I feel like I need to sleep for three years. I had a friend overstay the hell out of there welcome, but I didn't have the heart to tell them they need to go home. I ended up making pancakes for us at 11:53 pm. I still hold the title of 'best pancakes' though, so I got that to be happy about!
Recently watched a video about the effects of what having flat feet can do. Now I know why my feet hurt and do a funny little thing like roll inwards, now I'm realizing having weak ankles ain't the only thing going wrong... I have been cursed to never run, I'm cursed in any horror movie scenario /sobs

You have no idea how bad I need a faked rivalry between Goka and Zodyl for the marching band au.. I need them fighting at a comp and then apologizing to each other in private. Pretty please.

The Eclipse Invitational was an all-inclusive marching competition that The Vandals Marching Ensemble and The Enforcers Marching Ensemble attended every year. The two groups had always shared a fierce rivalry, each determined to claim the first-place trophy.
It had been several years since the Vandals last won. After their performance the previous year, one judge had described them as “lackluster” on the evaluation tapes. The words had made Zodyl grit his teeth and walk away, he couldn’t bear to hear any more. Meanwhile, The Enforcers had delivered outstanding performances and taken first place for the last few years, openly mocking the Vandals as they celebrated.
This year started no differently. Both ensembles performed back-to-back, their members glaring at one another with such intensity that even the photographers avoided eye contact as they left the field. When the awards ceremony finally began, both groups watched the head judge closely as he delivered his usual drawn-out speech. Then, in a shocking turn of events, he announced that first place belonged to The Vandals Marching Ensemble.
Zodyl stepped forward to accept the trophy beside the judge while a photographer snapped a quick picture. He didn’t miss the way Kyouka glared daggers at him, as if he had stolen something that was rightfully hers.
Once the ceremony ended, both ensembles returned to their buses to change out of uniform and pack up. Zodyl set the trophy down safely inside the bus, then began removing his uniform, a genuine smile on his face as he took off his shako. That warm feeling didn’t last long. Kyouka soon approached, Goka trailing behind her.
“Did you pay the judges?” Kyouka asked, eyes narrowed.
Zodyl turned to face her and scoffed. “You really think I’d sink that low? You truly believe we have no talent compared to your ensemble?”
Kyouka crossed her arms. “How does a permanent second-place band like yours suddenly take first? It’s awfully suspicious.”
Goka stepped closer and added, “The Vandals. Funny how a band with that name suddenly claims first place, isn’t it?”
Zodyl shook his head slightly. “The Enforcers. Funny how a band with that name enforces nothing but misery on its members rather than pleasant memories, isn’t it?”
The back-and-forth of insults continued for nearly ten minutes until Zodyl felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see Cthoni.
“Zodyl, it’s time we get going,” Cthoni said, nodding toward the bus. “Jabber looks like he’s about to sneak off and buy more sweets with money that I’m sure came from your wallet.” She pointed at Jabber, who was intently counting single dollar bills the same person who had claimed earlier that he had no money, prompting Cthoni to buy him a meal.
Zodyl gave a brief nod, ignoring the two Enforcers, and finished changing out of the rest of his uniform.
Later that evening, Zodyl sighed with relief as he finally stepped into the apartment he shared with Goka. Goka walked through the door right behind him and plopped down onto the couch with a heavy sigh.
“I pray you know I didn’t mean any of it,” Goka mumbled. “I don’t want Kyouka getting suspicious about me staying quiet… She already mentioned I seemed ‘off’ at the last invitational after I avoided joining her in mocking you guys.”
Zodyl stepped over and sat beside him. “Of course I know you didn’t mean it,” he said warmly. “I distinctly remember our conversation before we went our separate ways today. I only meant what I said to Kyouka never to you.” He finished with a soft laugh.
My friend just told me they didn't how this was a heavily emotional moment for me. Considering not being friends with them anymore.
*It's graduation day. The band plays with all it's members for the last time this year.*
I stare devastedly as my boyfriend finally rises and comes closer. I couldn't find his mouthpiece in his case while I put his instrument together. I felt awful. I was the one to surely lose his mouthpiece, I was the last person to deassmble his instrument. The emotions flood back as the tears start up full force again. As he comes closer and lifts his instrument to take a seat. I notice he has his mouthpiece in his hand. I felt relieved. I didn't lose it. It was just with him. I had brought his ligature with me, everything would be fine. A thought came like a stab to my heart. I didn't bring his reed. My boyfriend looks at me "Where's my reed?" My heart drops, I want to sob openly and brokenly once again. "I- I didn't know you'd have your mouthpiece-" I mumbled eyes full of nothing but pain. I had messed things up. He looks to the director informs he he doesn't have a reed, but like always the show must go on right? I pull my own mouthpiece off. I take my ligature off. I slide the reed out of place holding it out to him. "If anyones gonna play. I want it to be you." He takes it. I hear him play for the last time. It's perfection as always. He gives me my reed back. "It's not your fault. I didn't tell you. I'm sorry."
