Really dumb idea:

After Simon and Grace are at least somewhat bonded, for whatever reason they're put in a situation where they need to defend themselves. Grace, however, is a leaky space blob.

Simon does what the Butcher does best. Even one armed, hes a one man army.

Simon wanted to leave that life behind him, to put down the title of Butcher. He never wanted Grace to see him like this.
