We need to talk about something that‘s too often ignored: boys and men can be victims of sexual abuse too. It happens more than people think, just less than people talk about. Too many boys grow up in silence, carrying confusion, shame or fear because they‘ve been taught that what happend to them „doesn‘t count“, or that they should have been strong enough to stop it.
But pain doesn’t care about gender. Sexual abuse is never the victim’s fault. Being male doesn’t make someone immune to harm. It doesn’t make the experieneces less real, less painfull, or less damaging. And it doesn’t take away their right to be believed, supported, and taken seriously.
If you are a boy or man who has been through this: you are not alone. What happend to you matters. You deserve to be heard, to heal, and to be treated with compassion and respect.
