
Six is about to just crash on the couch when he spots something out the front window — a bike. A bike that wasn’t there when he left. He hears the door open.. either he didn’t lock it when he left, or this person knows how to lock pick.
He slips his handgun from the waist of his pants and grips it, slowly making his way towards the door. He comes across the person — a woman, her back facing him — and raises his gun, leveling it with her head.
“Tell me who you are and why you’re here, or I’ll shoot,” Six orders as he places his finger on the trigger.
Raven drops her bike, letting it lean against the front window. Her brain screams at her to stop, to leave and go home, but her feet carry her towards the front door.
She raises her hand to knock at the door, her movement haulting when she sees that the door is slightly ajar. Her heart pounds in her chest, with the fighting skills she saw him exhibit earlier she doubts he would be the type to just leave his front door open. She panics, she didn't see him get hurt but what if he did?
She pushes the door open, slowly walking down the hall, the house looks too normal, too suburban. Too manufactured. The photos hanging on the walls have a stock photo family smiling too wide.
She swivels around quickly at his voice, eyes growing wide with fear as she, for the second time today, stares down the barrel of a gun.
"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

Six’s brows furrow when she calls him ‘Court’ — aside from his brother and Fitz, not many people know his real name. He stands there for a few moments, gun still pointed at the woman as he tries to remember who she is.
Then it hits him. His eyes widen as he removes his finger from the trigger and holsters his gun. He moves past her and slams the door shut, locking it.
“Sarah? What the hell are you doing here?! Why’d you follow me?!” He exclaims as he walks up to her.
This is not good. For either of them. God forbid someone saw her and followed her..
He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.
Six sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face Raven. “Okay, Raven, got it.” He removes his gun from his waistband and sets it on a side table before he begins pacing around the room.
While he now remembers who Raven is, he’s still wary around her. It’s been over 15 years after all. He’s not used to being referred to by his first name nowadays. It feels wrong. And he can’t risk it being overheard.
“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”
Six sighs, rubbing a hand over his face before he sits down on a chair across from Raven. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”
Six merely nods, still not looking at Raven. It’s been a while since he thought about his little brothers. Not because he wants to forget about them or abandon them completely, he doesn’t. Far from it.
He’s just afraid that the more he thinks about them, the more tempted he’ll be to go and see them. And that would put them in danger.
So he shoves them out of his mind. Again.
Six returns his gaze to Raven as he leans forward in his chair, chuckling at her comparing him to the winter soldier. “Yeah, I’m not a super human and I’m not a nazi.”
He stands, walking up to Raven and kneeling in front of her on the floor. He places a gentle hand on her shoulder, hoping that the gesture is comforting. “You won’t be able to go back to your normal life, no. But so long as I’m here, you do stand a chance of making it out alive. I’ll protect you, I swear it. I’m the reason you’re in this mess after all.”
Six sighs as he stands, letting his hand fall from Raven’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.. yeah, I suppose you do live here now. I can escort you to your place though so you can grab anything you need.”
He chuckles, though the expression doesn’t hold much amusement. “I still wouldn’t count yourself lucky. I’m not good company.” He walks over to the side table where his handgun is and picks it up, slipping it into his waistband and hiding it with his suit jacket. “Ready to go? It’s better we get this done sooner rather than later.”
She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I don't have much stuff so I won't take too long to grab what I need. Do you wanna come in with me or should I just meet you back out here once I'm packed?" Her eyes focus out the car window as she speaks, watching as they pull into the parking garage of her shabby apartment building.

“I’ll go with you. There could be someone in your apartment,” Six says as he gets out of the car. He follows Raven up to her apartment, holding his arm out in front of her to stop her from walking when he sees that her door is slightly ajar. He motions for her to stay put as he slips his handgun from his waistband, gripping it while he slowly opens up the door.
“Stay put,” he mutters to Raven before he steps inside, sweeping the room to make sure it’s clear. Unfortunately for both of them, it isn’t.
A man charges at Six, wrapping his arms around his midsection to try and get him to the ground, and the force of the impact causes Six to drop his gun.
He slams his elbows down into the man’s back and gets him to let go. He uses the opening to land a kick to his jaw, but unfortunately it doesn’t phase the man as much as he was hoping it would.
The man brings out a knife and begins swiping at Six, and he manages to dodge the attacks. He tries to land a punch, but the man catches his arm and grips it, swiftly plunging his knife into Six’s side.
Six groans and headbuts the man, which makes him to let go of his arm and stagger back. Six swiftly yanks the knife out of his side snd stabs the man in the heart.
His body drops as Six presses a hand to his wound and turns to face Raven. “Get your stuff. Be quick.”
Raven stands in the hallways, back pressed to the wall as she hears the sound of knuckles hitting flesh. Her instinct is to call out to ask six if he's alright but she shows she can't.
Her resolve to stay hidden breaks however when she sees Six's gun slide across the floor into the hallway. She hastily grabs it and raises it up as she peers around the door. She hoped like he'll she wouldn't have to use it, she had never so much as even killed a spider before but she wasn't going to let six die without a fight.
She stands in the doorway, breathing choppy as she holds the gun up infront of her. Her hands shake as she lowers the gun again when she sees that the threat is currently bleeding out on the floor.
Her figure stays eerily still as her eyes glaze over, she had seen a dead person before today, and the woman at the museum hadn't been close enough for her to see the light leave her eyes like this man was.
She blinks owlishly before snapping back into focus as he calmly and gently takes the gun from her hands. Nodding at his instructions and hurrying toward her room to back a go bag.
Her breathing is still uneven as she rushes to shove only the bare necessities into a duffle bag. Clothes? Check. Toiletries? Check. Phone charger? Check. Laptop and charger? Check. The last thing she grabs she shoves to the very bottom of the bag, a battered old shoes box. The box contains the last few good pieces of her childhood. Logically she knows that the space in the bag would be better used for more practical supplies but this is all she has left of the times before the abuse started.
She closes the bag with an echoing zip sounds and slings it over her shoulder before rushing out to meet six in her now blood soaked living room. "I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

Six nods and hurries out of the apartment with Raven, rushing with her back to his car. He hisses through gritted teeth as he puts his seatbelt on, the fabric digging into his wound.
They speed off back to the safe house, and as soon as they’re secure in the closed garage Six stumbles out of his car and into the house, making a beeline for the bathroom. While he really would’ve rather just helped Raven inside and talked to her — he could see how she was dissociating — he needs to get his bleeding under control.
Sounds of cabinet doors slamming and groaning can be heard as Six pulls a first aid kit from under the sink and takes his suit jacket off. He peels off his blood-soaked shirt and inspects his wound, prodding at it with his fingers. Seems like the assailant missed his liver and kidney, thank god. All he has to do is stitch it and wrap it.
Raven holds her bag in her arms in the car, her brain feels like it's trying to swim through syrup. Her mind vaguely recognising his hiss of pain but not working quick enough to ask him about it before he's rushing into the house.
Her movements are slow as she gets put if the car, her brain only speeding up again when she sees the trail of blood following after Six. Her body speeds up and quickly follows him, chucking her bag onto the couch after making sure the lock on the door was fixed in place.
She follows the trail of blood drops to the bathroom door. "Six? Are you hurt?" Her voice is tense, frayed thin with worry. "Please let me in so I can help you." She attempts to open the bathroom door, finding it locked.

Six grits his teeth as he starts stitching up his wound, his eyes flicking to the door when he hears Raven speak. He shakes his head, though he knows Raven can’t see him. “It’s okay, you’ve seen enough blood for one day. I can stitch this up myself,” he says as he continues stitching, his breathing labored.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head to make himself more alert. He can’t afford to pass out in the middle of stitching his wound.
Six sighs, his head hanging low. He nods again. “Alright. Yeah, I’ll keep talking,” he says before continuing to stitch up his wound.
“I recall earlier you said you used to wish to see me again after you had run away. Why’s that?” He recalls being nice to her, but aside from just being decent around her he can’t say why she’d ever think about him after she ran away. Especially after he wound up in prison.
When he finishes stitching up his wound he cuts the suture and places a gauze pad over the wound before wrapping his midsection with self-adherent compression bandage.
“There, I’m done,” he says before unlocking and opening the door, still breathing heavily as he leans on the doorframe. He doesn’t bother putting his shirt back on, given that it’s a blood-soaked mess.
Six merely listens as Raven talks about her past. How he was there for her…
He begins walking towards the living room and gestures for her to follow. “There’s no way I could forget any of that. You always deserved better. You never deserved any of what that bastard did to you. I try not to think about it though, because it just.. makes me angry,” he says as he slowly sits down on the couch, groaning.
When Raven sits beside him he turns his head to look at her. “While I did miss you, I was glad you left. It was the only way for you to be safe.” He sighs, falling back against the couch and resting his head back on it, looming away from her. “Seems like I’ve messed that up for you now though.”
Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”
He doesn’t pull away when Raven rests her head on his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arm around her waist, holding her close. He hopes the gesture is comforting.
“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”
Six sighs, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Raven. “You would’ve had to wait a long time. I wasn’t eligible for parole until 2031.”
He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
It takes a while, but eventually sleep pulls Six under.

Six and Raven are running, running, running. They’re being shot at. Six orders Raven to keep going while he takes care of the assailants behind them. With two quick shots they’re down and he turns back around to start catching up with Raven.
He starts running towards her. She gets grabbed. She’s held up against a man with a knife to her throat.
Six’s feet rapidly pound against the ground as he sprints forward. He can’t risk shooting with her in front of him. So he has to get to her fast.
He’s trying. He’s really trying — but he’s not fast enough. Raven’s body falls and—
Six jolts up when Raven wakes him, instinctively reaching for his pistol. When he sees it’s just Raven he sets it back down with a sigh and sits up on the couch.
“I’m sorry,” he murmurs softly to Raven before he picks up his phone.
He answers the call, pressing his phone up to his ear as he stands up off the couch and heads into the other room.
Six returns in a few minutes and tosses his phone on the couch before he places his hands on the back of it. His head is hanging low as he grips onto the couch, the wooden frame creaking from the force being put on it.
“They need me in Bangkok,” he says, head still down.
“There’s only one thing I’m used for, Raven, and you witnessed it yesterday,” Six mutters before turning and heading into the kitchen.
He returns moments later with a mug of steaming black coffee, which he immediately starts drinking. The burn hasn’t phased him in ages.
He returns to the couch and is about to sit down, but he decides to stretch his back out a bit first. He sets down his mug and begins to do just that, but then he suddenly freezes and groans, one of his hands flying to press against his bandaged wound.
“Goddamnit,” Six swears through gritted teeth before he starts making his way toward the bathroom.
Six sighs as he sits down. “Alright,” he grumbles before beginning to unwrap his bandages. Once he’s got it all unwrapped he balls the bandage up and tosses it in the trash can.
He slowly peels off the blood-soaked gauze, revealing his popped stitches. “Fucking hell. Guess I stitched it up too tight,” he mutters mostly to himself as he looks down at the wound.
Six lifts his head up to look at Raven. “I’m not sure if you’ve ever stitched a wound before, but I can guide you through it. You’ll just have to cut and remove the rest of the old stitches first.”
Six nods his head. "Guess you know what you're doing then."
He sits still and listens to Raven talk while she fixes up his wound, not saying much in return himself. He's never been much of a talker. He nods again once she's done. "Alright, thank you. But we need to get going now. Like I said, they need me in Bangkok," he says to Raven as he stands up.
He heads into his room and puts on a t-shirt, a new pair of pants, and a jacket before he walks into the living room. He picks up his now lukewarm coffee and chugs it.
Six sighs and sets his empty mug down when he sees his phone lighting up - 'Boss' again. "Six here."
"Six, why is your ass not on a plane right now?"
Six grits his teeth as he tightens his grip on his phone. His tone remains steady as he speaks. "I'm sorry sir, I just had to patch up a wound I sustained from the previous op." He can hear the man on the other line grumble irately.
"Well if you can still shoot and walk, then you're fine. Get your ass to Bangkok ASAP."
Six's free hand balls up into a fist. "I'm on it sir." And then the call is ended. Six curses under his breath as he slips his phone into his pocket. He has no idea how he's going to manage keep Raven's presence unknown to his higher-ups, nor how he's going to keep her safe while he runs his op. But he'll just have to figure it out won't he?
“I’m ready,” Six says as he zips up his jacket. He doesn’t have anything on him besides his phone and the clothes on his back. They give him everything he needs on the plane, besides the weapons. Those he gets when he arrives at the op.
He gestures for Raven to follow him into the garage and he opens the passenger door of the car for her, sliding into his own seat once she’s secured in hers. They speed off to a private airport, where a sleek white jet is waiting.
Six’s jaw clenches as he puts the car in park. “Here, put these on and put your hood up,” he says as he hands her a pair of dark sunglasses. “And stay quiet, let me do the talking.”
He closes his eyes and takes in a deep, steadying breath before he opens his eyes and turns his head to look at Raven. “You ready?”
When Raven had awoken that morning there had been no indication that the carefully built life she had constructed would be tipped on it's head. It was supposed to be a normal day, a few chores, grab a coffee and head into work.
The morning went as usual, she picked up some groceries, payed her rent and headed to the Cafe a block away from her work. She even managed to score a free cookie after someone else took her coffee.
She loved her job, even if her friends said that working as a museum tour guide was a waste of her degree. She punched in, checked her schedule and prepared for the day. She had a tour group coming in today that wasn't her usual clientele. According to the schedule today's group was for a charity event, multiple high profile wealthy donors wanted to have a guide show them all the history they were putting money into.
She always hated these groups, self important rich people who didn't really care about the history they were being shown. Plus there was so much that could go wrong with high profile groups like this.
She shoved her bag into her locker and pinned her name tag onto her cardigan with a sigh. Today was bound to feel much longer than it actually was.
Six sighs as he places the sticker with his 'name' on it to his suit jacket. It's an alias, of course, and quite a forgettable one at that. John. Like John Doe - clever, right?
He doesn't think so. Then again, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that he gets this op done. It's lucky for him that his target bought out the museum for the day, so there will be less risk for civilian casualties. The only civilians present will be the workers. As far as he knows the entire tour group is in on this deal.
He manages to weave his way into the tour group, the people present not even batting an eye at him. Good.
He inspects them as they walk into the building, all with name tags of their own. All aliases, of course. He quickly spots his target, a man named Lars Samson - though his name tag reads 'Josh'. Another forgettable name.
They all head further into the building, Six hanging off a little to the side so he can keep an eye on them all, see when Lars attempts to make the exchange. When they meet up with their tour guide - Raven, is what her name tag says - he spares her a quick glance before turning his attention to the museum, scoping out all the possible escape routes.
Time to get this show on the road.

When lunch rolls around Six decides to at least get himself a sandwich. No telling when the next time he’ll be able to eat is, especially if the op goes south.
He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.

She swivels around quickly at his voice, eyes growing wide with fear as she, for the second time today, stares down the barrel of a gun.
"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.
Six sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face Raven. “Okay, Raven, got it.” He removes his gun from his waistband and sets it on a side table before he begins pacing around the room.
While he now remembers who Raven is, he’s still wary around her. It’s been over 15 years after all. He’s not used to being referred to by his first name nowadays. It feels wrong. And he can’t risk it being overheard.
“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”
Six sighs, rubbing a hand over his face before he sits down on a chair across from Raven. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”
Six merely nods, still not looking at Raven. It’s been a while since he thought about his little brothers. Not because he wants to forget about them or abandon them completely, he doesn’t. Far from it.
He’s just afraid that the more he thinks about them, the more tempted he’ll be to go and see them. And that would put them in danger.
So he shoves them out of his mind. Again.
Six returns his gaze to Raven as he leans forward in his chair, chuckling at her comparing him to the winter soldier. “Yeah, I’m not a super human and I’m not a nazi.”
He stands, walking up to Raven and kneeling in front of her on the floor. He places a gentle hand on her shoulder, hoping that the gesture is comforting. “You won’t be able to go back to your normal life, no. But so long as I’m here, you do stand a chance of making it out alive. I’ll protect you, I swear it. I’m the reason you’re in this mess after all.”
Six sighs as he stands, letting his hand fall from Raven’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.. yeah, I suppose you do live here now. I can escort you to your place though so you can grab anything you need.”
He chuckles, though the expression doesn’t hold much amusement. “I still wouldn’t count yourself lucky. I’m not good company.” He walks over to the side table where his handgun is and picks it up, slipping it into his waistband and hiding it with his suit jacket. “Ready to go? It’s better we get this done sooner rather than later.”
She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I don't have much stuff so I won't take too long to grab what I need. Do you wanna come in with me or should I just meet you back out here once I'm packed?" Her eyes focus out the car window as she speaks, watching as they pull into the parking garage of her shabby apartment building.

“I’ll go with you. There could be someone in your apartment,” Six says as he gets out of the car. He follows Raven up to her apartment, holding his arm out in front of her to stop her from walking when he sees that her door is slightly ajar. He motions for her to stay put as he slips his handgun from his waistband, gripping it while he slowly opens up the door.
“Stay put,” he mutters to Raven before he steps inside, sweeping the room to make sure it’s clear. Unfortunately for both of them, it isn’t.
A man charges at Six, wrapping his arms around his midsection to try and get him to the ground, and the force of the impact causes Six to drop his gun.
He slams his elbows down into the man’s back and gets him to let go. He uses the opening to land a kick to his jaw, but unfortunately it doesn’t phase the man as much as he was hoping it would.
The man brings out a knife and begins swiping at Six, and he manages to dodge the attacks. He tries to land a punch, but the man catches his arm and grips it, swiftly plunging his knife into Six’s side.
Six groans and headbuts the man, which makes him to let go of his arm and stagger back. Six swiftly yanks the knife out of his side snd stabs the man in the heart.
His body drops as Six presses a hand to his wound and turns to face Raven. “Get your stuff. Be quick.”
Raven stands in the hallways, back pressed to the wall as she hears the sound of knuckles hitting flesh. Her instinct is to call out to ask six if he's alright but she shows she can't.
Her resolve to stay hidden breaks however when she sees Six's gun slide across the floor into the hallway. She hastily grabs it and raises it up as she peers around the door. She hoped like he'll she wouldn't have to use it, she had never so much as even killed a spider before but she wasn't going to let six die without a fight.
She stands in the doorway, breathing choppy as she holds the gun up infront of her. Her hands shake as she lowers the gun again when she sees that the threat is currently bleeding out on the floor.
Her figure stays eerily still as her eyes glaze over, she had seen a dead person before today, and the woman at the museum hadn't been close enough for her to see the light leave her eyes like this man was.
She blinks owlishly before snapping back into focus as he calmly and gently takes the gun from her hands. Nodding at his instructions and hurrying toward her room to back a go bag.
Her breathing is still uneven as she rushes to shove only the bare necessities into a duffle bag. Clothes? Check. Toiletries? Check. Phone charger? Check. Laptop and charger? Check. The last thing she grabs she shoves to the very bottom of the bag, a battered old shoes box. The box contains the last few good pieces of her childhood. Logically she knows that the space in the bag would be better used for more practical supplies but this is all she has left of the times before the abuse started.
She closes the bag with an echoing zip sounds and slings it over her shoulder before rushing out to meet six in her now blood soaked living room. "I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”

“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”

He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
It takes a while, but eventually sleep pulls Six under.

"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

Six’s brows furrow when she calls him ‘Court’ — aside from his brother and Fitz, not many people know his real name. He stands there for a few moments, gun still pointed at the woman as he tries to remember who she is.
Then it hits him. His eyes widen as he removes his finger from the trigger and holsters his gun. He moves past her and slams the door shut, locking it.
“Sarah? What the hell are you doing here?! Why’d you follow me?!” He exclaims as he walks up to her.
This is not good. For either of them. God forbid someone saw her and followed her..
He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.
Six sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face Raven. “Okay, Raven, got it.” He removes his gun from his waistband and sets it on a side table before he begins pacing around the room.
While he now remembers who Raven is, he’s still wary around her. It’s been over 15 years after all. He’s not used to being referred to by his first name nowadays. It feels wrong. And he can’t risk it being overheard.
“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”
Six sighs, rubbing a hand over his face before he sits down on a chair across from Raven. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”
Six merely nods, still not looking at Raven. It’s been a while since he thought about his little brothers. Not because he wants to forget about them or abandon them completely, he doesn’t. Far from it.
He’s just afraid that the more he thinks about them, the more tempted he’ll be to go and see them. And that would put them in danger.
So he shoves them out of his mind. Again.
Six returns his gaze to Raven as he leans forward in his chair, chuckling at her comparing him to the winter soldier. “Yeah, I’m not a super human and I’m not a nazi.”
He stands, walking up to Raven and kneeling in front of her on the floor. He places a gentle hand on her shoulder, hoping that the gesture is comforting. “You won’t be able to go back to your normal life, no. But so long as I’m here, you do stand a chance of making it out alive. I’ll protect you, I swear it. I’m the reason you’re in this mess after all.”
Six sighs as he stands, letting his hand fall from Raven’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.. yeah, I suppose you do live here now. I can escort you to your place though so you can grab anything you need.”
He chuckles, though the expression doesn’t hold much amusement. “I still wouldn’t count yourself lucky. I’m not good company.” He walks over to the side table where his handgun is and picks it up, slipping it into his waistband and hiding it with his suit jacket. “Ready to go? It’s better we get this done sooner rather than later.”
She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I don't have much stuff so I won't take too long to grab what I need. Do you wanna come in with me or should I just meet you back out here once I'm packed?" Her eyes focus out the car window as she speaks, watching as they pull into the parking garage of her shabby apartment building.

“I’ll go with you. There could be someone in your apartment,” Six says as he gets out of the car. He follows Raven up to her apartment, holding his arm out in front of her to stop her from walking when he sees that her door is slightly ajar. He motions for her to stay put as he slips his handgun from his waistband, gripping it while he slowly opens up the door.
“Stay put,” he mutters to Raven before he steps inside, sweeping the room to make sure it’s clear. Unfortunately for both of them, it isn’t.
A man charges at Six, wrapping his arms around his midsection to try and get him to the ground, and the force of the impact causes Six to drop his gun.
He slams his elbows down into the man’s back and gets him to let go. He uses the opening to land a kick to his jaw, but unfortunately it doesn’t phase the man as much as he was hoping it would.
The man brings out a knife and begins swiping at Six, and he manages to dodge the attacks. He tries to land a punch, but the man catches his arm and grips it, swiftly plunging his knife into Six’s side.
Six groans and headbuts the man, which makes him to let go of his arm and stagger back. Six swiftly yanks the knife out of his side snd stabs the man in the heart.
His body drops as Six presses a hand to his wound and turns to face Raven. “Get your stuff. Be quick.”
Raven stands in the hallways, back pressed to the wall as she hears the sound of knuckles hitting flesh. Her instinct is to call out to ask six if he's alright but she shows she can't.
Her resolve to stay hidden breaks however when she sees Six's gun slide across the floor into the hallway. She hastily grabs it and raises it up as she peers around the door. She hoped like he'll she wouldn't have to use it, she had never so much as even killed a spider before but she wasn't going to let six die without a fight.
She stands in the doorway, breathing choppy as she holds the gun up infront of her. Her hands shake as she lowers the gun again when she sees that the threat is currently bleeding out on the floor.
Her figure stays eerily still as her eyes glaze over, she had seen a dead person before today, and the woman at the museum hadn't been close enough for her to see the light leave her eyes like this man was.
She blinks owlishly before snapping back into focus as he calmly and gently takes the gun from her hands. Nodding at his instructions and hurrying toward her room to back a go bag.
Her breathing is still uneven as she rushes to shove only the bare necessities into a duffle bag. Clothes? Check. Toiletries? Check. Phone charger? Check. Laptop and charger? Check. The last thing she grabs she shoves to the very bottom of the bag, a battered old shoes box. The box contains the last few good pieces of her childhood. Logically she knows that the space in the bag would be better used for more practical supplies but this is all she has left of the times before the abuse started.
She closes the bag with an echoing zip sounds and slings it over her shoulder before rushing out to meet six in her now blood soaked living room. "I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

Six nods and hurries out of the apartment with Raven, rushing with her back to his car. He hisses through gritted teeth as he puts his seatbelt on, the fabric digging into his wound.
They speed off back to the safe house, and as soon as they’re secure in the closed garage Six stumbles out of his car and into the house, making a beeline for the bathroom. While he really would’ve rather just helped Raven inside and talked to her — he could see how she was dissociating — he needs to get his bleeding under control.
Sounds of cabinet doors slamming and groaning can be heard as Six pulls a first aid kit from under the sink and takes his suit jacket off. He peels off his blood-soaked shirt and inspects his wound, prodding at it with his fingers. Seems like the assailant missed his liver and kidney, thank god. All he has to do is stitch it and wrap it.
Raven holds her bag in her arms in the car, her brain feels like it's trying to swim through syrup. Her mind vaguely recognising his hiss of pain but not working quick enough to ask him about it before he's rushing into the house.
Her movements are slow as she gets put if the car, her brain only speeding up again when she sees the trail of blood following after Six. Her body speeds up and quickly follows him, chucking her bag onto the couch after making sure the lock on the door was fixed in place.
She follows the trail of blood drops to the bathroom door. "Six? Are you hurt?" Her voice is tense, frayed thin with worry. "Please let me in so I can help you." She attempts to open the bathroom door, finding it locked.

Six grits his teeth as he starts stitching up his wound, his eyes flicking to the door when he hears Raven speak. He shakes his head, though he knows Raven can’t see him. “It’s okay, you’ve seen enough blood for one day. I can stitch this up myself,” he says as he continues stitching, his breathing labored.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head to make himself more alert. He can’t afford to pass out in the middle of stitching his wound.
Six sighs, his head hanging low. He nods again. “Alright. Yeah, I’ll keep talking,” he says before continuing to stitch up his wound.
“I recall earlier you said you used to wish to see me again after you had run away. Why’s that?” He recalls being nice to her, but aside from just being decent around her he can’t say why she’d ever think about him after she ran away. Especially after he wound up in prison.
When he finishes stitching up his wound he cuts the suture and places a gauze pad over the wound before wrapping his midsection with self-adherent compression bandage.
“There, I’m done,” he says before unlocking and opening the door, still breathing heavily as he leans on the doorframe. He doesn’t bother putting his shirt back on, given that it’s a blood-soaked mess.
Six merely listens as Raven talks about her past. How he was there for her…
He begins walking towards the living room and gestures for her to follow. “There’s no way I could forget any of that. You always deserved better. You never deserved any of what that bastard did to you. I try not to think about it though, because it just.. makes me angry,” he says as he slowly sits down on the couch, groaning.
When Raven sits beside him he turns his head to look at her. “While I did miss you, I was glad you left. It was the only way for you to be safe.” He sighs, falling back against the couch and resting his head back on it, looming away from her. “Seems like I’ve messed that up for you now though.”
Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”
He doesn’t pull away when Raven rests her head on his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arm around her waist, holding her close. He hopes the gesture is comforting.
“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”
Six sighs, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Raven. “You would’ve had to wait a long time. I wasn’t eligible for parole until 2031.”
He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
It takes a while, but eventually sleep pulls Six under.

Six and Raven are running, running, running. They’re being shot at. Six orders Raven to keep going while he takes care of the assailants behind them. With two quick shots they’re down and he turns back around to start catching up with Raven.
He starts running towards her. She gets grabbed. She’s held up against a man with a knife to her throat.
Six’s feet rapidly pound against the ground as he sprints forward. He can’t risk shooting with her in front of him. So he has to get to her fast.
He’s trying. He’s really trying — but he’s not fast enough. Raven’s body falls and—

He answers the call, pressing his phone up to his ear as he stands up off the couch and heads into the other room.
Six returns in a few minutes and tosses his phone on the couch before he places his hands on the back of it. His head is hanging low as he grips onto the couch, the wooden frame creaking from the force being put on it.
“They need me in Bangkok,” he says, head still down.
“There’s only one thing I’m used for, Raven, and you witnessed it yesterday,” Six mutters before turning and heading into the kitchen.
He returns moments later with a mug of steaming black coffee, which he immediately starts drinking. The burn hasn’t phased him in ages.
He returns to the couch and is about to sit down, but he decides to stretch his back out a bit first. He sets down his mug and begins to do just that, but then he suddenly freezes and groans, one of his hands flying to press against his bandaged wound.
“Goddamnit,” Six swears through gritted teeth before he starts making his way toward the bathroom.

He slowly peels off the blood-soaked gauze, revealing his popped stitches. “Fucking hell. Guess I stitched it up too tight,” he mutters mostly to himself as he looks down at the wound.
Six lifts his head up to look at Raven. “I’m not sure if you’ve ever stitched a wound before, but I can guide you through it. You’ll just have to cut and remove the rest of the old stitches first.”
When Raven had awoken that morning there had been no indication that the carefully built life she had constructed would be tipped on it's head. It was supposed to be a normal day, a few chores, grab a coffee and head into work.
The morning went as usual, she picked up some groceries, payed her rent and headed to the Cafe a block away from her work. She even managed to score a free cookie after someone else took her coffee.
She loved her job, even if her friends said that working as a museum tour guide was a waste of her degree. She punched in, checked her schedule and prepared for the day. She had a tour group coming in today that wasn't her usual clientele. According to the schedule today's group was for a charity event, multiple high profile wealthy donors wanted to have a guide show them all the history they were putting money into.
She always hated these groups, self important rich people who didn't really care about the history they were being shown. Plus there was so much that could go wrong with high profile groups like this.
She shoved her bag into her locker and pinned her name tag onto her cardigan with a sigh. Today was bound to feel much longer than it actually was.
Six sighs as he places the sticker with his 'name' on it to his suit jacket. It's an alias, of course, and quite a forgettable one at that. John. Like John Doe - clever, right?
He doesn't think so. Then again, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that he gets this op done. It's lucky for him that his target bought out the museum for the day, so there will be less risk for civilian casualties. The only civilians present will be the workers. As far as he knows the entire tour group is in on this deal.
He manages to weave his way into the tour group, the people present not even batting an eye at him. Good.
He inspects them as they walk into the building, all with name tags of their own. All aliases, of course. He quickly spots his target, a man named Lars Samson - though his name tag reads 'Josh'. Another forgettable name.
They all head further into the building, Six hanging off a little to the side so he can keep an eye on them all, see when Lars attempts to make the exchange. When they meet up with their tour guide - Raven, is what her name tag says - he spares her a quick glance before turning his attention to the museum, scoping out all the possible escape routes.
Time to get this show on the road.
Six keeps up with the group as Raven leads them through the museum, though he’s not really paying attention to the exhibits. He’s paying attention to the group and the layout of the museum, mapping out more escape routes. Can’t have too many.
He notices how Raven keeps glancing at him, and at a certain point it starts making him nervous. Is she in on the deal too? Does she know who he is? He can’t have her blowing his cover. So he starts keeping an eye on her too.
If only he had more eyes.
When lunch rolls around Six decides to at least get himself a sandwich. No telling when the next time he’ll be able to eat is, especially if the op goes south.
He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.

“Hey, Josh right? Can you come with me, I just wanted to talk for a second,” Six says as he smiles at the rest of the group, trying to seem friendly.
Now, here’s how he’s hoping this will go: Lars does as he asks, just stands and follows him out of sight and earshot. He gives Six the asset and Six kills him. Easy peasy.
But, his hopes never tend to come true. So this is what happens instead:
Lars swiftly gets up and tries landing a right-hook on Six, which Six deflects effortlessly. He plunges his knife into Lars’s chest and snatches the asset — a necklace, which surely has a drive hidden in it — from his hand.
Now here comes the rest of the group. Six takes his knife and hurls it at the person closest to him, a man who had drawn a gun from his belt, and it lands right in his eye. His finger twitches and the gun in his hand fires, thankfully taking out the guy right beside him.
Six draws his own gun and is prepared to make a run for it, but then he sees a woman about to shoot Raven — trying to take out any eyewitnesses it seems.
He makes a dash for Raven, tackling her to the ground right as the woman shoots. Shielding her with his body, Six rolls and shoots the woman in the head. Her body falls as Six stands and helps Raven up onto her feet. After giving her a quick once over to make sure she’s okay he takes off.
Thankfully for Raven the rest of the group follows him. He takes care of them before getting in his car and speeding off towards his safe house, the asset tucked in his pocket.

Sounds of cabinet doors slamming and groaning can be heard as Six pulls a first aid kit from under the sink and takes his suit jacket off. He peels off his blood-soaked shirt and inspects his wound, prodding at it with his fingers. Seems like the assailant missed his liver and kidney, thank god. All he has to do is stitch it and wrap it.
Raven holds her bag in her arms in the car, her brain feels like it's trying to swim through syrup. Her mind vaguely recognising his hiss of pain but not working quick enough to ask him about it before he's rushing into the house.
Her movements are slow as she gets put if the car, her brain only speeding up again when she sees the trail of blood following after Six. Her body speeds up and quickly follows him, chucking her bag onto the couch after making sure the lock on the door was fixed in place.
She follows the trail of blood drops to the bathroom door. "Six? Are you hurt?" Her voice is tense, frayed thin with worry. "Please let me in so I can help you." She attempts to open the bathroom door, finding it locked.

Six grits his teeth as he starts stitching up his wound, his eyes flicking to the door when he hears Raven speak. He shakes his head, though he knows Raven can’t see him. “It’s okay, you’ve seen enough blood for one day. I can stitch this up myself,” he says as he continues stitching, his breathing labored.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head to make himself more alert. He can’t afford to pass out in the middle of stitching his wound.
Six sighs, his head hanging low. He nods again. “Alright. Yeah, I’ll keep talking,” he says before continuing to stitch up his wound.
“I recall earlier you said you used to wish to see me again after you had run away. Why’s that?” He recalls being nice to her, but aside from just being decent around her he can’t say why she’d ever think about him after she ran away. Especially after he wound up in prison.
When he finishes stitching up his wound he cuts the suture and places a gauze pad over the wound before wrapping his midsection with self-adherent compression bandage.
“There, I’m done,” he says before unlocking and opening the door, still breathing heavily as he leans on the doorframe. He doesn’t bother putting his shirt back on, given that it’s a blood-soaked mess.
Six merely listens as Raven talks about her past. How he was there for her…
He begins walking towards the living room and gestures for her to follow. “There’s no way I could forget any of that. You always deserved better. You never deserved any of what that bastard did to you. I try not to think about it though, because it just.. makes me angry,” he says as he slowly sits down on the couch, groaning.
When Raven sits beside him he turns his head to look at her. “While I did miss you, I was glad you left. It was the only way for you to be safe.” He sighs, falling back against the couch and resting his head back on it, looming away from her. “Seems like I’ve messed that up for you now though.”
Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”
He doesn’t pull away when Raven rests her head on his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arm around her waist, holding her close. He hopes the gesture is comforting.
“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”
Six sighs, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Raven. “You would’ve had to wait a long time. I wasn’t eligible for parole until 2031.”
He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
It takes a while, but eventually sleep pulls Six under.

“They need me in Bangkok,” he says, head still down.
“There’s only one thing I’m used for, Raven, and you witnessed it yesterday,” Six mutters before turning and heading into the kitchen.

She had a tour group coming in today that wasn't her usual clientele. According to the schedule today's group was for a charity event, multiple high profile wealthy donors wanted to have a guide show them all the history they were putting money into.
She always hated these groups, self important rich people who didn't really care about the history they were being shown. Plus there was so much that could go wrong with high profile groups like this.
She shoved her bag into her locker and pinned her name tag onto her cardigan with a sigh. Today was bound to feel much longer than it actually was.

Time to get this show on the road.

He notices how Raven keeps glancing at him, and at a certain point it starts making him nervous. Is she in on the deal too? Does she know who he is? He can’t have her blowing his cover. So he starts keeping an eye on her too.

When lunch rolls around Six decides to at least get himself a sandwich. No telling when the next time he’ll be able to eat is, especially if the op goes south.
He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.
Six sets the rest of his sandwich down and stands up, inconspicuously slipping a knife from his pocket. He walks up behind Lars, pressing the knife against his back as he places his free hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Hey, Josh right? Can you come with me, I just wanted to talk for a second,” Six says as he smiles at the rest of the group, trying to seem friendly.
Now, here’s how he’s hoping this will go: Lars does as he asks, just stands and follows him out of sight and earshot. He gives Six the asset and Six kills him. Easy peasy.
But, his hopes never tend to come true. So this is what happens instead:
Lars swiftly gets up and tries landing a right-hook on Six, which Six deflects effortlessly. He plunges his knife into Lars’s chest and snatches the asset — a necklace, which surely has a drive hidden in it — from his hand.
Now here comes the rest of the group. Six takes his knife and hurls it at the person closest to him, a man who had drawn a gun from his belt, and it lands right in his eye. His finger twitches and the gun in his hand fires, thankfully taking out the guy right beside him.
Six draws his own gun and is prepared to make a run for it, but then he sees a woman about to shoot Raven — trying to take out any eyewitnesses it seems.
He makes a dash for Raven, tackling her to the ground right as the woman shoots. Shielding her with his body, Six rolls and shoots the woman in the head. Her body falls as Six stands and helps Raven up onto her feet. After giving her a quick once over to make sure she’s okay he takes off.
Thankfully for Raven the rest of the group follows him. He takes care of them before getting in his car and speeding off towards his safe house, the asset tucked in his pocket.
On the way to the safe house Six hands the necklace off to an acquaintance who will ensure it makes it to his higher-ups.
There. Now he can go and rest. Thankfully he didn’t sustain many injuries, the worst of it may be some bruised ribs. He pulls into the garage, shutting off the car as the door shuts. He makes his way into the house, groaning as he slowly removes his suit jacket and tosses it aside.
Six is about to just crash on the couch when he spots something out the front window — a bike. A bike that wasn’t there when he left. He hears the door open.. either he didn’t lock it when he left, or this person knows how to lock pick.
He slips his handgun from the waist of his pants and grips it, slowly making his way towards the door. He comes across the person — a woman, her back facing him — and raises his gun, leveling it with her head.
“Tell me who you are and why you’re here, or I’ll shoot,” Six orders as he places his finger on the trigger.
Raven drops her bike, letting it lean against the front window. Her brain screams at her to stop, to leave and go home, but her feet carry her towards the front door.
She raises her hand to knock at the door, her movement haulting when she sees that the door is slightly ajar. Her heart pounds in her chest, with the fighting skills she saw him exhibit earlier she doubts he would be the type to just leave his front door open. She panics, she didn't see him get hurt but what if he did?
She pushes the door open, slowly walking down the hall, the house looks too normal, too suburban. Too manufactured. The photos hanging on the walls have a stock photo family smiling too wide.
She swivels around quickly at his voice, eyes growing wide with fear as she, for the second time today, stares down the barrel of a gun.
"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.

“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”

“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”

She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

He sits down at a table adjacent to the one the rest of the group sits at and starts eating as he watches the group.
There it is. The asset. It’s about to be handed off.
Six sets the rest of his sandwich down and stands up, inconspicuously slipping a knife from his pocket. He walks up behind Lars, pressing the knife against his back as he places his free hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Hey, Josh right? Can you come with me, I just wanted to talk for a second,” Six says as he smiles at the rest of the group, trying to seem friendly.
Now, here’s how he’s hoping this will go: Lars does as he asks, just stands and follows him out of sight and earshot. He gives Six the asset and Six kills him. Easy peasy.
But, his hopes never tend to come true. So this is what happens instead:
Lars swiftly gets up and tries landing a right-hook on Six, which Six deflects effortlessly. He plunges his knife into Lars’s chest and snatches the asset — a necklace, which surely has a drive hidden in it — from his hand.
Now here comes the rest of the group. Six takes his knife and hurls it at the person closest to him, a man who had drawn a gun from his belt, and it lands right in his eye. His finger twitches and the gun in his hand fires, thankfully taking out the guy right beside him.
Six draws his own gun and is prepared to make a run for it, but then he sees a woman about to shoot Raven — trying to take out any eyewitnesses it seems.
He makes a dash for Raven, tackling her to the ground right as the woman shoots. Shielding her with his body, Six rolls and shoots the woman in the head. Her body falls as Six stands and helps Raven up onto her feet. After giving her a quick once over to make sure she’s okay he takes off.
Thankfully for Raven the rest of the group follows him. He takes care of them before getting in his car and speeding off towards his safe house, the asset tucked in his pocket.
On the way to the safe house Six hands the necklace off to an acquaintance who will ensure it makes it to his higher-ups.
There. Now he can go and rest. Thankfully he didn’t sustain many injuries, the worst of it may be some bruised ribs. He pulls into the garage, shutting off the car as the door shuts. He makes his way into the house, groaning as he slowly removes his suit jacket and tosses it aside.
Six is about to just crash on the couch when he spots something out the front window — a bike. A bike that wasn’t there when he left. He hears the door open.. either he didn’t lock it when he left, or this person knows how to lock pick.
He slips his handgun from the waist of his pants and grips it, slowly making his way towards the door. He comes across the person — a woman, her back facing him — and raises his gun, leveling it with her head.
“Tell me who you are and why you’re here, or I’ll shoot,” Six orders as he places his finger on the trigger.
Raven drops her bike, letting it lean against the front window. Her brain screams at her to stop, to leave and go home, but her feet carry her towards the front door.
She raises her hand to knock at the door, her movement haulting when she sees that the door is slightly ajar. Her heart pounds in her chest, with the fighting skills she saw him exhibit earlier she doubts he would be the type to just leave his front door open. She panics, she didn't see him get hurt but what if he did?
She pushes the door open, slowly walking down the hall, the house looks too normal, too suburban. Too manufactured. The photos hanging on the walls have a stock photo family smiling too wide.
She swivels around quickly at his voice, eyes growing wide with fear as she, for the second time today, stares down the barrel of a gun.
"It's me Court. Don't you remember me?" Her heart sinks, she shouldn't have expected him to remember, why would he? But the look of disappointing fills her eyes. Her arms stand up in surrender.

Six’s brows furrow when she calls him ‘Court’ — aside from his brother and Fitz, not many people know his real name. He stands there for a few moments, gun still pointed at the woman as he tries to remember who she is.
Then it hits him. His eyes widen as he removes his finger from the trigger and holsters his gun. He moves past her and slams the door shut, locking it.
“Sarah? What the hell are you doing here?! Why’d you follow me?!” He exclaims as he walks up to her.
This is not good. For either of them. God forbid someone saw her and followed her..
He has to check. He starts wandering around the house, checking that all the doors and windows are locked, drawing the curtains closed. Thankfully all seems to be in order — aside from her presence here nothing else is amiss.
Six sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face Raven. “Okay, Raven, got it.” He removes his gun from his waistband and sets it on a side table before he begins pacing around the room.
While he now remembers who Raven is, he’s still wary around her. It’s been over 15 years after all. He’s not used to being referred to by his first name nowadays. It feels wrong. And he can’t risk it being overheard.
“Just… call me Six for now okay? I don’t need my name getting spread around,” he says as he turns to face her, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can’t tell you anything without putting you in danger. You being here already is dangerous enough.”
Six sighs, rubbing a hand over his face before he sits down on a chair across from Raven. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Okay, you make a good argument.” He sighs again, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair.
“I’m out of prison because a man came and disputed my sentence. He roped me into working for the CIA, as part of a program called Sierra. That’s why I go by Six now — I’m Sierra Six. In his words, I exist in the gray. There’s no intel on the Sierra program, no intel on me.”
He pauses, looking away from Raven. “Unfortunately that’s all I can tell you. They never tell me anything about my targets, they only give me a name and a location. That’s it. In their minds I don’t need to know anything else. I’m just an asset, and all I need to know is how to kill.”
Six merely nods, still not looking at Raven. It’s been a while since he thought about his little brothers. Not because he wants to forget about them or abandon them completely, he doesn’t. Far from it.
He’s just afraid that the more he thinks about them, the more tempted he’ll be to go and see them. And that would put them in danger.
So he shoves them out of his mind. Again.
Six returns his gaze to Raven as he leans forward in his chair, chuckling at her comparing him to the winter soldier. “Yeah, I’m not a super human and I’m not a nazi.”
He stands, walking up to Raven and kneeling in front of her on the floor. He places a gentle hand on her shoulder, hoping that the gesture is comforting. “You won’t be able to go back to your normal life, no. But so long as I’m here, you do stand a chance of making it out alive. I’ll protect you, I swear it. I’m the reason you’re in this mess after all.”
Six sighs as he stands, letting his hand fall from Raven’s shoulder. “I’m sorry.. yeah, I suppose you do live here now. I can escort you to your place though so you can grab anything you need.”
He chuckles, though the expression doesn’t hold much amusement. “I still wouldn’t count yourself lucky. I’m not good company.” He walks over to the side table where his handgun is and picks it up, slipping it into his waistband and hiding it with his suit jacket. “Ready to go? It’s better we get this done sooner rather than later.”
She pushed up off the couch to stand. "You can't be that bad company, you may not feel it but you are a good person, I'm pretty good at reading people."
"Let's do this" she nods as she follows him to the front door, telling him her address once he's sat in the driver's seat beside her.

"I don't have much stuff so I won't take too long to grab what I need. Do you wanna come in with me or should I just meet you back out here once I'm packed?" Her eyes focus out the car window as she speaks, watching as they pull into the parking garage of her shabby apartment building.

“I’ll go with you. There could be someone in your apartment,” Six says as he gets out of the car. He follows Raven up to her apartment, holding his arm out in front of her to stop her from walking when he sees that her door is slightly ajar. He motions for her to stay put as he slips his handgun from his waistband, gripping it while he slowly opens up the door.
“Stay put,” he mutters to Raven before he steps inside, sweeping the room to make sure it’s clear. Unfortunately for both of them, it isn’t.
A man charges at Six, wrapping his arms around his midsection to try and get him to the ground, and the force of the impact causes Six to drop his gun.
He slams his elbows down into the man’s back and gets him to let go. He uses the opening to land a kick to his jaw, but unfortunately it doesn’t phase the man as much as he was hoping it would.
The man brings out a knife and begins swiping at Six, and he manages to dodge the attacks. He tries to land a punch, but the man catches his arm and grips it, swiftly plunging his knife into Six’s side.
Six groans and headbuts the man, which makes him to let go of his arm and stagger back. Six swiftly yanks the knife out of his side snd stabs the man in the heart.
His body drops as Six presses a hand to his wound and turns to face Raven. “Get your stuff. Be quick.”
Raven stands in the hallways, back pressed to the wall as she hears the sound of knuckles hitting flesh. Her instinct is to call out to ask six if he's alright but she shows she can't.
Her resolve to stay hidden breaks however when she sees Six's gun slide across the floor into the hallway. She hastily grabs it and raises it up as she peers around the door. She hoped like he'll she wouldn't have to use it, she had never so much as even killed a spider before but she wasn't going to let six die without a fight.
She stands in the doorway, breathing choppy as she holds the gun up infront of her. Her hands shake as she lowers the gun again when she sees that the threat is currently bleeding out on the floor.
Her figure stays eerily still as her eyes glaze over, she had seen a dead person before today, and the woman at the museum hadn't been close enough for her to see the light leave her eyes like this man was.
She blinks owlishly before snapping back into focus as he calmly and gently takes the gun from her hands. Nodding at his instructions and hurrying toward her room to back a go bag.
Her breathing is still uneven as she rushes to shove only the bare necessities into a duffle bag. Clothes? Check. Toiletries? Check. Phone charger? Check. Laptop and charger? Check. The last thing she grabs she shoves to the very bottom of the bag, a battered old shoes box. The box contains the last few good pieces of her childhood. Logically she knows that the space in the bag would be better used for more practical supplies but this is all she has left of the times before the abuse started.
She closes the bag with an echoing zip sounds and slings it over her shoulder before rushing out to meet six in her now blood soaked living room. "I've got everything" she glances down at the body and immediately regrets it, quickly looking away again. "Le-lets get out of here before anyone finds us with a dead body "

Six nods and hurries out of the apartment with Raven, rushing with her back to his car. He hisses through gritted teeth as he puts his seatbelt on, the fabric digging into his wound.
They speed off back to the safe house, and as soon as they’re secure in the closed garage Six stumbles out of his car and into the house, making a beeline for the bathroom. While he really would’ve rather just helped Raven inside and talked to her — he could see how she was dissociating — he needs to get his bleeding under control.
Sounds of cabinet doors slamming and groaning can be heard as Six pulls a first aid kit from under the sink and takes his suit jacket off. He peels off his blood-soaked shirt and inspects his wound, prodding at it with his fingers. Seems like the assailant missed his liver and kidney, thank god. All he has to do is stitch it and wrap it.
Raven holds her bag in her arms in the car, her brain feels like it's trying to swim through syrup. Her mind vaguely recognising his hiss of pain but not working quick enough to ask him about it before he's rushing into the house.
Her movements are slow as she gets put if the car, her brain only speeding up again when she sees the trail of blood following after Six. Her body speeds up and quickly follows him, chucking her bag onto the couch after making sure the lock on the door was fixed in place.
She follows the trail of blood drops to the bathroom door. "Six? Are you hurt?" Her voice is tense, frayed thin with worry. "Please let me in so I can help you." She attempts to open the bathroom door, finding it locked.

Six grits his teeth as he starts stitching up his wound, his eyes flicking to the door when he hears Raven speak. He shakes his head, though he knows Raven can’t see him. “It’s okay, you’ve seen enough blood for one day. I can stitch this up myself,” he says as he continues stitching, his breathing labored.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head to make himself more alert. He can’t afford to pass out in the middle of stitching his wound.
Six sighs, his head hanging low. He nods again. “Alright. Yeah, I’ll keep talking,” he says before continuing to stitch up his wound.
“I recall earlier you said you used to wish to see me again after you had run away. Why’s that?” He recalls being nice to her, but aside from just being decent around her he can’t say why she’d ever think about him after she ran away. Especially after he wound up in prison.
When he finishes stitching up his wound he cuts the suture and places a gauze pad over the wound before wrapping his midsection with self-adherent compression bandage.
“There, I’m done,” he says before unlocking and opening the door, still breathing heavily as he leans on the doorframe. He doesn’t bother putting his shirt back on, given that it’s a blood-soaked mess.
Six merely listens as Raven talks about her past. How he was there for her…
He begins walking towards the living room and gestures for her to follow. “There’s no way I could forget any of that. You always deserved better. You never deserved any of what that bastard did to you. I try not to think about it though, because it just.. makes me angry,” he says as he slowly sits down on the couch, groaning.
When Raven sits beside him he turns his head to look at her. “While I did miss you, I was glad you left. It was the only way for you to be safe.” He sighs, falling back against the couch and resting his head back on it, looming away from her. “Seems like I’ve messed that up for you now though.”
Six shakes his head. “That doesn’t sound silly. Not to me. I would’ve loved that. The twins would’ve too. But I feel like if we all tried leaving together we would’ve been caught. And most of us would’ve ended up dying. Maybe all of us would’ve.”
He doesn’t pull away when Raven rests her head on his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arm around her waist, holding her close. He hopes the gesture is comforting.
“I.. I missed you too. But I wish we hadn’t met today. Because of me you’re in danger all over again.”
Six sighs, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Raven. “You would’ve had to wait a long time. I wasn’t eligible for parole until 2031.”
He hums as he looks down at her. “I didn’t know that.. I would’ve liked to receive letters from you.”
He chuckles when she yawns. “You should get some sleep. You can take my bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Six can’t help but smile back at Raven as he stands up off the couch. He glances away from her as he shrugs. “Don’t mention it.”
Once Raven is secured in the bedroom Six makes up the couch for himself, tossing a pillow on one end and a thin blanket on the other. He grabs his handgun, checking that the mag is full and the chamber is loaded before setting it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
He also sets his laptop up on the coffee table, the screen displaying all the camera feeds of his security system.
After that Six heads into the kitchen and whips up a sandwich, scarfing it down and chugging a couple of glasses of water before he sits down on the couch. He spends about an hour just watching the camera feeds before he finally lays down, pulling his blanket up to his waist as he shuts his eyes.
Colt! How’s my baby brother doing? Say, is Tom Ryder out of prison yet? I’d really like to talk to him.

Six briefly glances at the paper before taking it and stuffing it in his pocket. “Of course. Hypothetically.” He stands, straightening his jacket.
“I’ll be back Colt.”
Without another word he leaves Colt’s place, off to take care of this hypothetical business.
He comes back hours later, knuckles and face bruised and bloody, one hand pressed under his right pectoral. “I’m pleased to report that Ryder now understands how you felt, Colt,” he says before plopping down onto Colt’s couch, groaning.
Colt blinks as Six actually gets up and leaves, leaving his younger brother properly perplexed. Was he... actually going to go deal with Ryder? Nah, he wouldn't... right? Colt eventually decides that he wouldn't mind that.
He is in his kitchen, finishing up a little dinner for himself when Court walks back in. He immediately hones in on how battered the other man is, which makes him follow him into the living room.
"Jeez, Court," he laughs slightly. "I seriously can't tell who won that fight."
Six glares at Colt as he leans back against the couch. “I did, of course. This isn’t all from Ryder — I had to deal with some guards too.”
He lets his head fall back against the couch as he shuts his eyes, sighing. “What’re you cooking Colt? Smells good.”
"I figured that, Ryder's too much of a coward to land all those blows." He inspects Court for a second, making sure there was no intense bleeding before looking back into the kitchen.
"Oh, it's just some potatoes and chicken. I'll make you a plate, you look like you need it." He disappears back into the next room and came back a few minutes later with two plates and an ice pack.
He sits down next to Court, handing over the ice and his share of the food. "Use this to keep down the swollen. You can't afford to look any uglier," he jokes.
Six laughs, groaning when the action makes his ribs hurt. “You’ve got that right. Didn’t take long for him to start begging.”
He nods. “I guess I do. Thanks Colt.”
He sits up when he sees Colt come back with the food, taking the plate and the ice pack with a nod. He rolls his eyes, chuckling at his brother’s joke as he presses the ice pack to his face. “We’re practically identical asshole,” he jokes back, flashing a smile at Colt before he begins eating.
"Sure, but I'm definitely the hotter brother," he jokes. He settles back into the couch before he starts eating, too, digging happily into his food. Really, it was the first time in days since he made himself a proper meal.
He practically inhales all of it and sets his plate down on the coffee table. He leans his head against the spine of the sofa and sighs heavily.
"God, my back's been killing me," he groans as a wave of pain flooded through his shoulders.
Six chuckles, rolling his eyes again. “Sure. Keep telling yourself that.”
He finishes his food soon after Colt and sets his fork down, leaning back against the couch. He turns his head to look at his brother, brows furrowed with concern. “Old injury flaring up again? Need me to get something for you?” He asks as he sits up, groaning.
He waves off Court's concerns. "Don't act like you can get up," he teases. He arches into a stretch, wincing as his spine crackles and pops with pain, but it ends up being enough for him to rest comfortably into the sofa.
He grabs the blanket that is folded up on the arm of the couch and drapes it over himself. While he did pay his heating bill for that month, it didn't mean it was exceptionally helpful.
"Did you come over for any other reason besides beating Ryder to a pulp?"
Six chuckles and shrugs, lying back against the couch. He sighs, crossing his arms over his chest as he rests his head on the spine of the couch. “I also just wanted to see you. It’s been a while after all.. nice to see family after all the crap I’ve been doing.”
He sighs again, shutting his eyes. He says nothing for a few long moments and then opens his eyes, slowly and reluctantly getting up off the couch. “I wish I could stay longer. But I gotta go — don’t wanna get you into any trouble.”
"Woah, hey!" Colt yelps before reaching out to grab Court's arm. There is a determined look on his face that should tell Court everything he needs to know-- Colt is very determined to keep them there.
"Don't even think about it. You just got beat up, you could barely walk when you came in here! At least stay for a little while. Like, until you can actually move properly."
He nods to the inconspicuous coffee table. "I have a gun in the drawer of that coffee table, so if anyone shows up, it'll be fine. C'mon, Court."
Six sighs and looks down at his brother. He’s never been able to say no to him or Ryland. “Alright,” he relents, sitting back down on the couch.
He glances over at the coffee table, briefly wondering what gun Colt has stored in there. A Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 10mm? A Ruger 5.7? A Beretta M9? So many options. Not all of them good however.
“Since you want me to stay so bad, mind if I spend the night? I could really use a comfortable place to sleep.”
Colt grins triumphantly when Court sinks back into his sofa. He likes when being a stubborn brat works out in his favour.
"Yeah, of course. I got a spare bedroom that you can crash in," he says before standing up. He stretches out his permanently stiff back so that he can move around a bit more comfortably.
"Hold on, let me go set it up."
Six rolls his eyes, chuckling.
He hakes his head as he grabs Colt’s arm, holding him in place. “No need, I’ll just sleep on the couch. If someone breaks in I’ll be able to take care of it right away. They won’t have a chance of making it to you.”
While he’s always been protective of his brothers because of their dad, he’s become even more so due to his work in the Sierra Program. Because wherever he goes, danger follows.
At least now he has training.
