my birthday was yesterday! had a quiet celebration with my best friend and logan. kind of super depressed that i won’t be feeling 22 anymore, but i’m sure 23 will be good to me. if anyone wants any leftover cake, let me know, there’s a ton and i’m going to end up eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the rest of the week!

What?! Turtles are adorable! They look like weird, Benjamin Button old people but reptilian and really small. The only thing cuter than a turtle is a goblin shark because of their big ole’ slimey noses.

You and I clearly have very different perceptions on what ‘cute’ means.

Oh wow, I love that. Very few can actually pull that look off, but I can see you doing so just fine. What kind of knife was used to slash it, can you tell? There’s probably someone who majors in like, I dunno, criminal justice who could help identify it.  I think that’s the first thing I’d try to figure out, based on all the True Crime docs I’ve watched on Netflix. 

I’m not really a knife guy, so I have no idea. That’s a good tip, though, I’ll have to ask around.

Still no leads, unfortunately. Benji and I are breaking out the detective gear this weekend, though. I bought a trench coat just for the occasion. And because I looked damn good in it at the store.

I know, I know, but they’re so damn cute it’s so hard. I’m trying too hard to be a cool dad. I’m sure someone could dig back into my childhood and trace it to how I was raised but I’m just not a strict turtle father, I don’t have it in me. 

I mean, maybe I could agree if they were like... bunnies, or something, but I’m not really sure I’ve ever seen a “cute” turtle that wasn’t animated.
