we come to you today with a somewhat sad announcement. After much deliberation, we admins have decided to close Silencio- at least for now. We had been so excited for the one year event and have so much still in store for this little world, but the truth is, we’re tired. Life has taken its toll on the both of us and we need some time.Â

Hey there little grey! That is a great question, Molly does help in a lot of ways but this is younger Molly. A Molly not yet so hardened by life. She will eventually become a full fledged member of the Order but that won’t happen until she has been taken for a while as there is actually a plot around this. :)

DESIRED CHARACTER:
Desired Character: Arabella Figg
Why This Character?: I’m interested in Arabella firstly because she is a squib. I believe it provides a unique perspective to this story line. To be a pure blood without magic should have made her an outcast, but Arabella chose to stay and thrust herself into the throng of wizards and witches alike. I think it shows a lot of character for her. I also think it’d be challenging to write a character that is at such a basic disadvantage in such a ferocious environment. The other reason Arabella piqued my interest is her relation to the order. I think it’s an extraordinarily unique role. Being an informant is dangerous, but thrilling all at the same time. I’d love to dip into that plot line and explore how Arabella maintains her position and nurses it to be a success. I also this as a major catalyst for character development. To be without magic but still be a power player is definitely something to be proud of, and I’d like to work through that process with her.

Headcanons:
Headcanon One: Arabella is ambidextrous. Her lack of magic inspired her to strive for perfection in other areas. As a young girl, Arabella spent hours training the muscles in her right hand to function at the level that her dominant, left hand did. It took her years to be able to flawlessly transition between the two. Now, it’s become handy for the sake of having to styles of hand writing. Arabella uses her dominant hand for her work and personal life, and uses her right hand for task or owls related to the order. It’s simply another counter measure to insure her identity remains obscured.

Headcanon Two: Arabella has always been a large fan of herbology and potion making. Obviously, she cannot make such things herself, but the craft fascinates her. Now, she only comes in contact with such things through Niniane’s protection measures. You could even chalk up her job to an outlying reach at being a potion maker. In the creamery, she’s able to concoct flavor combinations much like a wizard would a potion.
Headcanon Three: Arabella speaks three languages. Arabella is fluent in English, French, and Italian. Her childhood was spent being bounced around countries between family members in an attempt to hide her lack of magic. These extended vacations, as her mother preferred to label them, immersed her in various cultures. She’d always been an intelligent and perfection seeking woman; it was no wonder she took every advantage she could from the world around her.
