❱❱❱ a gem ! // @siilverstrung
the streets were as long as they were uniform —well, to a point. there was a sense of structure she’d expected in a laboratory & yet between the stone & glass, there was history. architecture of old blended seamlessly with sleeker buildings more art than anything livable.
but this was atlas. & she made everything move for her.
penny’s brow furrowed, her green eyes scanning the glimmer of buildings she didn’t recognize. everything is fine. turning around to see that she didn’t actually look where she was going. okay! maybe not. as her gaze fell upon scintillating windows — where something seemed to move the light in subtle, dazzling ways — & she moved forward with caution.
slipping through the door, inquisitive, penny peered around. she was, for the most, obscured. in the distance, behind a counter that shimmered as sunlight danced against every jewel. there was a fair woman, whose face was indecipherable. she smiled, gentle but softly.
❛ oh — ! ❜ taken off guard, she entered hastily. patting down her pinafore, she clasped her hands together as she composed herself, ❛ salutations ! i am penny ! i am afraid i may have gotten — ❜ she paused, as her eyes drifted around the room.
❛ these are very pretty ! did you make these ? ❜
Ah, easily distracted, it seemed. Such
sweet && easily distracted little girls
were a rarity of this particular street.
Rather, she had more of the spoiled
darlings who pretended indifference
towards her wares but whispering all
sorts of things behind her back.
Such endearing openness was quite
refreshing, && she smiles sincerely
at the young woman, offering a soft
wave at her.
“I did indeed,” She chuckled slightly.
“I’m Kasumi Junan - the owner of this
store.” The awe the girl displays over
viewing her wares inspires a deep set
glow of pride within her, && Kasumi
does her best not to preen. “You seem
to be quite interested in what I have
here. Are you browsing for yourself or
did this location just catch your fancy?”
