im too exhausted to make a post fully explaining this all but i've left tumblr due to a spike of antiBlack racism on this website. please keep uplifting the words of otherkin of color on this site. and for the love of god stop fucking doomposting under people's activism, im sick and tired of you white fucks going "theres nothing we can do but lie down and wait" when some of us are trying to get shit to be better.
in general a lot of yall need to get your fucking shit together. i no longer have the energy to be sympathetic to yall. stand up for otherkin of color & transfem otherkin or log the fuck off. stop with the "i dont reblog gaza posts bc i dont have money" and spread their gofundmes. reblog mutual aid. people are dying and you cant even hit reblog on tumblr because of your guilt. fucking do the bare fucking minimun for people, and then do more. im tired of having to post about this shit over and over again. i hope somebody else can post about it while im gone but i also hope that y'all get your shit together and this doesn't need to be a reoccurring discussion.
for now, i gotta focus on my health as a Black person. i'll see y'all later if i come back to this account.
like idk this selfish victim complex most of yall have be pissing me off. yall want community but do nothing 4 it. you cant reblog donation posts you cant engage in conversation about racism within the community you cant engage in conversation about how we need to be doing more for the community beyond inner-community validity politics like people are out here dying and being physically abused and being hurt but yall just go online like "i am so puppy and i am so scared" from your white suburban neighborhood
people out here getting their asses beat by crowds of people but tumblr user in a country who is not directly affected by this at all is kicking their feet going "well people are getting hurt physically so no i cannot engage in quite literally any conversation about thsi other than going "see? we are oppressed!" because umm what about me and also i cant do anything. we will all die soon"

What is your nationality?
i am geologically located within the united states but do not refer to myself as a usamerican beyond sharing my location bc there is no pride in being a resident of this country. burn this government down and give the indigenous people back their land. i am Black/African diaspora first & foremost.
exhausted of the self-victimization of people under my post who aren't even directly affected by the attacks on us like can we be serious for a moment. "what can we do" so if you read my post
we cannot be hand-holding people who are dedicated to the thought process that we are a helpless group who can make no stand for ourselves like okay damn then i'm doing this shit without you. you can either get the fuck up and find SOMETHING to contribute or get out of my way quite honestly!

like idk man. you cannot choose your own emotions and feelings and identity. you can choose your outlook on the world and reaction based on your own experiences, you can choose your labels and what you share. but how can you choose the deep rooted knowledge and feeling and experience of being an entirely different species and/or person. how can you choose that experience. that is the experience that the therian and 'kin labels are set out to label. the way these people use "choice therian" or whatever is an oxymoron.
like these types r always shooting for kff too as if kff dont throw the entire otherkin community under the bus the second they feel the heat or actually engage with a conversation with an otherkin for the first time. "im not actually an animal/this character/this species i just like to say i am. im not like those other people :3" while using our labels..... that mean that you really are those things....... like this iswhy i will never take that crowd seriously sorry if ur fight for acceptance in the community includes the people who r actively throwing us under the bus and make public opinion of us worse and spread misinformation im not taking you seriously lmfao.
maybe its my own misunderstanding and im onto nothing but i do feel like there is just so much misunderstanding of what voluntary and involuntary means like. there is further conversation in regards to the "binary" of voluntary vs involuntary. ultimately not something im going to get into as i personally and we as a community have more important issues going on but it always irritates me when people r like calling people "the evil gatekeepers" or some shit like stfu lmfao.
my stance will always be that the only "voluntary" part of being a therian is your choice to label yourself as a therian and your choice to engage in your identity. like ultimately i think it is normal for people to want a community that is based around the involuntary identity of being an animal and i wish people did not try to go "but what about #me" like idgaf im gonna be honest. we will get nothing done for ourselves as a community if we have to keep centering our conversations around everyone being valid or everyone being welcomed in every space. where tf are we going to get within our liberation if we keeping needing to have this conversation.
sorry for not posting more here. i very much intended to after my last post about the situations happening in south america but tumblr has ultimately become rather bad for my mental health due to a large influx of anti-Black posts i've been seeing recently so its like. not been the best for me to be logged into this account.

y'all, nows the time to start doing more.
a lot of you have responded to the attacks on therians in multiple countries in south america (and apparently europe now, from what i'm hearing) with tucking your tail between your legs and going "see, we are oppressed!"
so? what are you going to do about it? we cannot just sit here and idle. even if you cannot be there in the moment, we need to start building a foundation of which we can make a change. and that foundation is not built off of vibes-based politics. we have to actually start thinking about how we will reach our own liberation.
think about the physical attacks that have happened in our community. who are the victims who have been injured? is there any way we can provide financial aid towards them in regards to getting medical treatment? have they spoken up about anything? how are we going to handle this going forward?
who are the people who are actively in areas that have had these attacks? have they talked about what the environment is like? we need to start giving folks who are actually directly harmed by this a platform to elevate their voices. by learning more from those who are actually directly having this happen to them, we can start to build a foundation in which we learn how to go forward.
the answer to this situation is not to keep hiding in the shadows, hoping that there is a part that is dark enough to hide us for good and for people to forget about us. there is no more shadow to hide in. so what will we do now?
we cannot let the community continue to just be a fun little space for people to hide away and ignore the troubles of the world. this has harmed members within our own community, primarily those racialized, and it is now more than ever a behavior that will hurt the whole community.
change starts with you. so let's actually try and make some productive change.
Currently information in English is fairly sparse, but: the jist seems to be that Latin American media began talking about and sensationalising therians. As a result, right-wingers in Spain and several Spanish-speaking countries and territories, such as Mexico, Argentina and Puerto Rico, started producing viral content to throw fuel on the fire.
Fake videos have been created with AI showing theriform dogs attacking therians. (News article in Spanish debunking the videos.)
Fake meetups were organised hastily in an attempt to gather real therians so they could be attacked. Not many actual therians showed up, but a few did. Here's a post from a therian which includes videos and photos showing assaults, and talks about the AI posters.
This news article mentions that in the state of Yucatán, a therian attending a meetup was pelted with eggs by a young woman who was later arrested.
Here's another Tumblr post by a therian discussing it. In the comments, other therians mention stories they've heard, in particular this Puerto Rican therian who talks about attacks on children.
Lastly, here's an article from the media outlet Plataforma about the general trend.

Yes to all of this. I feel like some are changing from "this is terrible" to "well, they'll forget about us in a month and everything will be back to normal" way too fast. It's also probably not knowing what to do, since a lot of people probably don't know much about organizing or activism besides "get local government to pass a law" (extremely surface-level understanding that's also difficult to achieve). Offline is also different from the internet, so there's probably also the fact missing that the work done now might not be seen immediately, which is very normal (you yourself may or may not reap the benefits, but those younger than you should years down the line).
I haven't made an original post for it since it's still in the very early drafting stage, but I'm working on a free e-booklet (/document/pdf) that others in the community can hopefully use as a springboard for organizing
#how to organize without much preexisting stuff is my biggest question
we are not the first to be put into a situation like this. my honest answer: look at what others before us have done in situations like this. look at workers movements, civil rights movements, women's rights movements, queer movements. read theory, look at what others have done to make steps for their own liberation. take those details and ask "how do we apply that to our own liberation?"
more now than ever there are more resources out there to help us organize these sort of things. we just have to put in the time and effort of learning and then acting.
