Sometimes I think about how each of the sides name reveals are like coming out.

Logan was outed, it wasn't a choice but it was ok in the end, he was also really chill about it.

Roman clarified to make things easier and more comfortable. He just said it and moved on like it was no big deal, just a conversation.

Patton was also really chill about, he joked about it. Like it was obvious and nothing crazy.

Virgil had to build a lot of trust before he could vulnerable like that. He was scared of being made fun of so he just blurted it out

Remus was proud of it, he had nothing to hide and if you don't like it boo hoo. But he also uses it as a tool.

Janus was bullied. It took a lot of trust for him to say it, he wanted to bridge the gap between himself and the others by revealing this part of himself. Unfortunately he was immediately made fun of for it.

Now most of the sides names reveals can be seen as pretty positive coming outs. In the end they have been (no long viciously outcasted but) accepted. A lot of them were calm about the whole situuation and for some it's not a huge deal, but for others it is. It marks the trust they have for the others and Thomas.

i genuinely have so many ideas for betas in an omegaverse world, they are so important to me especially in pack dynamics

Exactly. They serve to balance out the pack and take up the roles around them. It's so so important. They don't get used enough.

Another thing is that they never have a proper presentation, they kinda just wake up one day and bam you're a beta. So I think for a beta presentation should be essentially like a soft heat where they sink into the dynamic. It's kinda like a muddle. It's about 2 days and is the shortest of the different presentations (because they don't need to grow whole new organs) but they still need rest and pack/familt and scenting to get through it properly. I go with presentation should be about 13-14 years old.

And when it's done they're fully realised and have their own scent.
