Lucanis: Did getting possessed by Spite make me a bad person, or have I been a bad person all along? Is this enabling me to act out horrible deeds I've always been capable of, or does he make me worse? Lucanis if you choose Minrathous: Yes, I do want to separate from Spite, but what if in doing so I unleash the "real" Demon of Vyrantium into the world? Not to mention... Spite was a part of me, he made friends and connections. Severing our bond would leave him all alone (I almost think I'll miss him).

The sequence I wanted to try drawing today still isn't working so have a very, very quick Post-Cleanup Spite portrait doodle. (Yes, I know the 'pointy teeth' listed aren't really visible here, I tried but it just kept looking like smudges)

Additional Notes;

By 'Post-Cleanup' I mean shortly after getting out of the Ossuary and arriving at the Lighthouse. This means full armour including the shirt/knitted piece (sweater or vest?) underneath. ('Ossuary Armour' would be just the outer leather armour with prison rags underneath.)

I headcanon this 'Ossuary-Like' appearance of the face/hair/bodyshape would linger until Inner Demons probably. Then he would catch back up with Lucanis's present appearance at that point although still slightly more exaggerated (and pointy teeth >:3)

Damien Moreau: Career criminal, infamous and renowned. Eliot's previous employer, and the top of the crime pyramid. Almost killed Hardison. Attempted to rig an election in order to escape jail time. Murderous type of guy.

surprisingly forward-thinking of jim henson and co. to make a female character in the 70's that's allowed to be loud-mouthed and violent and kind of overwhelmingly romantic and even a huge bitch at times and not have a moment where any character asks her to change

going through all the muppet movies in a row made me realize that like. miss piggy was made in the 70's. and it's so rare even today to have a character like her. she's loud, she's selfish, she's funny, she's extremely vain, she's obsessed with romance, she's violent, she's kind of annoying, and there's not a single moment in any of these films where she's asked to tone down any of these personality traits. i am not joking when i say that miss piggy might be one of the best treated female characters ever written

One of the most spiritually profound moments of my life was when I was sixish and at a natural history museum with my parents that had a whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling.

I remember my dad picking me up to sit on his shoulders (possibly one of the last times he did that because I was getting too big to hold there for long) so I could be close to it's flipper because he wanted to show me something. He had me hold up my arm parallel to the whale's, and explained that we had the same bones, pointing to it's scapula and humerus and radius and ulna and so on while poking the same bones in my skinny little arm, all they way down to the tips of my fingers and it's own.

And in that moment, I could suddenly see how the whale and I were the same animal, just stretched and shrunk into different proportions by nature. There was an entire exhibit with skeletons of different animals and we went through all of them, picking out the hands and faces of all of them on myself.

I had never felt such a profound connection to the world around me before as I realized on a visceral level that not only was I related to all these creatures, they were very literally my distant cousins, and that in a way, they were me from back then and I was them from now, and we all were others still from the future.

Every living thing on earth is your cousin. The most distantly related humans are your 50th cousins. Chimps are your several thousandth cousins. An octopus is your 25 millionth cousin. Trees are your billionth cousins. You and I are surrounded by family. And that makes me feel profoundly loved.

So thanks dad, for pulling your shoulder a bit to show me that I am part of the universe. I love you too.
