Silent Hill Fact #16
In Silent Hill 4, Eileen has an unlockable nurse costume. To obtain the costume, you must beat the game a second time and obtain the “mother” or the “escape” ending. Once you unlock the costume, it can be found in the second time through the apartment world in Eileen’s apartment.
Silent Hill Fact #15
The company Mondo, created a few vinyl presses for both the Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 soundtracks. The Silent Hill soundtrack had various press variants including; black, snowfall, and white. The Silent Hill 2 soundtrack had the variants; black, blood, and fog. Each of these vinyl presses are limited and hard to find.
Silent Hill Fact #14
In the movie “Silent Hill” (2006), the town is based off of a town in Pennsylvania called Centralia. This town is burning underneath the ground and gas emits from the concrete. It was caused by a coal mine fire and is still burning today. The town was condemned and most of the residents have abandoned the town. As of 2019, 9 people remain in the town.
Silent Hill Fact #13
The developers came up with the name “Silent Hill” from the town Shizouka in Japan. The town is considered quiet and has plateaus, so the name was translated literally to “Silent Hill”. The name was then used as a placeholder for the game. When developers outside of Japan heard this name, they gave positive reviews and the developing team decided to keep the name.

Donna Burke, who voices both Claudia Wolf and Angela Orosco, is a singer and released an album called “Game + Anime =“ in 2018. On the album, she has a song dedicated to each of the characters. The songs are called; “No One Can Save Me (Angela’s Song)” and “To Suffer Is To Love (Claudia’s Song)”
Silent Hill Fact #11
The patient monster from Silent Hill 4 uses the same character model as Claudia Wolf from Silent Hill 3. It is theorized that the patient is actually Claudia, and Walter knew her from the cult. It is also theorized that he didn’t have a good relationship with her and that she helped in his abuse at Wish House. He then kills her and proceeds to operate on her in the scene that Henry awakes in the Hospital world.
Silent Hill Fact #10
The Eileen Head is said to symbolize Eileen directing the voyeurism back onto Henry. This is due to him checking in her well-doing through the peephole.
Silent Hill Fact #9
Elle Holloway from Silent Hill Homecoming was originally supposed to be an adult version of Laura from Silent Hill 2. Her original name was “Laura Elizabeth Holloway” and she was supposed to be wearing James Sunderland’s jacket during the boat scene. This idea was eventually scrapped.

Team Silent designed Walter Sullivan from Silent Hill 4 to look like Brendan Fraser.

The original character design for Henry included a brown jacket and a green t-shirt. This design was eventually scrapped and the new design has Henry dressed in a grey button up shirt. The original Henry model can still be found in the game codes for Silent Hill 4.

In Silent Hill 2, several bloodied corpses can be found throughout the game. These corpses are actually the same character model as James’.

When Monica Taylor Horgan was recorded reading Mary’s letter, it took her only one take to record. As she was reading, everyone in the room cried listening to her.

The body that the closer was eating in the first monster cutscene in Silent Hill 3, is actually the same character model for Angela Orosco from Silent Hill 2.
Silent Hill Fact #3
Konami partnered with MTV and the band Taking Back Sunday to create a promo music video for the song “This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)” and Silent Hill 4. The video shows clips of Henry in the Daisy Villa apartments from Silent Hill 3. There’s also a cameo from Heather in the video.
Guy Cihi (voice of James Sunderland / right) and Dave Schaufele (voice of Eddie Dombrowski / left) became best friends years after making Silent Hill 2 and even work and do projects together as of 2018.
