being apart of niche fandoms is actually a blessing in disguise

While being apart of unpopular/fandoms that aren't well known can be pretty frustrating in terms of lack of fan-made content and people not recognizing your interests, there's actually some very nice things that you can enjoy. Once a fandom gets really popular and becomes very well known, thats when the hate starts pouring in. People will get annoyed, and label it as "corny" and "cringey". Then your fandom gains a bad reputation. There are so many fandoms that ended up like this that I won't even list examples because I bet you could think of a few.

But when your fandom is small/niche, you avoid all these problems and can mostly be a fan in peace.

Anyway I just thought of this since I'm someone who is a part of small fandoms.

Yknow I actually like the idea of Sky reminding the other Links of their respective Zeldas (and Tetra).

Like, Sky fights back to back with Warriors at some point and he’s all competent and trustable in a combat situation, and Warriors has a very brief flash of fighting alongside Artemis, who fought equally fierce as any Hero. And it’s like oh, oh, this is her blood-ancestor.

Same with the others, too. Sky’s wonder about the vastness of Wild’s world/The Surface and restrained curiosity reminding Wild of Flora. Sky’s quiet hope and determination to succeed in their quest in a particular way that reminds Time of Lullaby. Sky’s sassy remarks and few moments of mischief reminding Wind of Tetra. Sky says something kind and Four sees Dot behind his eyelids. Twilight sees Dusk in all her queenly regality in the moments that Sky casually, calmly accepts him, wolf and rancher and all. Legend can’t help but see remnants of Fable’s bone structure, the shape of her eyes or the slope of her nose. And Hyrule, already used to two Zeldas, has an unsettlingly easy time connecting lines of physical and personality resemblance. Sky has the grace of Aurora and the inner strength of Dawn.

On the other side of things, I think the Zeldas should also have some sort of realization. I think it’d be cool if the Zeldas learned they were the descendants of a Hero. That they are not just the politically important, goddess-blooded figures of a royal family or country, but can and are saviors in their own ways. The Zeldas (especially Flora) should get to hear stories of the first Zelda, a strong young woman who held back evil and laughed with friends and rode a giant bird and graduated a Knight’s Academy. Sky and Sun, despite how silly they can be, are awesome ancestors. I wanna see Sky reassure Flora and give Dusk a nod of respect and spar with Artemis and just, have everyone bask in the fact that they get to show their spiritual predecessor (Links) and or blood ancestor (Zeldas) what they’ve done, how they’ve succeeded and lost and risen.

Like, that guy who just mowed down those monsters over yonder is your ancestor! You have courage beyond divinity in your blood! How very cool

While I don’t think Sky is the first king of Hyrule The Kingdom, I do like to think that he left his mark in some ways. Like, in the game and LU comic, he’s fantastic at carving wood. What profession does that lead to? Carpentry? Architectural designs? I think it’d be cool if the chain came across artifacts of Sky’s era thats just like, a door that he made, design work in house interiors that Sky came up with, wooden tools like spoons and hairbrushes that has Sky’s maker’s mark.

If the first castle of the Kingdom of Hyrule takes inspiration from the first village built on the Surface, there might even be some of Sky’s designs on the interior design.

And Sun! She was obviously a talented seamstress. Back then, well-made clothes could survive for generations. Is there a baby blanket that survives to Four’s era thats Sky catches a glimpse of, and gets this look on his face? Are there old dresses and tapestries and cloaks? Does the royal family pass down an ancient blanket without even knowing why except that it stays within the family? Do you think Sun keeps her family warm long after she passes.

I don’t think Sky and Sun would want to be known and remembered as The Goddess Incarnate and The Chosen Hero publicly after their divinely disastrous ordeal of a quest, and it’s way too early for a monarchy to be established, they’re still figuring out an agricultural revolution for the Surface. While Sky and Sun are leaders in a way, I like to think that parts of them as Sky and Sun survive as their legacy

Everyone forgets about the fireshield earrings!

Probably a stretch to say they'd canonically prevent at least mild pain in a campfire, but they absolutely do extinguish Sky/Link any time he catches fire in his game. Which is more often than you'd think >u< (for the purposes of the comic this is a completely pain-free prank for Sky lol)
