____________________________________________
Being wealthy is not always fun.
It’s not always, glitz and glamor.
It’s not always getting what you want or what you need.
It’s just about having money.
That’s it’s.
You may have money, but it doesn’t mean that you have all the power. You can be a pawn for someone else’s gain and that’s exactly what’s happened to you. Your grandfather had hit it big when he bought a piece of what he thought was crappy land which actually turned out to be sitting on one of the biggest oil mines in South Korea. Causing him to go from low class farmer to one of South Korea’s richest men. He ran his business well and always stayed humble throughout.
Giving to the little people and still keeping his business a float. Your grandfather was your biggest hero and even after his untimely death at the age of eighty three from heart failure, he remained your biggest inspiration.
Your father, sadly, had lost some of his humbleness being surrounded with riches at the ripe age of fifteen. He basically got everything handed to him by his mother.
He still remained sympathetic to the people who worked hard to make an earnest living, but he seemed to have forgotten the days where he would stay outside for hours on end working so his family could barely get by. His thoughts had been more preoccupied with how to get money and how fast he could get it. In the first two years since the death of your grandfather he had doubled the money Park Enterprise was sitting on.
He moved your family to a bigger mansion when you were seven and your brother Jimin was eight, making you uncomfortable with having to go to an even fancier private school.
Since that day, all you can remember is the diamonds, glitter and gold thrown at you, but you always remember losing all your friends and your parents not being around as much anymore. You remember being on magazines, but not being able to go out and get a simple ice cream cone without being followed. You don’t even remember the last time you had fast food.
Caviar was no longer something that you dreamed of having.
It was lunch.
All the things you had enjoyed even when you were rich, had not been taken away because of a spotlight. Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse. They did.
Around the time of your sixteenth birthday another family had hit the nail on money, but they made their money in real estate.
The Kims.
They built condos and apartment complexes. Even building houses for upcoming celebrities. They were stupid rich and seemed to be competition for the title of richest family in South Korea.
People buzzed about a non-existent feud between you two. Everyone discussed the fall of the Park Dynasty or the Kim Empire.
Your father at first brushed off the talk. Treating it like the gossip it was, but when there was an accidental scare about a certain place where your family was digging and how the Kims could lose money, they both came together to show the press there was no bad blood. As well as, becoming business partners, working together to build upon their massive wealth.
Jimin had even became close to their son.
Kim Taehyung.
The one person you hated more than anyone else in the world.
He was obnoxious, arrogant, spoiled and more than anything he was full of himself.
He always walked around, dressed head to toe in Gucci, thinking that this was his world and never considered the thoughts or feelings of others.
He was unapologetically blunt and said whatever he wanted, and you hated it.
He on the other hand, enjoyed watching you get frustrated with him over his presence. He saw this as a game.
One that he wasn’t willing to lose or so you both thought.
That was up until both companies almost lost everything they had.
Your father and his had made a bad investment and the fear their empires crumbling seemed inevitable, but they made it back.
Rising higher in glory, but it still scared both of them. Made them look past what was just in front of them and into what their companies would look years from now. Which is how you ended up in this situation.
“Jimin what do you think dad wants?” You look down at the carpet below you. Tip of your heel tapping against the floor as you tap the arm of the chair.
“I don’t know, but I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
“I’ll be fine! He never calls me to his office. Last time he did, it was because I had almost crashed his Lamborghini.” Jimin was silent and you groaned, sliding into the chair.
“Okay so maybe it’s something big, but it can’t be that bad.” You pout and put your head on Jimin’s shoulder.
“I never thought I would see Y/N pout?” You freeze at the sound of the familiar voice. You open your eyes only to be met Taehyung’s.
“What the hell are you doing here?” You growl, snapping your head off of Jimin’s shoulder.
“I’m as clueless as you are Y/N. I literally just got here.” He sat down on the leather couch opposite of you. Arrogant smile painting his face.
“Why didn’t tell me you were coming man. I could’ve warned her.” Jimin leaned forward and you rolled your eyes. Not understanding how someone as nice as Jimin could be friends with someone as vile as Taehyung.
“I got the call about twenty minutes ago. My dad is in there and he asked me to come.” Your eyebrow arches up and you feel your nerves shoot up again. Heel starting it tapping again. “Calm down. I’m sure it’s something like making a public appearance. Showing the mixture of the family or something like that.”
“I haven’t been called to his office in almost five years.” You mumble out completely ignoring that you were talking to Taehyung.
“Y/N, you’re going to be okay. I promise. As your big brother I swear nothing bad will happen.” You nod, leg still twitching. It’s silent for a while and you see Taehyung squirm on the couch. His thumbs meeting trying to calm his nerves.
“Y/N. Taehyung.” You jump slightly turning your head over to look at Taehyung’s dad who had a small smile on smile. “I need you two in here.” You look at Jimin and Taehyung before looking back at Mr. Kim. You both hesitantly get up and walk into the office.
You fidget slightly and Taehyung grabs your shoulder and you freeze.
“You’ll be okay. I’m sure of it.” He gives you a small smile and you nod slightly, before walking over to your father’s desk.
“Y/N! Taehyung! It’s so good to see you two in the same room without fighting.” You inwardly roll your eyes at his statement. “Sit. Go ahead.” You do, legs crossing in anticipation. You can hear Mr. Kim coming from behind you two, before he finally sits in the chair next to Taehyung.
“You look nervous Y/N?” Mr. Kim says, a smile still on his face. “Are you okay?” You’re silent and you stare at your heels again.
“Answer Mr. Kim Y/N.” You’re fathers more authoritarian tone kicked in and you immediately snap up.
“I’m fine sir, sorry.” You nod your head and make eye contact with Tae who looked almost...angered?
“I’m so sorry for her behavior. She’s never been a people person, but maybe she can be after this.” You finally rip your eyes away from Tae and Mr. Kim, looking back at your father in confusion. “We have good news you two.”
“Y/N, you’re father and I came on to an agreement in a way that could save both of our business.” You look at Taehyung who’s already staring at you with the same confusion.
“You two are getting married!”
You freeze for a solid minute before your able to understand the words that left your father's mouth.
“I’m sorry-what?” Taehyung ask as your mouth hangs open.
“You and Y/N are getting married. Isn’t that exciting?”
“I’m sorry. WHAT?!” You both yelled shooting out of the chairs.
“I can barely stand him?! Why him? Why not Jungkook or Seonghwa!?”
“Y/N! Show some respect!” Your father stares almost in shock at your reaction. You weren’t expecting to hear Taehyung laugh.
“What was all that about Jinsoul and Jung’s huh? You’d of course marry me to my best friend's baby sister!” The room is silent and you feel the tension.
“Taehyung.” His father cuts in. “I won’t be around forever and neither will Y/N’s father. We need to know that everything we’ve made won’t go down the drain once we pass our companies on.” You wince at Mr. Kim's words.
“Dad-”
“You don’t get to choose what you want this time. It’s yes or yes.” You’re stunned at the way Mr. Kim speaks to Taehyung. It’s almost as if he looks down upon his own child. You thought you were the only kid going through things like that.
“Then what about me huh? Where’s my say?”
“You don’t get one.” Your father says almost annoyed. You clench your jaw and you see Taehyung’s fist clench. “Now if you two are done. It will be announced tomorrow.” You look at Taehyung only to see his head hanging and jaw shut tight. “The wedding will be taking place in a couple months. We’ll give the exact date when everything is planned.”
This had to be a dream.
You wanted to open your eyes and wake up in your bed.
“That will be all.”
Then reality hit you.
You’re about to marry the one person you despise more than anyone else.
Lucky you.

A/N: Sorry for being gone for so long! I have another account and school work and sports. It’s a lot, but I’m glad I can be back! Please be safe and stay healthy! I love you all!💓
I may be posting the preview for my new story today.🥴
I lovedd both previews for your story and I can’t wait to be able to read it!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Omg! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :))
KTH: New Beginnings {Preview}
Pairing: Vet!Taehyung x College!Reader (and Yuta and the reader used to date :/)
Warnings: Mentions of/ Death, Half of this angst, other is super fluffy, Tae being absolutely whipped because he is, Unprotected Sex (wrap it before you tap it, Kids.) Oral, Some degrading terms, DoCtOr kIM, stubborn reader. (and a dog who really wants the magic to happen.)
Summary: (okay hear me out. One: my other summaries all flopped because of…Two: I cant do the summary and not give away some of the story which…I mean I’m still editing so I might just change the whole beginning part, but it’ll be here when the story is published.)
A/N: I just want to let you know. I have two beginnings to this story and still don’t know which one to use. The one you’re reading now is shorter because if I did the other one this preview would be like 8,000 words long ….. whoops. So I don’t know if I’ll use the other one because it’s kind’ve of descriptive on the relationship of Yuta and Y/N. Also please give me feedback, because this is my first fic and I want it to be great and thank you for taking time out your day to read this (hoooorrrible piece of work.)!!! 💓💓💓💓
“Y/N- Yuta died last night.” Jennie’s voice cracked. That was the moment everything stopped. No birds were singing. No cars outside honk their horns rushing to get to work. There was nothing. Nothing, but a static silence that filled the air. Tears slip past your eyes unconsciously.
“What?” You manage to crack out.
“Yuta died in a car crash.” It felt so unreal to hear those words. Not when you could still hear his laugh. When you could still feel his arms around you. When you still remember his smile. His lips. His touch. His voice. His everything. How could he have been gone when you could remember everything so vividly. There was no way. Every moment of the life you had flashed before your eyes. That’s all gone? Then his last words repeat through your head.
‘As if anything could keep me away from you.’
He told you he’d come back. He promised he’d come back.
He promised you.
You still smell his warm vanilla and cinnamon scent. You look down and see his shirt. The shirt he wore last night before changing. Before he went off and lived his final moments. Before he said I love you for the last time.
“Y/N say something.” Jennie tried to read any emotion she could get from you. Heart beating fast, tears brimming, stomach-churning, head pounding. Yuta’s gone?
“I think I’m gonna be sick.” You get up from the table and run to the bathroom, hearing Jennie not that far behind you. You swing the bathroom door open and fall to the floor in front of the toilet. You feel Jennie rub your back and keep your hair from falling. It felt like someone tied bricks to your ankles and left you to die in an overbearing thick sadness. The feeling making you sick to your stomach. You gag and cry and puke and wail. Everything coming out at once. “Fuck! Fuck! I told him-” You swing your head back over the toilet. “- not to go. If I had just-” Your throat burns as you gag. “-if I had just got him to stay. He’d be here. It’s my fault.” Your head is back over the toilet. “He’s dead because I couldn’t get him to stay! Yuta’s dead because of me!”
“Y/N you didn’t do anything wrong. Don’t blame yourself. It’s gonna be okay Y/N.” Jennie whispers trying to calm you down.
That was one year ago. You’re now twenty-three years old. It’s been one year without Yuta. One year without hearing his voice. One year without feeling his touch. One year without waking up to him by your side. One year without any of the stupid fights. One year without exchanging ‘I love you’s. One full year without your first love. He had to have a closed-casket funeral. His body and face to destroyed to show. You knew that if you saw the wax figure of Yuta you would be able to control yourself from touching it and crying. It would make you think he was real. That he was still here with you. That he hadn’t left you here, heartbroken. Many people came to his funeral. You met some of his cousins and best friends. You cried with his family and broke down during your speech. The wake was silent and you fought the urge to walk out. You always visit his grave. Make it a requirement to see it at least three times every month, but you always go more than that. You sit there in silence and don’t really think at all. Always bringing him flowers, whenever the one you brought before start to wilt. Still blaming yourself for his death. The first few months were awful, but they were filled with anger. You were enraged at the fact that life continued without him. That people lived their so perfectly as if someone so great hadn’t lost their life. How a world could still function and be okay when he was gone. The rage hit hard, but soon it was gone. The fire that once roared, was put out and left a cold and stagnant body.
Since his death, you’ve been more shut off., as predicted. Your bubbly personality became only a past memory to your time with Yuta. Everything you are is melancholy. Nothing was important. Not food. Not bills. Not even yourself. Life became blander. Falling into a schedule. The most important or disappointing thing, however, is that all the color in your life is now gone. The colorful world around you seemed to be robbed of all the shades of beauty it held before. Now it was only figments of ashy white, gray and black that clouded your visions. No more magic ran through the air bringing the life you once had back. You’d look in the mirror and see nothing. No soul or emotion insight. Eyes hollow and empty. Just an abandoned shell walking around all these people with meaning in their lives. People who haven’t lost a purpose. The only shred of happiness you have left is Cooper, which seem to be fading.
“Hey, Cooper.” He stayed still not even lifting his head. Any other time this would’ve been normal. After Yuta died Cooper would wait for him by the door waiting for an arrival that would never happen. Even though he wasn’t as chipper as he used to be he’d still look up at you whenever you came home from work. “Cooper.” He still didn’t move. “C’ mon now Cooper.” When he still didn’t move your stomach dropped. You ran to his side and drop to your knees. His eyes were open and they were following you. You slipped your hand under his chest. He still had a pulse. It was weaker than normal. “No. No. No. Cooper, please get up.” When he didn’t and whimpered you started crying. That’s how you found yourself speeding downtown to get the closest vet clinic you could find. You carried, your now seventy pound, dog crying. “Someone, please! He’s not moving!” You cry out and fight to keep Cooper up.
“Ma’am. What’s wrong?” A receptionist came up to you.
“He’s not moving. He won’t move at all. Please help him. I can’t lose him.” The last part comes out as a whisper.
“Alright. Let me take him.” You don’t want to let go. Last time you let someone you love go they died. Just the mere thought of losing Cooper makes all this pain become so much more real. That was something you weren’t ready for. Thoughts flash and you hold Cooper closer. Walls crumble and you tremble and shake at what was flying through your head. The image of being alone burned into your mind and you Cooper tight. Breath quacking and heart slamming against your chest. Your eyes squeeze tight and everything seems so chaotic. Then, a rich soothing voice broke your thoughts.
“I promise you he will be okay. I swear on my life that he will come back to you.” His voice was calming. Like a reminder to take a deep breath, a luxury you had been depriving yourself of for such a long time. A hand rubs circles on your back and you catch your breath. Somehow coaxed into letting go of Cooper. You lift him into the hands of the receptionist. A lot of loud shouts follow, but your heart is beating too fast for you to notice anything. It’s deafening at this point. The hand leaves your back and you’re left standing in the middle of a vet clinic, at six in the afternoon, looking like a mad man. Finding your way to a chair, memories flood back and soon you’re crying again. He’s the only thing of Yuta left. The only shred of happiness that was left after Yuta died. He’s all you had. Cooper can’t leave you to. You know people are looking at you like you are crazy, but you don’t care. You’re shaking in your seat afraid that you’ll lose him. You know people think you’re overreacting. Hell if you from two years ago saw this they would think you’re being overdramatic, but this. This is almost too much. Cooper is like your child. He’s Yuta and your child. You refuse to lose him as well. You try to lift your head, but once again your body felt heavy. The sun beams down on your neck as you shake and shudder. “If anyone is listening, I beg of you don’t take him. I’ve lost love. I can’t lose my only happiness. I can’t.” Begs and please leave your mouth in a whisper. Your pleas soon slow down and your mouthparts only a little. Exhaustion taking over your body.
You’re awoken to a loud bark. Your mind stirs and head throbs, still unaware of the surroundings. The memories of past events hit, full force. The frown that once painted your face came back. Slowly you blink and the current environment becomes clear. The vet clinic. Why were you still here? You stretch wincing at how your body pops, from falling asleep on such an uncomfortable surface. It was silent in the clinic. You look around, searching to see if anyone was still here. There wasn’t a soul in sight and only one dim light showing from a room down a hallway. It smelled of bleach and other cleaning supplies and your stomach churned. The moon, which was now distorted from the rain covering the window, shined through. The realization of how late it actually was became prevalent. The normally chattery city had died down and rested for the night. The only sound being cars that went over puddles and the light music from them. Then there was a bark. A familiar one. You lurch out of the chair and follow Cooper’s bark to a door, reading the metal bar.
Dr. Kim Taehyung
You open the door and see something that you haven’t seen in a long time. Cooper’s once-forgotten gleam in his eyes is returned as he lays on someone. You see a hand petting his head, but not who the hand belongs to.
“I know Cooper, but you got to let her rest too.” Cooper shakes his head and makes eye contact with you jumping off the figure, running to you.
“Cooper!” You drop to your knees, arms open and Cooper runs into you. He barks at you and he looks so joyful. “I’ve missed you to buddy.”
“Cooper’s giving you a run for your money in that department.” The man giggles and you recognize the voice. It’s the man from earlier. The one who got you to let go Cooper with just a few words. Before you can get a good look at him Cooper is trying to lick your face and you weave his tongue just in time. “Here let me help you up.” You reach out for the man’s hand and Cooper finally gets off of you.
“Thank you.” You finally take a good look at the man and you see something that you thought was long forgotten. When you make eye contact the room gets brighter. He had dark curly brown hair that almost went past his eyes. His eyes a rich brown that seem glint even in the darkly lit room. An arched nose that crinkled in joy the mole to the left of the tip standing out. A boxy smile that showed off all his teeth. Round cheeks that reminded you of a newborn. Honey glazed skin that seems to shine and brighten the room. He was beautiful, to say the least. Especially compared to your pale and thin state.
“Y/N right?” He bit lip, looking as if he was holding something back.
“How’d you know?”
“It’s on Cooper’s name tag.”
“Oh. Right.” There was a moment of silence that passed. You stared at him and his never wavering smile. This feeling felt all too familiar. “I- Can you tell me what’s wrong with Cooper?”
“Yeah. Right. Uh, Cooper managed to sprain his right front metacarpus.” You raised an eyebrow in confusion. “It’s like his wrist. I suggest giving him these and making sure he rests. Not to do much on it. You have to watch him or it can worsen.” He hands you a white paper bag with somewhat neat handwriting written out in sharpie.
“I don’t have anyone to watch him. I have to work.”
“What about Yuta?” You wince at the mention of his name.
“How do you know who Yuta is?”
“His name is on the name tag.” He gives you a dub look and you’re taken aback. How could someone be so lively and cheerful, this late? His voice, though deep and powerful, was laced in juvenile emotion. As if he had something exciting to say every time he spoke. His eyes glinted with joy that could only come from true happiness. His strong and intimidating physical features clashed greatly with his childlike personality, that it can cause anyone to do a double-take. Had this really been the same boy who convinced you to hand over Cooper? It finally clicks that you have to respond and the words swirl in your head, but nothing can form. The words ‘Yuta has been dead for a while now’ will definitely put a damper on his and strongly affect you. Searching for something, the words finally fall.
“Yuta is- He isn’t around anymore.” You internally cringe at your oversharing.
“Oh. Sorry to hear that.” Another all to familiar silence falls between you two. The uncomfortable feeling being unavoidable “If you want he can stay here.” A soft smile comes back to his face and it warms your chest.
“No no. I couldn’t ask you to do that.” The thought of adding another load to his already busy day, already made you think you were using him. He shook is dismay.
“It’s fine. I have someone here who can watch and take care of him. I’ll throw in a discount just because Cooper is one of the best patients I’ve had.” He looks back down at Cooper then at you. You two go back and forth for a while. The whole argument, if you could even call it that, seemed extremely childish. Finally, you give in, deciding to weigh the logic against the wants.
“Fine Doctor Kim, you win.” He cheers and you notice the smile that had been on your face. You look down at Cooper, whose head was tucked between your legs, and pet him.
“Perfect and Y/N?” You hesitate a little just to continue petting Cooper.
“Yes.” When you finally look up at him, you see a wide smile on his face and cheerful glint his eyes. The look itself caused your smile to get a little bigger.
“Call me Taehyung.”
A/N: That was a long preview. (Like almost two thousand words long. Lmao.) I really hope you enjoyed this because this was fun (and stressful) to write. Feedback is appreciated. Sending love. 💓💓💓
coming soon babes. 💕💕😆
New Beginnings {M}
{Alternative Beginning}
Warning: Death, Cheesy cute stuff and like 3% suggestive content.
Pairing: Yuta x Reader
Word count: 4,361
A/N: This isn’t a must read for New Beginnings. This is what I originally started off with whe I first began writing New Beginnings. This is basically background knowledge and things like that. This has no meantion of Tae or anything vital that happens in the main story. Hope you enjoyed/enjoy.
People say that when you find the one that you’ll know it. The way you feel is indescribable. Your heart will soar to the heavens and you’ll be content in your life. Every moment with them will bring you unimaginable happiness. You would be able to look at them and see the love they had for you. They would be your everything for forever.
That's all a person wants. All they want is to be loved by the person they love the most. That sensation of joy from feeling that person hold you tight as you doze off side by side. Everyone wants to feel like they are wanted and needed. Everyone wants to be in love. People search for it their whole lifetime. Some die happy and content, from finally finding that special someone. Others die bitter and sour from never being able to find it.
You had found that. You had found the person who made your life feel like a dream come true. Yuta Nakamoto. He was everything you wanted in a guy. Kind, smart, an individual, open-minded and so much more. He was loved by many and hated by those who envied him. His personality attracted all. So bubbly and cheerful. Always there to give others a hand. That’s how you had met. You sat crying outside your apartment on a Thursday night, freezing due to the conditions of an unforgiving winter. Your tights and white t-shirt did nothing to protect you from the strong wind stinging your skin. Your head buried in your knees as you wailed. That’s when you heard a door open and you looked up to see a very beautiful man walking out of your neighbor's apartment waving goodbye. He laughed shutting the door before making eye contact with you.
“Good god! Are you okay?” He rushed over to your side.
“I-I. I got locked out of my apartment. Everything I have is inside including my phone and jacket so I’m stuck out here.” You began to cry harder.
“Here take this.” He shimmed his coat off and handed it to you. You put it on zipping it up and wipe the tears off your face. He pulled you off the floor smiling. “Let’s get you somewhere warm.”
“I don’t have shoes on.” You point to your sock-covered feet. Next thing you know you’re on this strangers back heading towards his car and then at the McDonalds down the street. He carried you in and sat you at a booth, running off to get you something to eat. For a while, you sit there in silence eating your chicken nuggets. “Thank you.” You mumble out.
“Anytime. Do you need my phone to call and see if your landlord can come and get your apartment open?”
“Yes, if you are okay with me using your phone.” He smiled and took out his phone out handing it to you.
“The password is 73025.” You called your landlord and he told he stop by tomorrow morning around eight-thirty to do it for you. Hanging up the phone you put your face in your hands and begin to weep again. “Hey. Hey. What’s wrong?”
“He’s not coming until eight-thirty. Tomorrow morning. I don’t know where I’m going to stay.”
“Damn it.” A moment of silence passes. He grabbed your arms moving them from your face. “Are you positive there’s no one you can stay with?” He spoke softly.
“My friend Jennie maybe.”
“Do you know her address?” You nod your head. “Put it in my phone and I’ll take you there.” You nod your head again, as the worry starts to roll off your shoulders. “Finish eating and then we can go.” You finish all your nuggets and hand the stranger the fries.
“You didn’t eat anything.” He nods and you both sit there in silence as he finishes the fries. He threw everything away and soon enough you were on this stranger back again on the way back to his car. Silence fills the air before you start crying again.
“Why are you crying?”
“Thank you. Thank you so much. I mean I don’t even know you and yet here you are taking care of me as if I’m like your best friend. Thank you.”
“It’s fine- um.” He paused and you realized that you still don’t know anything about him and vice versa. It’s funny really.
“Y/N.”
“Well then. No biggie Y/N. By the way, I’m Yuta. I wasn’t going to leave you out there in the cold. That’s evil. Now rest up we have a twenty-minute drive to your friend's house.” You bite back the urge to say thank you again and nod leaning back into the seat. Soon you’re asleep in the car with a stranger. You’re woken up to a soft voice and someone shaking you gently. The man is outside the car. The car door open and standing in the cold. “Hey Y/N were here.” You unbuckle the seatbelt and try to step out before Yuta puts on his back again. He kicks the car door shut and looks over his shoulder at you.
“You know you don’t have to carry me.” He starts walking anyways, ignoring your protest.
“One you’re barefoot and two you warm me up. I’m not gonna let you go.” Your heart thuds at his comment. You hardly knew him and yet here he is, probably tired as hell, carrying you on his back. You’re silent the whole way up until he reaches Jennie’s apartment.
“You can let me down now.”
“Not yet.” He gives you a small smile before knocking. You hear footsteps and Jennie opens the door.
“Who the hell is knocking on my door at three in the morning?!” Jennie has her eyes closed in exhaustion.
“Hi I’m Yuta and your friend Y/N got locked outside her apartment.” She opens her eyes most likely due to the unfamiliar voice. “Her landlord isn’t coming until tomorrow morning to unlock the apartment. So I got her out the cold and she told me that you could maybe let her stay here tonight.”
“Oh my god Y/N. Yeah, of course, she can.” He let you down and you walked into the apartment. “Thank you so much.” She turned and hugged you. “I’ll go get you some covers and tea.” She ran off somewhere in the apartment leaving you and Yuta alone.
“Well, I hope you can get that apartment unlocked. Have a good night.” He said lingering for a second before turning away.
“Wait.” He froze and turned around with a confused smile on his face. “What about your jacket?”
“Keep it.” You walked out not knowing what to do. “Y/N you should really go back-” he cut himself off when you hugged him.
“Thank you. Thank you so much, Yuta.” He returned your embrace and you both stayed there for a minute. He was so warm and he smelled so good. Like vanilla and cinnamon making you not want to let go. It made your heart fuzzy and your head dizzy. Eventually, you let go even though you didn’t want to. Not wanting to come off creepy or anything. You clear your throat trying to ignore the feeling in your stomach.
“I really do need to return that jacket.”
“Alright. I’ll be back over Saturday and you can give it to me then.” You nod.
“Thanks, Yuta.”
“You’re welcome Y/N. Goodnight.” He waves before walking down the steps.
“Goodnight Yuta.” You watch him disappear and walk back in shutting the door. When you turn around you see Jennie and a big smile plastered on her face.
“He’s cute.” You scowl at Jennie’s remark. “I think you think so too.” Her eyebrow arches up as she smirks.
“Jennie I’ve had a rough night.”
“I know. C’mon I have a whole bunch of movies in my room we can watch.” She hands you a cup of tea and walks off to her bedroom. You look down at the jacket and smile.
True to his word Yuta came by your apartment for the jacket. You wouldn’t admit it until later, but you put a little more effort into your outfit because of him. Even if you only would see him for only a few seconds. In the middle of putting your Mac and cheese in a bowl, you hear a knock on the door and immediately zip towards the door. You wait a few seconds so it doesn’t seem like you just ran to the door before opening it. Yuta is standing outside your apartment, smiling, of course. “Hey.” He says smile getting just a little wider. Of course, a smile reaches your face and you answer.
“Hey.” You both state at each other for a couple of seconds before you clear your throat. “Uh, come in. I’ll go grab your coat.” You step aside and walk away to grab his coat. When the door closes to the room you breathe in deeply fighting back a squeal of enjoyment. You grab his coat and walk out smile still plastered on your face. When your eyes made contact with his, your heart skipped a beat and you could feel your steps falter. He was vivid. His aura making the world seem so much more colorful for some reason. It was so new, but the feeling had you feeling like a giddy schoolgirl. Your heart, for some unexplained reason, was dancing. A joy from out of nowhere filling it. When you handed him the jacket you forgot to let go and you both just had small smiles on your face. That’s when your mouth got a mind of its own. “Do you want to stay for dinner?” You say it rather quickly and then you realize what you had said. Your face filled with shock and you let go of the jacket. “I mean if you aren’t busy. Actually just fo-”
“I’d love to.” Your shock disappears as your smile comes back replacing it. “Is it okay if I put the coat down on the couch?”
“Yeah. Of course.” You walk off pulling out another bowl. “Don’t expect an exquisite meal. It’s only Mac-and-Cheese.”
“Sounds perfect.” You come back to see Yuta at your counter face resting in his palm. You put the two bowls down and head back into the kitchen and pull out the wine. When Yuta sees you with two glasses and a wine bottle he arches an eyebrow. “Trying to get me drunk?”
“For starters.” You reply before unscrewing the cork. He laughs at your response and you smile. His laugh sounding like music to your ears. You put the glasses down and pour them halfway.
“So tell me Y/N how’d you lock yourself out your apartment?”
“It’s a long story.”
“I have all the time in the world.” That night you both laughed until you cried. Opened up about your past. Told each other about passions. Talked about politics and more. You both ended up exchanging numbers that night. One glass of wine turned into three and Yuta had to stop himself. Time whirled on and when you looked at your watch you laughed.
“What is it?”
“We’ve been talking for six hours.”
“Your kidding.” You shook your head lightly laughing. He looked down at his and laughed. “Oh god, it’s almost eleven-thirty.” You both stared at each other for a few more seconds before Yuta let out a sigh. “As much as I don’t want this to end, I have to go. Work tomorrow morning.”
“Don’t worry, I have to go to sleep soon. I’m helping a friend move tomorrow.”
“Well, then I better get on my way.”
“Here let me walk you out.” You both continued a conversation until you reached the door and ended up talking for another ten minutes before he laughed exclaiming how he really did have to go. You opened the door and Yuta walked out of your apartment.
“Thanks for dinner Y/N. That was the best damn Mac-and-Cheese I’ve ever had.” You both break out into laughter.
“Thank you I’ll make sure to stop by Walmart and grab some more.” It’s really sad seeing him leave. Even though you knew he had to go and you had to get to bed soon, you wanted him to stay a little longer.
“I’ll make sure to text you. Goodnight Y/N.” He said joy making its way through as he smiled at you again. You don’t know what compelled you to do what you did next (and you honestly still don’t know to this day.) but, you stood on your toes and kissed his cheek. You backed away looking down at first but bringing your gaze back up to Yuta, who was touching his cheek. Shock on his face before breaking out into a smile.
“Goodnight Yuta.”
“Mmhm.” He said still in some sort of daze. He snapped out of it and started walking away looking over his shoulder at you and waving. You waved back smile plastered across his face. When he was no longer in sight you closed the door falling against it squealing. After calming down you cleaned up the dishes and skipped into the bathroom for a shower. Your stomach was all fuzzy and your heart beating like crazy. You would’ve started dancing if slipping the shower wasn’t something that existed. Turning the shower off you wrap a towel around yourself and walked out to grab your phone, smiling as you see Yuta’s name appear on the screen.
Yuta: I still left my coat.
Y/N: Guess you’re gonna have to come by later and get it.
Yuta: I guess so.
Yuta: How does Tuesday sound?
Y/N: Sounds perfect (:
After awhile your feelings for Yuta grew stronger and you knew he felt the same. It took two months for you both to admit your feelings. His friend and your neighbor, Doyoung held a New Years Eve party. Everyone was drunk off their asses, except for you and Yuta who hadn’t finished your first drinks due to how much you two were talking. Getting interrupted by some of Yuta’s friends. They would end having a five to ten minutes conversation and you just sat there sipping whatever the hell was in your cup. Of course, Yuta would end the conversation returning to you. Everyone was talking about who they were gonna kiss when New Years finally hit. Of course, everyone was trying to get you and Yuta to kiss because the feelings you both had for each other were so oblivious. You and him blew them off ignoring their constant protest. Soon enough you had your cup on the table counting down until the new year began.
“Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Happy-” You’re cut off with a turn and Yuta’s lips connecting with yours. You kiss back as soon as relax throwing your arms around his neck. His lips moving softly against yours. One hand resting on the small of your back the other one holding your jaw gently. Many people cheer in the background at you two and for New Years. Your heart flutters. Skin warming up at the feeling of his soft lips moving against yours. A feeling that you never wanted to go without having ever again. He reluctantly, pulled away once air became a necessity again, resting his forehead on yours. He let his hand fall to your waist pulling you and wrapping his arms around you. “I-wow.” You say breathlessly.
“I know.” You both stay there for a while before you both realize you’re in a room full of people. You both look up and turn your heads to see everyone staring at you two, smiles on everyone’s face.
“They finally did it,” Doyoung yelled and everyone broke out into cheers. You both laugh and fall to the couch.
“Want to go to your place?” You look at Yuta in shock and confusion. “Not like that! Just to talk. In private and in quiet.” You nod and Yuta grabs your hand and zips off through the apartment, you both choosing to ignore the comments people directed towards you. “Tell me you have your key.” You flick his arm and pull your key out of your pocket unlocking the door. Soon enough you two sat on your couch staring at each other. Both afraid to say anything.
“You’re a really good kisser.” Yuta laughs at your comment and you feel a little more relieved.
“You’re not to bad yourself.” You roll your eyes laughing. You stop when Yuta grabs your hands and you look at him a little nervous. “Seriously Y/N. I’ve liked you ever since I had to carry you around in McDonald’s. You’ve brought me so much happiness. In these two short months, I’ve been the happiest I’ve ever been. Everything about you brings me joy. I want nothing more than to bring you the happiness you deserve. I can’t promise that I won’t mess up, but I’ll sure as hell give you everything I have and more. Y/N would you be my girlfriend?”
“Yes. God yes!” You tackle Yuta and kiss him again. When you pull away from him you let a few tears fall. “You’re amazing you know that.”
“I try.” He giggled holding you close. You lay on his chest as he stroked your hair. You resting to the sound of his heart beating.
“Stay the night?” You mumble against his chest.
“As if I could stay away from you.”
Yuta was your first love. He was a lot of your first everything.
He was the first person you ever told I love you.
“Y/N?” You scream and drop the broom.
“Yuta you scared me.”
“Why’d you stop dancing?!” He whined.
“Because I suck at it.” You say laughing at his voice.
“Well, I love it. Almost as much as I love you.” A pause of silence went by. “Shit! Don’t feel like you-”
“I love you to Yuta.” You say closing your eyes smiling. You yell again at the feeling of being lifted off the ground. “Yuta!”
“We’re going to stay in bed all day and cuddle.”
“Yuta I still have to clean! Put me down!”
“You should know by now that I’d never put you down even if you ask.” You laugh as he walks to your bedroom.
He was the first person you moved in with.
“Y/N.” Yuta said sing-songy.
“Yuta.” You lift yourself off the couch matching his voice.
“I have something for you.” You scramble off your couch and run over to him.
“What is it?” You look over to see if you can spot it. He pulled out a box and you froze.
“Calm down it’s not a ring.”
“What if I wanted to be?” You tease, poking his shoulder.
“Trust me. You’ll get one. Eventually.” You smiled and blush at his response. Him thinking he could actually marry you made your heart flutter. Thoughts of a married life with Yuta passes through your head and they almost feel like dreams. Big family. Dogs. Acres of land that you could build the dream house on. A wrinkly you and Yuta, taking care of your future grandkids. Living a peaceful life until the end. It sounded too good to be true. “Earth to Y/N?” You snap out of it and avoid Yuta’s eyes as you caught his smirk. “Here.” You open the box and see a key.
“Yuta.”
“Will you please move in with me? There’s this apartment about twenty-five minutes away from here. It’s new and has a few things we can work on together. You know to make it feel like home, but that’s not even the best part. It’d be a place we could call our own. What do you say?”
“Of fucking course.” You cry out wrapping your arms around his neck. “I love you so much.”
“I love you more.”
He was even the first person you got a pet with.
“Yuta.” You hide the surprise behind your back.
“Yes, baby.” He said not looking up from his book.
“There’s something I want to show you.”
“Y/N what else could you-” He paused as you pulled out a small silver-haired puppy. “Is that a dog?”
“No, it’s a parrot.” You say sarcastically. “Isn’t he cute.”
“Y/N you got a dog.” He shut his laptop, running his hands through his. A slight smile tugging at his lips.
“Correction I got us a dog. Think about it. He’d be our little baby. We could take care of him a raise him ourselves.”
“Our little baby. I like the sound of that.” You blush at his words. Not missing the smug smirk on his face. “Let’s pick out some names.”
“We are not naming him Yuta Jr.” He laughs and the dog jumps out of your hands onto the couch and over to him licking his face. Not missing Yuta’s obnoxious noises. You smile at them.
“Look at my babies.”
You found love, hope and so much more with Yuta. You were only twenty-one when you met Yuta.
And you were twenty-two when you lost him.
“Yuta stay with me and Cooper.” Cooper's head pops up at the mention of his name.
“You know I want to, but I have to go, baby. My boss needs me to come by for a meeting. I promise I’ll bring you back some food.” You groan and hug him tighter. Head laying on his chest and his arms wrapped around your waist.
“You’re comfy and it’s raining hard out there. I wouldn’t feel safe with you going all the way downtown.”
“Y/N I have to go. It’s important.” He slips from your grasp and rummages for some nice pants.
“But Cooper and I are more important.”
“Though that is true, if we want to continue to eat and live here then I need to go.”
“Fine, but you owe me.” Cooper crawls on your lap and snuggles there.
“Keep her warm for me Coop.” You lift Cooper’s paw and sigh.
“You could just stay here and keep mom, warm dad. I think she’ll like that more.” You try to do your best impression of how Cooper would sound. Yuta let out a loud laugh buckling his belt.
“As much as I want to stay here with mommy I have to make sure my boss doesn’t go crazy without me. That’s why I’m depending on you to make sure she stays safe.” He buttons up shirt and tucks it into his black dress pants.
“You won’t even listen to Cooper. I’m shook.” He laughs before walking back over to the bed. He bends down petting Cooper and looks back you.
“How about this I’ll bring you food and candy. Then I'll make sure we won’t leave this bed for a long time.” His voice drops low and you began to feel flushed.
“Mmm. I like the sound of that.” You eyes flicker to his lips and back up. He bends down and gives you a short kiss, but you grab him and give him a more passionate one. Lips parting as the innocent action gets more heated by the second. Cooper moves from your lap and gets off the bed. You pull Yuta down to the bed and he’s on top of your hand caressing your body. Moaning you fall back to the bed. You buck against him and he pulls away, making a trail of open-mouthed kisses down your neck all the way down to the valley of your breast. He pulled your bra down just a little and kisses around the exposed space before pulling away.
“I can’t wait to continue.” Your eyebrows furrow in confusion at his childlike smile. “When I get home.”
“Yuta!” You whine. He cuts you off with another kiss.
“I love you Y/N. I’ll be back before you know it.”
“I love you to Yuta.” You get out of bed with him, hugging one more time. His arms wrap around your waist closing the space between you two. Being in his arms felt so secure. You find yourself casually swaying in his hold, not wanting to leave.
“Y/N I really have to go.” His arms wrap tighter around you before letting go.
“You promise you’ll be back?”
“As if anything could keep me away from you.” He kisses your cheek and slides his blazer on. He waves and you wave back Cooper runs after him.
Irony works in many ways. The next morning you wake up cold with no arms around you. Cooper lays at the foot of the bed and you don’t feel Yuta next to you. A frown immediately is on your face. That’s when you hear something in the kitchen. You hop out of bed and run towards the noise.
“I was wondering where you- Jennie. Doyoung. What are guys doing here?” They look at each other and you can tell something is off.
“Here let’s eat.” Jennie hands you a plate.
“Okay, but where’s Yuta?”
“I’ll tell you when you sit down and eat.” Doyoung’s voice is rough and your heart thuds. He sounded exhausted.
Doyoung is never exhausted.
“Okay.” You take the plate and walked to the table. “Sorry, I’m not wearing anything under the shirt. Yuta let me have it. It’s kinda like our thing. He has some of my socks and hair ties. And I balance it out by taking his sweater and shirts.” You ramble on feeling the tension in the air.
“Y/N eat.” Jennie said sternly and so you stop talking and eat. The atmosphere was tense and both Jennie and Doyoung look so beaten. When you’re done you look at them and raise an eyebrow.
“You guys tell me what’s going on? You’re scaring me.”
“It’s Yuta.” Doyoung said looking out the window. You drop the fork.
“He got in an accident last night.” Jennie said grabbing your hand. Your heart speeds up.
“Is he okay? What hospital is he in? I need to see him.”
(that’s where the actual story starts :))

You sit there in silence and don’t think at all.
Since his death, you’ve been more shut off, as predicted. Your bubbly personality became only a memory to your time with Yuta.
Breath quickening and heart slamming against your chest.
The sun beams down on your neck as you’re u shake and shudder. “If anyone is listening, I beg of you don’t take him. I’ve lost love. I can’t lose my only happiness. I can’t.” Begs and please leave your mouth in a whisper. Your pleas soon slow down and your mouth parts only a little.

You cried with his family and broke down during your speech. The wake was silent and you fought the urge to walk out. You always visit his grave. Make it a requirement to see it at least three times every month, but you always go more than that. You sit there in silence and don’t think at all.
Since his death, you’ve been more shut off, as predicted. Your bubbly personality became only a memory to your time with Yuta.
Breath quickening and heart slamming against your chest.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KIM TAEHYUNG!!
Happy 24th to my ultimate bias! Without this man I wouldn’t even be a kpop fan, and I wouldn’t be a BTS stan. He always brightens up my day, makes me laugh and never fails to make me laugh. His voice has brought me to tears more than I can even remember. Whenever I’m feeling down I can always rely on his weird personality to bring me up. I just want to say thank you for everything you’ve added in my life and wish you a great birthday and many more.
