ghost here
slow clunky groggy day , I feel held down by tiny insignificant things , like the accumulation of coffee grounds in the drain over time , leading to apocalypse , I love life however , even when it locks me in my body ,
thoughts on moving to hawaii
If you do it for Love it's perfect. Alone it can get a little silly. Energy moves fast, but the infrastructure moves sooo slowww, which can be beautiful to observe. You will wake up extremely early without effort somehow, roosters or not. If you're a girl, especially, you will have a great time, men will take you to secret waterfalls every day. You will have so few belongings. You will get better at touching bugs and hiking barefoot
my Venice Beach timeline ages 5-13: Dad's coolest friend, Paulo, lives right off Abbott Kinney. He always has balcony parties with barefoot people playing guitar. When we visit, my parents point at the clown ballerina sculpture. I say how amazing Venice is. My mother and sister don't agree. My dad takes everyone who visits us in LA to Venice, citing that "you can see all kinds of crazy thing". 14-19: I hop on the 1 bus to go to Venice Beach to be free and bad as often as I can. I'm such a hippie. My fingers are full of junk rings that turn my skin green, all from the boardwalk. I see the homeless people as nomadic hippies, and have various street friends. The first time I smoke weed is from an apple in a Venice alleyway with Marisa and Brando. I often find incredible things in the alleyways. Venice gives me light and joy and confidence. 20-23: I move out of my parents house to a 1 bedroom with my best friend on the corner of Oakwood and Lincoln, right by the vice building and the new erewhon, 1 mile from the ocean. I develop my painting and posting style, I use dating apps like crazy, dating every type in the area, from sober tattooed chefs to warby-parker-glasses tech types, I get my paintings up at Abbott's Habit, I ride a janky rusty yellow bike, I start the meme page. I go on long walks to the ocean, wishing it was closer. 27: My very first book deal comes to me by way of a dinner at Rose Cafe on Rose Ave , a block away from the clown ballerina sculpture. 30, now : I immediately click with a new friend , Harper, who wants to share a westside apartment with me , my longtime goal. We find an airy apartment right off the beach. We wake up and test a new coffee place every morning, we have a beach stroll every few hours. It's so great to be home

I still haven’t found what I’m looking for
by U2
my dad loved U2 and would blast it in the living room when I Was very young and i'd write the lyrics down in my journal like it was such a big deal and i'd get sooo emotional to U2 so Yes that era of U2 is beautiful to me. I am singing it in my head now and I believe I know all the words to that one. If not most of the words . Great song for when you're dating a lot, or even travelling a lot, but taking yourself with you, getting the same results, etc
