Higurashi When They Cry spoilers below:
I really should read more visual novels. I'm reading Higurashi right now (with the original graphics and soundtrack of course) and it's so fucking good. I just finished Watanagashi-hen and now it seems like without a doubt, something supernatural is going on.
We know Mion is actually a psychotic serial killer, but Rena doesn't seem to be, even though she helped Mion last time. Rena's weird behavior in Onikakushi could have maybe been explained by her being injected with the drug they used to control Tomitake and make him kill himself. But this time, both Mion and Shion definitely died, and yet Demon Mion was still under Keiichi's hospital bed at the end, so the demon is unquestionably more than just psychosis or drugs.
Where is this going though? And is there a reason why things start over every chapter, or are they all "what if" scenarios of how the same events would play out if different choices were made? I dunno, but I can't put it down. I hope there's a satisfying conclusion at the end of all this.
By the way, I'm reading it in Japanese and English side by side, cause you can switch between them with a hotkey, and the English translation is... bad, it's really bad. To the point where if I didn't speak Japanese too, I don't think I'd be able to understand like 10% of the script
The Legend of Link: A Zelda to the Past
beat this score lol
Damn near impossible on a touch screen, but... Never give up, never surrender. But I do think I could do a lot better than this if I actually sat down at my computer.
I played Rune Factory 4 and LOVED it. And then I started getting burnt out on it. And then a little later I played Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and I really really liked it. But then I started getting burnt out on it. I also played the original Harvest Moon on SNES and it was a great time! And I actually finished it! But by the end, I was burnt out on the farming and life sim genre as a whole.
Anyway, I'm craving it again, but I feel like I'd be so lost if I jumped back into Rune Factory 4 or Friends of Mineral Town again after all this time, and my mind voice keeps telling me to just start a different one. Maybe Rune Factory 3 or 5 if I want the action RPG stuff too, but also maybe Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. At the same time, I feel some regret for abandoning RF4 before seeing the end of the story, even though I can't remember any of it. I remember I got to the credits, and it seemed like the game was over, but then there was more, and the internet told mev that I was actually only 1/3 of the way done, and that the game has two fakeout "endings" where the credits roll before the real ending.
I dunno. I'm not sure what to do, really. Should I go back to RF4 and try to refresh my memory about which townspeople I'm close with, who they are and what they've told me about their lives, what kinds of experiences we've been through together, what they like and dislike, and what's going on in the main story? Or should I just start clean and fresh with one of the other games?
Help me decide. What should I do??
Finish Rune Factory 4
Play Rune Factory 3
Play Rune Factory 5
Play A Wonderful Life
The Danish training ship âGeorg Stageâ (1934) dresses in rainbow colour, 2021Â
not the kind of gay ship Iâm used to seeing on tumblr but cool
ship georg is an outlier but SHOULD be counted
I really wish this ship was a schooner instead of being full-rigged so I could call it Schooners Georg đ
Playing Hi-Fi Rush again. So fucking good. I wonder what it would even take to get a sequel made? Who even owns the rights now?
WAIT TANGO GAMEWORKS WAS BOUGHT AND REVIVED BY ANOTHER PUBLISHER AND HI-FI RUSH 2 IS OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT?!
Tango Gameworks had a six-month old build of a Hi-Fi Rush sequel when the studio was acquired by Krafton back in August.
Playing Hi-Fi Rush again. So fucking good. I wonder what it would even take to get a sequel made? Who even owns the rights now?
How do they always know exactly what I'll like??
âGhosts are realâ I can see how you could believe that

Being overly-familiar with a series is such a weird burden sometimes because like
youâll see some theory being passed around that you instantly know is wrong. Like itâs surprising to see people supporting it because the flaws in its logic are so glaringly obvious. Until it hits you that, yeah itâs wrong, but only because you were able to immediately remember the 5 second conversation between two background characters 17 minutes through s2e13 that definitively disproves it. And no casual fan would have any reason to remember that off the top of their head and itâs you whoâs the weird human encyclopedia with a shot-for-shot memory the entire damn series.
Like at that point you donât even know anymore whether to argue your point or justâŠmaybe go outside for a little bit.
