The Phantom (1996)

First rewatch since 96, I forgot how bad it was.

After a quick introduction it’s straight into adventure mode with Rings, Skulls, ancient brotherhoods, female Pirates, Billy Zane with hair and Dexter’s dad in this 30s set adventure. An extremely campy romp with cheesy writing, bad acting and fantastically Stoic British stereotypes galore.

It’s not very good, think the mummy meets Indiana Jones but it’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull rather than Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I shall be waiting a long time before I watch it for a third time.
