Dagny feels so dirty, yet I’m so afraid to wash her…

this evening, we’re going to Warsaw, and tomorrow we’re going to pride, so Dagny will get to see it all for the first time!

Went bone hunting at the beach and took Cedar with me! We cycled there and she rode in my rucksack. Found lots of bones and had a lovely time. 🐚🌊 I think I might get her some waterproof boots though as her paws got a little wet.

it’s my birthday today!

I turned 22.

every year, this day feels a little less special than it did when I was a kid. it’s a little sad, but I guess that’s just how life goes.

My main ESSA Cedar has a harness now! It's amazing how much comfort she brings when I take her out and about. I don't care that I'm an adult, I'll take a stuffed animal everywhere I go.

No one has to prove themselves to you if they are “allowed” to use the term, someone’s medical history and disability aid use is not something you need to know unless they wanna share

If you’re immediate reaction to someone saying they use a plush to help their disability is “prove it” I think you gotta sit down and think about why that is

it’s a similar thing with all disability aids, if you went up to someone using any aid asking them to prove themselves as disabled because they don’t look disabled enough to you to be using that aid, please work through your ableism

Even if you don't think their aid works, whatever it is, if they say it helps them, it helps them. It is not your place to dictate what someone is allowed to find support from

okay, I have some news for you guys:

• I sold Freya and Floppy, which means I can finally buy Chase the Border Collie! yes, I’m a little sad about letting Freya go, but her brown fur honestly started to bother me, and I just couldn’t really bond with her. I also thought it would be nice to give Freya’s lore to the new plush, because I love it so much and think it’s really unique. plus, if I ever want to, I can always buy another Kita Akita plush in the future.

• I finally started my YouTube channel! you can already watch Dagny’s grwm there! I’ve wanted to make YouTube videos for such a long time, and now I finally feel brave enough to do it. I plan to post not only plushie-related content, but also videos about my other hobbies like art, journaling, and more.

• oh, and yes, I changed my username! It used to be “silans-inner-child”, but I realized I just don’t like my old one anymore.

• we reached 100+ followers!!! I honestly never thought I’d ever hit this number on this blog, but here we are. thank you all so much for your support!

• I’m much more active on TikTok stories these days, so if you’ve missed me, you can follow me there too :D

This is how it looks like, I based it on Polish ID with layout (I don't know if other countries have the same or not, didn't check)

Here is how it can look like (the only difference is the blur present and not around the ID photo, it depends on what program you use to edit it, but you can of course just turn the blur off if you don't like it)

Btw don't worry, it's not my number, but feel free to call Ghostbusters

Instructions:

Decide what app/website you will be using. I will be giving you two different ways of making this. You can either use Canva or InDesign (or any app/website that can run INDD or IDML)

Read further instructions if you're not sure how to do it, I will only make instructions for Canva and InDesig cause I don't use other apps/websites

Please don't delete my social media at the bottom, no need for further credits but I want it to stay there, feel free to add your social media to the ID

You can of course print it and give it to your ESSA

Have fun, feel free to ask for help with making it if you don't know how to do something :3

Canva:

Click HERE to open the ID in Canva

Click Uploads on the side panel and upload a photo of your ESSA

Drag the photo onto the rectangle

Write your ESSA's name

You can add your phone number, delete it or even change it to your mail address or whatever you want

You can change the text instruction for the finder if you want to, it's meant to be your ESSA's ID after all

Indesign:

Click HERE to download the files from Google Drive (INDD and IDML as well as PDF, fonts and images included)

Unzip it

Open the choosen file in InDesign

Click the gray rectangle, press Ctrl+D on your keyboard and choose the photo you want there

I really want a border collie from douglas ahhh 😭 I can’t stop thinking about it lately!! I wish I had a job so I could buy all the plushies and other stuff I want by myself. I hate asking my parents for money. I’m almost 22 and I feel like I haven’t achieved anything in this life. (yes, I survived a flicking war and moving to another country, but those are not my intentional achievements, if you know what I mean.)
