okay so i lowk influenced myself to write a little ficlet or wtv⊠i also was planning to write one anyways bc we were lowk in a kls fic drought (blessed is @branchnation who has some banger lined up for us) and i was THIRSTY. so this does have kevron but itâs not super romantic or heavy on them ig?? itâs basically about why kevin and aaron canât sit next to one another during KLS2 videos (from my headcaons) with a side of kevron.
anyways, so this is set in the BNU but like after Aaron and Kevin are 1. already together and 2. have told everyone. enjoyyyyyyy and pls lmk what yâall think/ if anyone has anymore ideas

The resounding sound of the plastic table breaking under the weight of four grown men, stops all surrounding movement. On the camera screen you can see a tangle of limbs- all freezing their ministrations at the sound. Four heads turn with faces varying from exasperation to a strange mix of apprehension, dulled amusement and complete astonishment.
Kevin mumbles, âwell at least we didnât fuck up the mics.â
Everything is still. Well that is until Aaronâs grip slips on his spilled C4 and he plops into Kevinâs chest, causing Kevin to fall back with a small thud at the unexpected weight. A resulting cracking sound and the subtle cutting off of the staticky feedback, informs everyone that the mic packs- or at least Kevinâs for that matter- are in fact NOT okay.
âFuuuuuuuucking hell.â
A loud irritated groan can be heard from Kevin as he covers his face with one of his hands, the other comes down to cradle the back of Aaronâs head in effort to self soothe. Aaron does a resulting soft kiss on his covered chest. Kevin releases a breath of air he didn't know he was holding.
Fuck, that sounded expensive. But in his future defense for his bank account, heâs TOTALLY still blaming all of this on Aaron.
An hour and a half earlier.
Zane is walking behind the camera when he turns to look at Kevin in front of the screen.
âHey Kevin, which game do you want to start with?â
Kevin glances up from the table heâs currently setting up for the KLS2 video.
âUmm⊠I honestly canât remember which games I brought today.â
âYou brought cards Against Humanity and some word guessing game?! It has some inflatable thing with it. I donât know but it was in the car, so i brought it in.â Aaron yells from the couch, while still intently looking at his phone.
âThanks! Uhh I would say we can start with the guessing game Zane. It should take the least amount of time.â
In leu of responding, Kevin just nods his head and focuses back on trying to get this damn table open. He swears it wasnât this difficult to lock last week. Maybe someone broke it and didnât tell him. Maybe he broke it. Doesnât matter, this damn thing needs to lock so they can get a move on with shooting. Kevin moves to pull the inside leg, again, in hopes that itâll actually lock this time. The middle of the table straightens but it doesnât click. Maybe if he ju-
âLooks stable enough to me.â
âHmm?â Kevin turns at the unexpected comment, met with his boyfriend standing a few feet away from him staring at the table.
âI said that it looks good enough to me. kev, youâve literally been fighting with the table for like 10 minutes. Iâm sure itâs fine.â
âIt wonât click though.â
âitâs not like anyones gonna really be putting weight on the table. It'll be fine for today and we can figure out why itâs being so difficult later.â
Kevin glances back at the table then at his boyfriend again, squinting his eyes.
âCâmon dawg, we got shit to shoot or whatever.â
Kevin glances at the table one more time before following Aaron to change for the videos. âIsn't the saying shoot the shit?â
âEhh, doesnât really matter.â
âAnd stop calling me dawg, bro.â
âStop calling me bro, dawg.â
Kevin moves to playfully shove Aaron when he moves to the side giggling.
âOh thatâs how weâre playing?â Kevin proceeds to chase Aaron into the back of the stage set.
âKevin, can you look up for me? I need to focus the camera.â
As Kevin looks up, Denny sits to the left of him at the table.
âAye man, youâ ve GOT to stop feeding into his problem!â
âWhich one? Heâs got a slew of âem. Pretty sure heâs got a medical record longer than my grocery list-
Aaron yells for Kevin to âShut upâ as Herm simultaneously interrupts without looking up from his phone; he sitâs on the far right of Kevin- closer to the camera. âWhatâs on the list? The worldâs biggest supply of tissues?â
âNah, I think itâs at home remedies for forehead reduction,â Denny adds in.
âOr maybe post op supplies for nose reduction surgery?â Zane slyly comments as he slides into the chair next to Denny.
"Pretty sure his forehead covers over half of his issues,â Kevin mumbles.
The table errupts into a fit of laughter.
Aaron walks in behind him with a C4 energy drink in his right hand and smacking Kevin upside the head with the other.
âOw?â Kevin lightly rubs the back of his head for dramatic effect as he follows Aaron move to sit next to him with his eyes.
âI heard you, jackass.â
Kevin just returns the gesture with a wide smile.
Denny makes a disgusted face before commenting, âyouâre not as cute as you think, Uglies boyfriend.â
âReally? Your baby brother sure as hell seems to think so. Especially when-â
Aaron gives Kevin an amused side-eye before interrupting, â What addiction are you accusing me of this time Denzel?â
âThat.â He points to the energy drink in his hand. âAnd maybe that.â Denny points then, to Kevin.
Herm starts to chuckle as he says, âMan youâre out of control.â
âItâs the truth man! Heâs getting away with nefarious things because theyâre bumping tips.â
Everyone pauses for a second before Herm and Zane burst into full laughter.
âBumping tips?!â Aaron exclaims.
âAye yo!!â Kevin yells between giggles.
âIâm serious!! Kevin never used to buy that many energy drinks before they announced they were hunching-â
âHe likes to drink them! And plus they had a sale,â Kevin weakly defends.
â-Especially because they make Aaron act like a little chaos demon, and Kevin KNOWS it.â
Aaron shrugs, âDick sucking privileges.â
They all turn and look at Aaron for a moment, in a mix of horror and bubbling amusement as he takes a long sip of his drink, before the table erupts in laughter.
Denny points and yells âsee!â though a fit of laughter as Kevin looks dead at the camera and tells Ayo to cut that⊠but legitimately.
The guys are nearing the end of Cards Against Humanity. They had to play this first as Kevin forgot his pump for the inflatable at home. (Or maybe itâs at Aaronâs because they technically slept over there last night since itâs closer to the studio.) Regardless he didnât have it and they wasted 10 minutes looking for it before they could officially start the game. So, they decided to divert that to after this video.
Aaron just gave an answer that not only earned him a void but has everyone looking at him like he has grown a second head in front of them.
Herm sighs deeply, âAaron, câmon man.â
Denny still looks at him in bewilderment as he says, âyouâve got to be mentally deficient.â
âAnd you look like a crack baby.â
âI told yâall itâs those damn energy drinks!!â
Aaron starts to evilly giggle as he goes to take another drink. Herm lightly chuckles as he shakes his head and Kevin puts his head in his hands as his shoulders shake in suppressed laughter.
The game is deviling into chaos and Kevin canât tell if this will be youtube gold or if theyâre gonna have to film an extra video next week to make up for it. Though it will definitely go down as one of the funnest shoot days by far he has a feeling itâs about to all go to shit. He also has a feeling that the amount of footage thatâs usable is considerably less than he thought.
Aaron has made at least 4 jokes that will surely get them demonetized by Youtube if aired, Zane and Herm collectively have made about 6 comments that are deemed cancelable on the spot and Kevin is about 90% sure that Denny might just jump over the table to strangle Aaron. All in all Kevinâs having a great time.
Also itâs probably good to mention that Kevin and Aaron are one wrong (right) move away from a bout of playful wrestling. Which is normally what happens when they sit next to one another during games. (Which is also why they usually are separated during KLS2 shoot days.) Denny would say (jokingly) this is another thing Aaron is getting away with- even though technically Denny picked seats first today.
Aaron is literally shaking with excess energy that needs to be expelled. They could stop shooting to burn some of it off- shit Kevin would stop the shoot if Aaron really wanted him to but Aaron would never ask. Kevin probably should though because when Aaron gets like this heâll push until someone becomes reactive, just so he can burn off the energy. And today it seems like that person must be Kevin. Aaron keeps hitting and nudging him in a manner that he knows means that if Aaron works himself up anymore, heâs liable to start a play fight. And Kevinâs liable to engage.
Kevin is dragged out of his thoughts by feeling the firm but lightweight end of the inflatable smacking the top of his head.
Aaron flashes him a mischievous slightly chaotic smile. âYour turn.â
Kevin fondly huffs and rolls his eyes as he picks up a card. âIf you continue-â
Aaron smacks him again for the two syllable word even though Kevin hasnât started his turn yet.
Kevin stops for a second and squints his eyes at Aaron before he continues, âto hit me like that. I will hit you back at least twice as hard.â
Aaron proceeds to hit him four times for every word he said that had more than one syllable.
Kevin stands up, âAaron-"
Aaron follows his lead and whacks him in the chest.
Aaron tucks his shoulder into Kevinâs chest and tackles him t the grounds.
Denny huffs, âHere we fucking go man.â
Zane gets up as he speaks, âIâm gonna pee while they get their energy out. They should be done by the time I get back.â He says the last past pointedly at the two men still playfully grappling for dominance on the ground. Both are too enthralled in wrestling to pay much of what anyoneâs saying any mind.
After a moment or two Denny moves to separate the two so they can continue when Zane gets back. All hell breaks loose. Denny gets kicked on accident causing him to join in to get his ones in. Herm only gets involved because Kevin kicks his chair by accident and he falls into the mess.
By the time Zane gets back, theyâre all wrestling but they have somehow switched off and standing up. He moves to intervene when Herm and Aaron get dangerously close to the camera. But before he can all he sees is Aaron going flying across the room and air tackling Kevin into the table; subsequently breaking it and accidentally bringing Herm and Denny down with them all in itâs wake.
One week later at the HR meeting.
âIn total you guys broke over $800 worth of equipment- specifically mics. And not to mention how much we lost because of the footage we can no longer use and the time we lost cleaning everything up.â
No one says anything. Kevin just knocks his glasses as he moves to rub his temples. Aaron massages his knee as a sign of comfort.
âSooooooo, to prevent any more damages or company money lost, I have set some ground rules.â
Everyone, including Kevin, looks up in surprise.
Zane swivels to face Kevin and Aaron, âYou two can no longer sit next to one another during KLS2 shoots. No exceptions. Kevinâs the most susceptible to reacting to Aaronâs antics so you need a buffer.â
Aaron shrugs, âFair enough.â
Zane turns to Denny, âNo sicking Aaron on Kevin when youâre loosing a physical fight to him.â
Zane turns to Herm, â Just please donât engage-â
âi quite literally fell into the bullshit.â
âYouâre too tall and youâre limbs are the most likely to hit the equipment and break it accidentally.â
Herm nods, âokay fair.â
Zane then turns back to Kevin, âAnd you, stop buying the energy drinks for the love of god.â
Zane ignores Aaronâs protests and bullies on through, âany more big money costing play squabbles like this and the total cost is coming. out of everyones paychecks⊠INDIVIDUALLY. Not a percentage but the total! That way we can add everyoneâs contribution to the collateral fund to ensure we have enough company money to pay for it. We all got it?â
Everyone nods their heads.
âGreat, meeting over. Shoot starts in 30.â
Yeah⊠this is soooooooooo Aaronâs fault. And maybe a little bit of Kevinâs because he didnât help the case at all.
